Best little museum on the upper coast, right across from the entry point to the Skookumchuck rapids hike.

Great local stories and collections from the yesteryears.

Lela's glass collection is stunning.

Some pretty cool old boats and tools - holy cow some of the chainsaws are HUGE! Not sure how a 21st century person would be able to wield one of those bad boys.

What a wonderful heritage centre. It’s definitely a hidden gem. We looked at every item in details, some of them you can even touch. Speechless of all the history behind this area.

Lots of love and care dedicated to this museum. Very welcoming. Museum is by donation. Staff r super friendly and welcoming. Maureen gave me a tour and taught me how to use Morse code and I communicated my name. Wonderful experience. I wish I could have spent more time. Wonderful experience!

I witnessed the one star incident spoken about yesterday. I did not see how the young woman could feel unsafe. I just thought they were sharing opinions. Sometimes opposing opinions can feel like conflict. It's tricky. I felt a little sad for both of them.

Arrived on my bike in the rain on a day they were closed. Was worried about my things being left on the road while I got coffee. Sam was awesome & let me park under cover & under her watchful eye!

The kids had a great time looking around the little museum and the “hands on” experience with the telegraph and the musical instruments. There is also a piano you can play and the ladies that were there were SO nice and welcoming!

Great stop before heading off on the trail to the Skookumchuk Rapids. Quaint museum by donation with a small gift shop.

They have the tide charts posted here so you can time your trek accordingly.

EV Charger is free and there are washrooms here too.

This is a great interpretive centre. The articles are displayed very well in an interesting manner. The local stories from pioneer farmers and fishers to relocated Japanese bring the area to life. Admission is by donation making it a bargain(but don't be cheap)
