New Glasgow Public Library

My family visited New Glasgow recently, and I honestly can't express adequately how impressed I was with the children's section at the lovely local library! I'm a preschool teacher and homeschooling mom so I always check out libraries. This one is the best of the best! From the photos proudly documenting block creations to the magical diorama in the aquarium inviting kids to daydream and observe...the huge lego table...the thorough fiction and non-fiction sections amd the curated quick-picks, the whole place was an absolute delight. We have nothing comparable in the large and absurdly expensive city where we currently live. Kudos to the librarians, you're awesome!

Great library. Lots of activities for kids, free wifi, computer stations and of course a great selection of books.
There’s also a room of records / old news papers from the area that’s pretty nifty

One of friendliest places in the county. Also a great place to find out what is happening in and around Pictou County. Very well-informed and welcoming staff.

Thanks for setting my mom up with the new samepage library card. She’s trying to get back into reading and I’m trying to spend less money on books 📚😅

Books, movies, puzzles, wi fi and great people for a chat.Many an hour can be spent in entertainment at the local library and with a free card , you can take some home with you.Staff are so helpful and patient when questions are asked and I love the free book rack for summer reading.Love this place.

Really good library, highly recommend this library. Lots of books, access to the internet... Best of all great staff.

Nice place, free WiFi and use of computers, can print stuff here, they just ask for donations for printing. Friendly staff.
