We rented the big cottage which was clean spacious . Large yard and adjoining forest paths belonging to the resort keeps you occupied and exploring. My daughters played badminton
Waste disposal was very convenient

Simply beautiful! My family and I decided to go camping for the first time together and we had a wonderful experience at Little Mississippi Trails and Campgrounds. The owners, Ron and Evelyn, were absolutely lovely and really made us feel at home. The spot is so peaceful and quiet. There is lots of space to explore, free use of the canoes/paddle boat, clean washrooms with showers, and free firewood. Attention to detail and thoughtfulness were evident throughout our stay (ie a Nature Hut that included everything from microscopes to DVDs for free use). The other campers were also very friendly and the few we talked to are return campers. We will definitely be returning to this gorgeous spot soon!

Once again, another fabulous camping trip to Little Mississippi Campground. Our second trip this year, we keep coming back to this hidden gem year after year! Ron and Evelyn are super amazing hosts, and extremely accommodating. You feel very welcomed, and treated so well here, the personal touch they offer is above all. Ron and Evelyn are always offering to do more for you. The campground is peaceful, the trails quite nice, and the setting on the river is terrific. We will always recommend Little Mississippi to anyone, and will continue to be back time and time again

I just spent two wonderful days here. Tucked away in beautiful forested land, Little Mississippi Trails offers complimentary kayaks, canoes, fishing boats, a paddle boat, and all the gear you need to explore the Little Mississippi river. At night, the quiet, light-pollution free surroundings are perfect for stargazing. The owners, Rob and Evelyn, are friendly people, who made a real effort to make sure we had everything we needed to have a great weekend. I have rarely had a more enjoyable time, and look forward to returning many times.

My husband and I have been camping at Little Mississippi for 5 years and we have enjoyed every minute of our experience. Ron and Evelyn are the best hosts because they genuinely care about their guests having a great time. If you need anything at all Ron is always there to help out, even going to the store for supplies. We have met many of the campers who come on a regular basis as well as the seasonal campers and have enjoyed many nights sitting around the campfire having a laugh with them.

In particular we have enjoyed seeing the deer and the turtles laying their eggs and hopefully the eggs will be ready to hatch before the end of the camping season.

Finally, the main reason I decided to write is the review posted by Kim, I simply cannot imagine she is referring to the same kind and generous people whom I know. However, it will have no effect on me whatsoever, I shall continue to enjoy camping at Little Mississippi.

Please refer to my review on the Little Mississippi website posted several years ago if you wish.

We found this campground while hunting on the internet. We've never been to the Bancroft area and decided to call and inquire. We are so glad we did! From the first phone call talking to Evelyn to our arrival and our stay, we felt comfortable and welcomed.
The campsites are quite large and well laid out. The washrooms are clean with plenty of hot water. There is a microwave and washer available at the washroom building.
Our first trip was so enjoyable, it turned into another with friends tagging along, and then a third in early October.
If you're looking for a small, quiet piece of heaven, we highly recommend Little Mississippi Trails and Campground.

This was our 2nd year coming up to the Little Mississippi campground, and just like last year we were in Heaven! We stayed for 11 days this year. Where else can you camp that is inclusive and you get treated like family. We come here to get away from our seasonal campground in Niagara, as we need a quiet place to just relax and do nothing if we want to. Ron and Evelyn are a very sweet couple. We spoke more to them then we do to the owners at our other campground. Ron checks in us every single day to make sure we are happy and comfortable! Already planning for next years camping trip! Thank you Ron and Evelyn! Can't wait until next year!!

After driving to and from Montreal area visiting friends and family for a week, Little Mississippi camping was a must to relax. Starting with an awesome welcome from Evelyn and Ron who enjoys sharing a laugh and lots of information of the camp and the area. Ron checks with you twice a day to make sure you have everything you need. I couldn't believe how clean and peaceful the site was. Also firewood, games, boats, showers and laundry all included. I stayed two nights there and was a little sad to leave. Now that I'm back home, I miss it already. Thank you Evelyn and Ron for a great new memory.

