One of the hidden gems in Nova Scotia. How can a restaurant be so perfect? Nice and delicious! A very professional, kind, and caring lady in charge! WOW! The food was cooked to perfection. It was so tasty and yummy!

The wait staff is what always brings me back: Customer service at its highest quality. I've been popping in to Cafe Italia since the beginning, not a regular by any means, but the staff treats you like you are. The food is always hot and delicious, and I HIGHLY recommend the italia salad, warm spinach salad as well as the garlic fingers, which I will testify are some of the best in the county.

A must stop if you are in the town of New Glasgow as a visitor, or a resident.

This was my 1st time coming here in the 5 or so years of visiting New Glasgow. I must say I wish I came here a lot sooner as the pasta and cheese cake were incredible! Way better then anywhere I have had in the city of Halifax where I am from.

I highly recommend anyone who likes pasta to try this place out!

Whenever my husband and I are in the New Glasgow area we always try to stop here. We are from Halifax and have lots of Italian places to pick from, but we like Cafe Italia. We always start with the garlic fingers with bacon, always hot and delicious. For the main we will often get a slice of the famous PC pizza and a side salad or this time around we both had a pasta dish. I always go for the rose sauce and hubby tried a spicy pasta dish. Meals were accompanied with garlic bread and a shaving of parmasean table side. Can't wait for our next meal!

I always make it a priority 2 a lot for sometime to take my girlfriend to this lovely location. Food the service the environment top notch, highly recommended.

Stopped to look at a menu. Waitress was very nice and hospitable. She brought our obviously hungry son a pack of crackers while we decided if we'd stay. Prices were on par with other restaurants in town ($1-2 more than I'm used to) but nice outdoor seating on the sidewalk patio. We ate elsewhere so we could get takeout and go to the river to eat.

Every time I’m in New Glasgow, I always go to Cafe Italia. Their garlic fingers and BBQ Ranch chicken wrap are to die for. They have amazing prices and a great menu. The staff is ALWAYS so nice. The waitress (I don’t know her name) remembers what my usual is! Very delish place to eat.

Super yummy salad and sandwich! Service was friendly and excellent! After great food expected a little more from the dessert but will try another one next time. Highly recommended.

Casual atmosphere, great food. I had the Italia salad (with a refreshing raspberry dressing), a vegetarian pizza (doughy crust, melted cheese, baked to perfection) and a glass of red wine. Desserts looked great, but no room left! Highly recommended.

Best pasta & ceasar salad I've ever eaten! I highly recommend the Rose Florentine! The waitress is lovely and there's not much of a wait for food.

We just happened upon Cafe Italia when looking for a spot to eat on our way back to PEI. The hostess was exceptionally accommodating and the food was top notch! Definately will visit again next time we are in New Glasgow.

Delicious food and fast friendly service. If your down on the riverfront and are looking for a meal that's delicious and affordable this is the place to go. Would highly recommend to anyone. A+

A favourite restaurant among family, friends, locals. Delicious food, friendly staff, great atmosphere. My favourites: penne arrabiata, warm spinach salad, the best garlic fingers anywhere, chai latte and the white chocolate amaretto cheesecake when it's available! But everything is delicious.

Ordered for the first time today as I moved here not long ago. Great service and very tasty good!

Quaint restaurant in small town Nova Scotia. Great service and amazing food, coffee and desserts. Hometown hospitality. Italian food with east coast options. Highly recommend this hidden treasure.

I had the penne Arrabiata and it was delicious. Although I didn't have to "call the fire department" the spice was just right. Pasta and vegetables were both cooked perfectly with a nice crunch accompanying the green pepper and just the right texture for the penne. Well done.

Dollar-for-dollar probably the best eating experience in New Glasgow. Under $10 for a large slice of pizza and salad with drink. Excellent pizza and great salad

We got to the restaurant 1 hour before closing and were made to feel very welcome. The food was hot, tasty and the service was excellent.

Been going here for years and sure enjoy the atmosphere and the staff. They are wonderful and the food is excellent!!
