Conveniently located just off of Crowchild Trail and Kensington Road Northwest next to the 7-11, this well stocked, clean and organized pet store has been a NW landmark for years and should impress the most discerning of pet owners. Their outdoor bird department has a wonderful selection of bird feeders and houses. The gentleman there always takes the time to help and give any advice he can offer, and has a lot of knowledge of their different bird mixes. Such a pleasure to shop there.

The team here really understand pets of all kinds and are very customer service focused . 100 years in business says it all! We love the place the people and the products. It's where we buy our dog and cat and bird foods and more.

They were friendly and took the time to get to know our dogs! It was my first time there but my friend visits often. It's worth the trip from thr south!

It's always a great trip to Fairplay. Friendly knowable staff who put up with our questions about how to keep the birds happy. I think it's great when they share their own stories. Prices might be a little higher but it's completely local and family owned. I want them to be successful.

They also help carry out heavy dog food bags if you need it, which was helpful when I was 9 months pregnant!

Fairplay is our neighborhood pet supply but I would drive across town for them. The team is wonderful. So knowledgeable and friendly. They have extensive stock of food and other supplies from a wide variety of pets. We have two cats and get everything we need right at Fairplay. They are also great supporters of the community. They always have donation boxes for rescues, support calendar sales and have treats at Christmas for their customers. So happy to have this longstanding family business in my community.

I've started getting my dog's treats here, and have had a great experience so far. They have an awesome selection of brands that I haven't seen anywhere else! I love to see a locally-run pet store.

Pet owners and birders this is the place for quality and exceptional service. Packaged and bulk on a lot of treats and seeds. They will even help you to your car with your purchases. NO bargain basement garbage here. Only high quality products. Been in the same family for years - tell Christine that Doug sent you!

Love this pet store! The staff are always friendly and helpful. They are locally owned which makes me want to support them even more. My dogs also love visiting since they always get lots of pets and treat!

Nice little shop that's tucked away, yet central location makes it a convenient stop. They carry lots of popular brands and some hard to find items as well. No questions asked when I had to return a collar that was defective.

Fairplay is quite possible my favorite pet store in Calgary. I find they have the best selection of food and treats (in fact they are the only store in town I have been able to find my dogs kibble at). All the staff are always happy to help and seem very knowledgeable as well. When I am in need of any dog treats/toys/food Fairplay is definitely where I go!

Came across this store by pure accident- in a coupon book! I had no idea it was around and so well priced. We’ve switched over from competitors and make the longer drive to buy all supplies and food for our two dogs here now. The staff always offers to carry bags up to the front and then out to my vehicle. I’m also able to special order our puppy’s food by calling about a week ahead of time as it’s not a variety that’s regularly stocked. The prices are very competitive and the available coupons really help in this tough economy.
