Garden City did a wonderful job , the way my wife envisioned in for years. Prompt, courteous , and the team , arborists incl. , cleaned everything up. Will definitely use them again. Job well done.

Excellent service and great product. Ordered some mulch online from their website on a Monday and it was delivered the following day. Mark (who turned out to be delivery driver) called the morning after the order was made to arrange a delivery time. Upon arrival we had a bit of a tricky drop off location, but he was excellent to work with. Nothing was a problem. This is my 2nd order now from GCT&L and their product is excellent. I don't think I'll use anyone else.

Beautiful garden soil was delivered to me today by your soil expert, Mark. He was friendly, punctual, and super fast at getting the job done. He was also able to answer all my questions and provide an excellent product for my needs. I would use this company again for sure!

Unfortunately we had a very large Garry Oak come down, estimated at over 400 yrs old. It was located in the back corner of our yard. The tree split in half and half fell to our neighbour's yard on the downhill side of our house and went through their roof. The other half fell toward the neighbours behind us and went through their roof. One of the halves fell across our pergola and hot tub. In coming down the root balls came out of the ground. This huge tree caused so much damage! Professionals visiting the scene found the reach and extent of this event shocking. It was a complicated job to have three properties involved.
Early in the process Garden City was chosen to handle tree removal for all three properties. Their skill and hard work saw them through the 6 days required to remove the tree pieces. Chris Stansfield, Cory and crew were determined, cautious, and brilliant in their problem-solving and dedication to the safe removal of the large, heavy, and dense Garry Oak pieces.
Through it all they maintained good communication with the home owners and they were vey good about answering questions and acknowledging concerns. Definitely five stars for Garden City!

What's not to like about Garden City? Great service from Mark who guided me to the best soil in town and delivered it within the hour! A far superior product to anything else I've bought in town in over 35 years of DIY landscaping and gardening; beautiful screened soil with no clumps or roots. Thanks Garden City; finding you is like finding a good mechanic... I'm going nowhere else from now on. Great service, great product and a great price.

Garden City is an incredible place to work. They truly care about their clients and team. If you want to build a relationship with good people that know their stuff and will always ensure client satisfaction, or if you want to work with a friendly team that you'll feel accepted into immediately then GC really won't disappoint.

We have a cedar hedge 18' tall and pretty much out of control
It gives us a great privacy screen for our upper deck but was getting way too big.
We considered what to do with it ,take it down and no privacy for 10/12 yrs?
Not a good option but would get us some more garden space, it was some 16 to 18ft wide at the top A Monster hedge!
3 or 4 yrs ago We spoke to Chis Stansfield of Garden City and he came to look at the hedge and agreed it needed to stay for the privacy value, and proposed ways to manage and trim the hedge.
We now have a great hedge (thanks to Cris and co.) that is gradually getting into shape, takes a while, it is we think in the 80yr old range.
He is a great arborist, practical and VERY knowledgeable, His people are fully qualified and insured, efficient and do a perfect job all the time, AND most importantly they like their job and company they work for.
The trucks and gear arrive, job gets done in a professional and courteous manner, place left spotless and we end up with a GREAT looking Hedge.
Thank you and Well Done Garden City on our little bit of Paradise.

While scheduling the tree removal came with a couple hiccups that were mostly out of the control of anyone (weather!) the professionalism of your team from start to finish has made us extremely pleased with your work and your company. The guys who came out to deal with the tree were really nice, extremely hardworking (I was AMAZED at their strength and how brave they are!) and they cleaned up the yard nicer than we'd left it for them!

We lost a huge oak tree in our front yard and Garden City was tasked with the insurance claim. From start to finish, I was impressed with the work that was done. To see the garden where the tree was you wouldn't know the amazing amount of damage that was caused, yet the team at Garden City did a terrific job of making it look better than it did before. A special shout out to James, who put the sprinkler system back to order, and Chlo, who put in the new tree and did all the surrounding landscaping. The mature cedar hedge surrounding my property needed a major reshaping, a significant pruning to repair previous cuts, and a careful trimming to restore a manicured appearance. Garden City Tree & Landscape Ltd. was able to deliver on all accounts.

From the initial consultation and same day estimate from owner Chris, to the professional, knowledgeable, courteous, and skilled attention from the arborist team of Chris and Eva, I received top notch service and excellent value from Garden City Tree & Landscape Ltd. Upon arrival, Chris and Eva outlined their work plan to help restore the health and appearance of the hedge and then kept me updated of their progress throughout the course of the job. Both individuals were very respectful of my property, incredibly hardworking and most helpful with recommending ways for me to care for the hedge until their next visit.

Additionally, I ordered five yards of the company's kelp mulch. Same day delivery and excellent product quality.

After a new sidewalk was installed last year, we were left with our lawn being a foot higher than the sidewalk. We needed a simple solution by creating a new garden bed plus a new pathway to a side gate. The office staff were great and arranged for timely appointment with their estimator. This contrasted with the many other landscape companies that could not be bothered to call us back or simply were not interested in a small residential job. We appreciated being treated like important customers. We want to share a heartfelt thank all the crews that worked on our small project – Jessie, who came up with a plan; Derrick, who fine-tuned the plan, Anita, the gardening expert who listened to our needs for low maintenance and deer resistant plant choices, Sean and Miles, who did the heavy work and installed the irrigation and last but not least, Kiesha and Shane that pulled everything together planting all the new plants plus the ones we had “rescued” before construction last year. We appreciated Derrick and Anita’s suggestions on how to tackle the project and helped us narrow down what our vision was. The crews did a great job of leaving the site neat and tidy everyday, kept us in the loop, asked and answered questions and were a pleasure to work with. Just had this company reshape and trim our cedar hedge, damaged by the snow and they topped and shaped another small group of cedars. Cory and Dan did a great job, looks perfect. They were on time, friendly, professional and cleaned up perfectly. The estimator, Todd, was also prompt, very knowledgeable and friendly. We have no hesitation recommending this company and we will have them back for follow up as needed.

I had several quotes and they weren’t the cheapest but at least they knew what the plants were. Jamie is very educated in horticulture and was able to pick out what to remove and what to install for my low maintenance needs. I also used them to get my irrigation system up and running. Most of it is working perfectly but two sprinklers are still not popping up so that will need to be addressed as I do not want my new plants I paid for to die.

Perhaps I'm biased being under the employ of Garden City Tree and Landscape, but the group of people we have working in this company is like no other and we all strive to not only provide the highest quality product available, we also go above and beyond for our clients. Fantastic owners and a great working environment makes this company top notch.

I hired this firm to do an extensive landscaping job. What had once been beautiful gardens and lawns had been neglected for many years and were in terrible shape. They came in and completely transformed the wasteland into a beautiful landscape. Dead and dying trees were removed and other trimmed to allow a view of the water. A new feature was a gravelled area near the waterfront for enjoying life; a table and chairs made this perfect for relaxing. An existing flower bed was rejuvenated with the removal of blackberries and other weeds and a reduction in size. New plantings made it come alive. Sod was laid and the lawn areas are now lush and green, replacing the weed-filled dead lawn. The finale of this job was the replacing of dangerous old steps to the beach. This project took some time, but communication was great throughout. I always knew what was going on and, if I had any questions, they were answered the same day. I am extremely pleased with the work that this firm has done for me and highly recommend them to anyone who needs works done. The quality of work is second to none and their workers are friendly and efficient.

I was so impressed with the professionalism and quality of work Sean and his team provided. Sean was responsive to our needs and managed to fit us in during a busy time of year.
