Just finished the best wreath making workshop. The staff was so honouring of everyone’s process in making a wreath. Great instructions, amazing items to add to the wreath. Absolutely wonderful experience and loved seeing the Grinch there too.

We picked up a few blueberry bushes for the garden this spring. The staff were happy & friendly (increasingly rare in COVID times it seems). They gave me some great advice and answered all of our many un-blueberry-related questions too with great enthusiasm. They clearly love what they do. I will definitely be back if we happen to need something else garden related down the road.

Unlike the other reviews posted here, ours is for the construction of a deck. We called DTE to quote a retaining wall for our down-sloping backyard. We heeded their advice to avoid this, as the root system for a Garry Oak tree could have been damaged. Plan B was a deck. DTE was very helpful in quoting the project at different sizes and using different materials. We were hung up on the composition of the deck, as I wanted no maintenance, so wood was out. We considered composites, and then settled on Lanai Outdoor Decking. This is a PVC short length (48" x 4 1/2") plank material made in Edmonton that ticked all our boxes: won't fade, bend, lift, scratch, or get too hot in the sun, and it's recyclable.
Trevor is a skilled carpenter, and he produced a rock-solid and attractive deck with full skirting that we are very pleased with. DTE used Victoria Railings for that aspect of the job, and the finished product will give us years of pleasure.
We recommend Down to Earth for deck construction.

Down to Earth Nursery has gone above and beyond to help us with our garden and to ensure we were satisfied. When I worked alongside the crew, they were knowledgeable, kind and caring. They took every measure to keep our property clean during the use of heavy machinery and they even added extra mulch to our front garden which we never asked them to do, free of charge. Our garden is flourishing. I have even contacted them regarding pruning inquiries and they have been more than willing to help answer my questions. I am very happy with the work that was done by Down to Earth team. My front yard is completely transformed. They were able to work with our limited budget and completed the work very quickly. I was very impressed by how well they communicated about the project . It is important to me because I have seen some unacceptable communication ( or lack of one) from other contractors in the past. Eko listened to what my husband and I want and made suggestions taking into account our specific area ( deer, soil conditions, space etc.). From initial design (on a tight budget), to laying of underground sprinklers, adding lush flowerbeds, grass and fencing - we were impressed with the process from beginning to end. We have a newly built home that came with no landscaping - a moonscape, at best. Down to Earth worked with us on every detail, and were in good humour even when we requested some last minute alterations! Of course, we have shopped at Down to Earth for years, and the service and quality of work continue to deserve our loyalty.