Such a beautiful place to stay, especially if you want someplace to go with no light pollution! The owners, Ron and Evelyn are wonderful and accommodating people! There are complementary canoes, kayaks, and paddle board, Ron provides free firewood every day, which is amazing! This area needed a good place to camp, and this is it!

My family and I had an amazing time there last week, it was quiet and peaceful. Though I have to admit the best part was when a bull moose ran right in front of our campsite to the river. I'd never seen a moose that close and it was amazing. The sites are beautiful, the owners are very nice, and you're out in the wilderness; what more could anyone ask for?

A little slice of heaven. Exactly what me and my wife need for a getaway. Owners were great and friendly making sure everything was good, even followed up before leaving. Great price which includes everything from boats to kayaks to firewood to enjoy a campfire. The stars in the sky were amazing there. Enjoyed wildlife from friendly chipmucks to blue Jays and turtles. For a small campground I felt like home and will defiantely be returning for more then one week next year. Thank you Ron and Evelyn for your hospitality and friendly service.

I have stayed at this campground several times. Ron and Ev couldn't be more helpful. Whenever they can they go out of their way to meet the needs of the campers. It's a great deal - free firewood, clean washrooms and laundry facility. I appreciate that they watch over the campground and make sure that campers are having a good time and have what they need. The setting is beautiful, natural and peaceful. It wasn't surprising to me that 3 different groups of campers decided to stay a day or two extra.

Such an amazing and unique property. Had the pleasure of staying a week at Little Miss this summer with the family. The kids loved feeding the chipmunks and kayaking in the river. Lots to see in the area, especially the Egan Chutes water fall.

HIDDEN GEM!! Little Mississippi is a great relaxing get-away. Quite and peaceful, kids love the "big tree"!! And finding the gnomes on our walks. Great fishing right off the dock as well as free canoes, kayaks and paddle boat to go on the river. (With approved safety equipment) Nice river, no motors boats annoying you. Beautiful evening kayak ride in the sunset to cap the night off! Loved it!
Evelyn and Ron are the friendliest hosts, and are always make sure we have what we need.
Kids love the nature hut! Didn't need the free wifi as they could always find something to do!!
Also very affordable!
Thanks again for everything! See you again in a few weeks!!

Stayed here in 2018 on a bicycle tour. The host was a saint and the campground was great.
Many hills to get here from the highway but worth it for a night in my opinion.

I am writing this review in response to Kim Shanks review.
This is my 5th year camping their and I have loved every minute of it, even the bad weather that drove Kim and her friends out, yes I was there then and I think I was also their on they're first time their. If I remember correctly you were camped at the site near the rock face, when you got up to leave, you built a 3 foot high fire and just left the campground with the fire unattended.
On your point about the check in, when you enter the camp ground there are two signs, a stop sign and another sign that say's that everyone must check in.
On the use of firewood for the price, this is probably the least expensive campground in the province, I think she should check out the prices elsewhere.
Curious in her review that she doesn't mention their playing of loud music or their 3 dogs running around, Myself and others were happy for the rain that drove them out.
If you are looking for a great place to camp at a great rate, a place were you can hear a pin drop at 10 PM, check this place out.
If you are looking for a place to play loud music and annoy the other campers, than this isn't the place for you.
PS they are motorcycle friendly, I always go up for 2 weeks on my bike.

Fabulous getaway, great wild landscapes, stunning night sky panorama. This a place serene and recharging, away from the noisy blessings of civilization.
Ron and Evelyn are the perfect hosts accommodating everyone and making their best to have their guests feeling at home.

Thank you so much!

This is an awesome place. When we arrived we realized we forgot marshmallows and matches . The owner found out, drove to the store and picked up both items for us and left them on our picnic table. When we were leaving I had trouble getting our trailer out so the owner chainsawed a large stump off to make it easier for us. The definition of going above and beyond. Great place to stay.
