Best Western Cold Lake Inn

Very nice hotel and we stay here every time we come to cold lake, the breakfast and staff at this hotel are awesome

We were there briefly for business. It’s great to have a nice hotel, restaurant, lounge, VLT machines and liquor store all together. Plus they have a pool, business area and marketplace with snacks, drinks, pain relievers, gadgets, etc. When I travel all day I don’t want to have to get back in my vehicle to go somewhere. Love the amenities and ambiance.

We had an excellent overnight stay on Monday. The rooms, as one would expect at a Best Western, were well maintained, clean and quiet. The beds were very comfortable. I write this review however to comment on the exceptional staff. From the very first phone contact through checkout EVERY staff member we encountered was courteous, helpful, friendly and cheerful. The breakfast was perfectly cooked and once again served by a cheerful and friendly server. With staff like this one feels welcomed and good to be here. Good rooms. Good food. Good price. Great staff. A fine place to stay.

Very clean room. Friendly hostess. Very convenient that there's an onsite restaurant, Sawmill, a liquor store as well as a sports pub. Hotel has an indoor pool with slide and a decent gym.will stay again without hesitation.

Booked it for my nieces pool party. We had a great time and the staff was amazing!

First of all, there are two Best Western buildings right next to each other. One is in the style of the typical hotel, the smaller one is a motel style with doors leading to the outdoors. I had read a review that someone hadn't known they were staying at the motel side and therefore I asked at booking to make sure we would stay at the nicer location. The lady assured me that if you book a room with 2 queens or a king bed you'll be staying at the hotel version. But maybe check if it matters to you.

Breakfast was good for a hotel as vouchers were included so that we could eat at the hotel's restaurant buffet (buffet on the weekends only and to order on weekdays) and sit at their tables. Although the food was not restaurant quality it was still quite good for a hotel with 4 hot options. First day was pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, and hash browns. Second day was french toast, scrambled eggs, bacon and hash browns. With a variety of cold options.

Rooms were smaller but clean and modern. Staff was friendly and attentive.

There is a pool with waterslide and a hot tub. The hot tub seemed a bit murky and I'm not sure if the chemicals were set properly. Also it was dark outside when we went and we found although the pool is lit, that there were barely any lights on creating a kind of creepy experience. My children didn't mind though and had a blast splashing and enjoying the waterslide.

We would return and also recommend. It is a typical, if not slightly better version of a Best Western Hotel.

All the staff is friendly and accommodating from front desk staff, the housekeeping really amazing our room is really clean and comfortable to stay with our kids, the staff in breakfast super hospitable and all their facility is clean. So far this is the best hotel that I’ve experienced. I highly recommended this hotel you are all amazing.

On the plus side they mailed a box of camera gear to Calgary that was left behind after the stay. Very thankful for everything this team has done to make the stay a great one 🙏

I was in-check by Meliza, she was super friendly and nice to me. Throughout my stay for 7 days she always greets me when I am back from my shift work and knows my name also which was very nice. I enjoyed my stay here. Breakfast here are hot served dining but you can get to go boss if you need to eat un go.

We recently stayed here and had a great experience. Our kids were playing in baseball tournament that had been canceled and then not canceled, and the front desk staff, particularly Flo, were very accommodating. During our stay the kids played in the pool and had a great time. Everything was clean and well kept. Axel made us feel like valued guests for our entire stay, he treated us very well and was always smiling and eager to help. I highly recommend staying here and would do again.

We had an enjoyable stay here last fall. The staff were friendly and welcoming. While the Deluxe 2 Queens Room was spacious and clean, we found the lighting in our room a little dim. The pool and waterslide was a hit with the kids. We also got to enjoy the VLT lounge and a nice dinner at Sawmill, both conveniently attached to the hotel.

Fantastic, we had a buffet breakfast, company staff meeting today in one of the banquet rooms. The food was great and lots of it. The staff made sure we had everything and the room was well equipped for everything we needed. Look forward to another meeting soon. Thanks again

Recently my husband and I stayed at the Best Western in Cold Lake. Our stay was exceptional. The staff was friendly and welcoming and nothing short of accommodating! Above and beyond expectations. I was leery about dining in Cold Lake due to my Celiacs but the Sawmill Restaurant was fantastic! Not only do they have Gluten Free options they took the time to use separate pans and cook my food in as close to a gluten free environment as possible. I never once felt ill or like my food had come into contact with gluten. It was a huge relief to get an amazing meal and not think twice. Thank you so much for an amazing stay! We will see you again in July!

This is our go to place when we do a bike ride to Cold Lake. This has the "trifecta" that we prefer in our accommodations - bed, restaurant/bar, and liquor store. All on site. The rooms are very nice and clean. The restaurant/lounge is a Sawmill. The liquor store is at the other end of the building. Another bonus is that breakfast is free and it's a nice array. Totally recommend.

Awesome weekend with the kids!!! Pool was clean and the water slide was an awesome addition!

Great breakfasts included with your room. Cooked to order by a very nice restaraunt on the ground floor.
