Very cute little cafe/ bakery tucked in by the trailhead to the Narrows. Delicious coffee, great service and the best breakfast sandwich we’ve had in ages. The cinnamon buns and muffins are amazing too. Wish we could eat here every morning!

Super cute cafe nestled in the woods along the beginning of the skookumchuck trail. Great iced mochas, cookies and cinnamon buns. They have recycling. Really fun vibe. Loved the atmosphere and the cinnamon bun earns up to its reputation. So soft and delicious. Highly recommend this place. Open in summers Wednesday - Sunday. Check their website for details.

Great Bakery and Coffee shop in the perfect spot for a snack before or after the hike in the Skookumchuk Narrows. Check out the cinnamon buns .. holly yum. Great service, staff and there is a little bit outdoor seating.

I found this place because we needed breakfast and a packed lunch for an all-day boat tour with Sunshine Coast Tours in Egmont. I was prepared for an unhealthy breakfast of raspberry slice, but to my delight, they offer made-to-order breakfast sandwiches, and eggs on toast! We had a relaxed breakfast, eating outside in the tree house. The lady on duty pours excellent espresso shots. She also makes good microfoam with Pacific Foods Barista Oat Milk – but we found out one time while she was on break that not everyone there is skillful like her in making a good coffee drink. For the boat tour, we ordered a ham and a vegetable sandwich. I really enjoyed the ham sandwich, the ham was thickly sliced, tender and not very salty. The ham is locally roasted. We enjoyed the house made sour dough bread – it was quite substantial and makes very good toasts as well. The vegetable sandwich is not as good because the vegetables were cut too small and they keep falling off the sandwich. We came back two more times while hanging around Egmont. Their banana bread was very good. I meant to try a cinnamon bun, but because I'm trying to avoid sugar, and cinnamon is high in histamine, so, I never did get to taste it. This is a delightful little place, and it makes Egmont more exciting as a holiday spot.

A friend of mine told me that I have to give this place a chance as they have one of the biggest cinnamon buns she ever had. We gave it a try and I will add to her quote that not only the cinnamon bun was huge, it was divine.
The turkey sandwich was beyond amazing. Fresh, delicious, crispy bread.
The hot chocolate was so delicious too.
And, can we have something cooler than sitting in the balcony of a cafe in the middle of a forest in a rainy day and enjoying your food? I don’t think so!
And the staff we super friendly. The service was so fast that you get your food as soon as you find your seat. Loved it!

Incredible bakery en route to the narrows. Make sure to stop here first, grab a coffee and a pastry. The baristas/servers were incredibly attentive and the food was simply delicious.

Enjoying my coffee surrounded by all the trees was so refreshing.

“Is that really a bakery?”

At the very start of the Skookumchuck trail to see the narrows.

It’s like a mirage in the Sahara desert, only you’re not in north west Africa, you’re in Egmont, British Columbia, and it’s not a mirage it’s a bakery.....

I wish I could take this place with me everywhere I go. Honestly I do. You know when you’re travelling through places, getting further and further away from hustle and bustle, expecting food and drink selections to be limited, primitive and probably quite bad. Well let me tell you something Mister (or Mrs)....

This place is 10/10. i.e. zero room for improvement. The only problem is this bakery has now set such a high bar that all other remote cafes, bars, restaurants and road or hiking stops are alas forever inferior.

First off have a cinnamon bun. One big one can easily be split one or four ways. I go one way. Digest.

Next breakfast sandwich on a sourdough English muffin... I’ll never buy or consume a packeted English muffin ever again and guess what? I’m English.

Now go for a walk (or wobble) down the trail. 8K total. Good luck with that.

Walk done! And oh what’s that? The bakery again. If you have any sense you’ll go for round two. Take another cinnamon bun if there’s any left and get a sandwich. The grilled cheese was filthy and the BLT was again of course the best I’ve ever had. A little touch of pesto inside that touched my heart.

The tunes are booming and the vibe was great. There’s children playing and dogs sniffing around. Bikers and hikers congregating. And everyone seems good. Maybe the happiest place on the Sunshine Coast in the summer months.

A must go.

Simply your quintessential Pacific Northwest Cafe. A bakery in a forest. Perfection in every way. Phenomenal design, amazing staff, delicious baked goods. Stop and take the load off for a while. You won't want to leave.

We returned to this delightful Bakery within the forest of the Skookumchuk Rapids hike.

Came for breakfast. Had a breakfast sandwich and a couple of the most delicious cinnamon buns on the planet.

There was a line up which is saying something for a bakery in a forest, but this place is the place to head to for breakfast and a walk in the woods when in Egmont.

We will always return to this Bakery when staying at the West Coast Wilderness Lodge at least once during our stay.....

Came here once when exploring Egmont and then had to come back every day of our holiday because the fresh baked treats were just too good and the coffee was excellent. They offer a variety of milk options as well as some vegan and gluten free snacks.

Sitting on the deck you can watch a babbling brook as you sip your coffee.

A great stop to fuel up before hiking to the Skookumchuck narrows. Make sure you arrive before noon if you want the breakfast sandwich!

The cutest little bakery in the forest! What a pleasant surprise it was to stumble upon here after a lovely hike. Their cinnamon bun is the best I’ve had in my entire life - I only wish I got the bigger one.
