Our Mandi has been going to Sue of Wholesome Hounds for almost two years and she is awesome! She is patient, kind, knowledgeable about her products, and so compassionate. We buy our dog food and treats from there also! It’s a one stop shop for us. We definitely recommend Sue and Wholesome Hounds to everyone!

The Wholesome Hound is wonderful! I only just discovered it, but it will be my go to now for supplies for my dog. From kibble and treats to raw food, supplements and supplies, everything is healthy and top quality.

This by far the best dog food supplier I have found in Victoria. Owner is very kind and she treats my family as if we're part of hers.

She can custom order any food you want, has a good selection of frozen and freeze dried raw food/toppers in stock as well as a variety of treats, and provides good nutrition advise when needed. Provides grooming services in shop if you want it.

If I could give Sue more than 5 stars I would. I 100 percent support this locally owned and operated business.

Went here for Jasper first cut and have been going every since. Sue does amazing job always does what the pup can handle and is so knowledgeable about what to do for at home grooming in between appointments. My pup is a Australian Labradoodle so he has to keep up maintenance every 6 weeks. If any you doodle owners are looking for a groomer who listens to what you want I highly recommend! I was scared at first to get his first cut because I love the look of my doodle looking very teddy bear like and I always read about horror stories about people bringing in there doodles and get more of a poodle look! But not with Sue she is so attention to detail and always makes Jasper look so cute but (handsome) haha I’m always telling every doodle owner I know to go to her! #treatyopup

Wholesome hound is a local woman run business in central Langford. Sue did an amazing job on my girl Doja’s coat! She’s very knowledgeable about the different coat types (Doja being a doubled coated breed), how to care for and not damage them. She’s was kind and gentle with my nervous pup. She also knows a lot about nutrition and her shop is filled with healthy goodies for your four legged family which includes raw food and supplements. I’ve never seen my girl’s coat so bouncy and shiny! I won’t go anywhere else from now on.

Sue always does a wonderful job grooming my Pomeranian Tabitha. Tabi always looks her best after a visit with Sue and we always look forward to the next visit

Wonderful experience at The Wholesome Hound! My dog is anxious/reactive with other dogs, so Sue arranged for us to come for the last appointment of the day. She only has 1 dog being groomed at a time too, which is awesome. My pup was super relaxed when he came out and his nails/coat looked great! Definitely will be going back for future grooming appointments here :)

We were so excited when we saw the arrival of The Wholesome Hound in our neighborhood, a new place to have our 13 year old shih-tzu/pug cross groomed. From the very first time I contacted Sue she has been wonderful to work with. She is very attentive to Chewy. We have had Chewy groomed there twice now and in all the years we have taken him to different places, I have never been more satisfied with his grooming. Sue gives the dogs a special skin and coat treatment called a Nagayu Hydrotherapy, and the softness of Chewy's coat is unbelievable! Pricing for the grooming is very reasonable and well worth it. I love the shop, which is well-stocked with great products. I would recommend The Wholesome Hound to anyone looking for grooming services. Thank you Sue for keeping us organized and on track as well with booking our appointments. I appreciate the extra time and care you take to communicate with your clients (or rather, the fur parents of your clients)!

I stopped by to check out this new store in Langford. She offers very reasonable grooming services, nice quality dog clothing (100% natural fibre and SUPER cute), toys, and a gorgeous selection of food. I'll be stopping by again for sure.

Our sheltie puppy that we are babysitting, needed a grooming, Sue did a wonderful job, especially with this being a very first grooming, the puppy looks sleek, tidy, and so well groomed, and no trauma.! She was bouncing around in the shop with not a care in the world when I came to pick her up! Thanks Sue, we’ll be back!
