This is an absolutely magical campground, cannot recommend it enough. The cabins and facilities were the nicest I have seen (better than pricey Tofino sites). Cheyenne and Dwayne have created such a special place at Strongwater - from the twinkle lit garden to the ponies and chickens - it is charming through and through. Plus they are two of the most hospitable people I have ever met. Even when it was busy with people coming and going, they were exceedingly kind and patient with each group, treating everyone like they were an honoured guest. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a whimsical camping experience!

Unbelievable experience! I have never met such wonderful people as the hosts are. The place looks like a paradise. So many animals, very clean, absolutely beautiful. We were camping (great campsites). For now, we put our van in garage. It is getting cold, but that will be our first trip in the spring for sure. We will bring our granddaughters and the whole family. They have to see this amazing place. Thank you very much for being so friendly and cool!

This is such a magical and wonderful place and became the best part of our trip to the Sunshine Coast. We dropped in without a reservation after the ferries were cancelled to the Upper Sunshine Coast and we were scrambling to find a place to stay for the night. Cheyenne greeted us with so much warmth and hospitality and offered us a beautiful, rustic cabin for the price of a campsite. We felt so welcomed and taken care of and felt very lucky to spend the night in such a special place surrounded by so many cute animals. Thanks Cheyenne and Dwayne for such a wonderful stay! We're looking forward to returning next year!

We were so lucky to have scored a spot here for a few days enjoying the Skookumchuck narrows and Egmont bays. Cheyenne was so gracious and the kids absolutely loved the chickens ducks and mini horses. Bathroom/shower facilities were clean and area had good amount of shade and privacy. A bit dusty in campsite and some highway noise but absolutely will stay again.

Amazing stay here! Cheyenne was absolutely lovely and made me feel very welcome after a long hard cycle. I camped here and the grounds were perfect, quiet, peaceful and in nature. The cabins looked great too. Toilets are clean, hot showers, and really nice wooden decor inside. Dwayne even helped me repair my bike the next morning. The best campsite I have stayed at in a long time :)

This weekend was our second time staying at Strongwater in less than a month because we loved it so much the first time. The cabins have everything you need, while still having that rustic feel. I highly recommend the loft if it’s available! The animals are very sweet, all with different personalities. The location is great, a short bike ride to everything. They have two canoes you can take out on the lake if you want to paddle to your own private spot. Thanks for having us again Cheyenne and Dwayne! We will be back :)

Charm and fun are the top words I would use to describe this place. I never imagined a simple camping trip would turn into evenings running around with miniature horses, wakeups from a goose outside my tent, and the nicest and most accommodating hosts in the entire Sunshine Coast. Everything is within walking distance to trailheads, docks, cafe, and restaurants. The views and wildlife are plentiful.

What an incredible place! Thank you Cheyenne and Dwayne for your hospitality, warm welcome, and beautiful accommodations. This place is true paradise. We took the mini horses for a walk around town, checked out the thrift store, and wish we had more time to take the canoes out! Dwayne and Cheyenne, thank you for your generosity and sharing your home with us.

We had fun with Cheyenne and her feathered friends whom she introduced one by one -some of the hens were fancy breeds that I’d never seen before.
Cheyenne had a cute little one room cabin ready for us.
The outdoor plumbing consisted of showers on a cement floor and hot showers. Men’s and gals' separate for privacy. Solar lights line the way for nighttime visits.
Also included is a red canoe to get out on the water.
We were very satisfied and would reserve ahead.
Thank you to Strongwater staff and all the birds and ponies.

Spent a weekend here and loved every minute of it. Cute cabins with mini fridge, fans and lots of windows. Very cozy vibes. Close to the water, delicious bakery/breakfast spot near by the museum. Would come again for sure.

Cheyenne and Dwayne are the most wonderful hosts at their beautiful cabin and campsite. I highly recommend visiting them.
There are clean washrooms with running water as well as a clean up area to wash the dishes.
We were invited to use their canoes to paddle in a pristine lake walking distance from their site. We hiked to Skookumchuk Narrows and another day boated to Princess Louisa Inlet and Chatterbox Falls.

We had a wonderful stay at Strongwater Campgrounds! If I could give more than 5/5 I would. It was my boyfriends 30th birthday and Dwayne and Shyanne went absolutely above and beyond. They event bought him a cute Egmont shirt when they were out. Highly recommend. The eggs are great too!!! Thanks for a EPIC stay.

We parked our camping van there overnight. Cozy spot in the forest with easygoing hosts. Clean and well maintained sanitary bloc.

Owners went above and beyond to make a special birthday wish come true for my daughter! We rented a gorgeous cabin for a gaggle of teenage girls to have a little “glamping” adventure and knowing it was a birthday party they made it extra special for us! Plus all the adorable farm animals are a great little extra touch! Highly recommend this place for a great getaway, lovely cabins, lovely hosts and again… FARM ANIMALS!!!

We recently stayed at Strongwater camping and cabins and we rented the sunset group site. We had 5 cabins and some tenting sites too including the kitchen which was located in the pink bus. We stayed for four nights with families and friends. Cheyenne and Dwayne were so accommodating because one of our friends were tenting but we didn't anticipate that it would be pouring rain for 2 days out of our 4 days, when we asked for an extra cabin they managed to give us one and didn't charge us extra for it. She also made sure that all our senior citizen parents were safe and having a good time because it was their first time being there. Our parents were so appreciative of the owners that every time they see them they would give them food and fruits. Cheyenne and Dwayne are not Filipinos but they sure resemble a lot of our cultural values. Hospitable, fun, and accommodating. Everyone had fun and slept comfortably in the cabins. Thanks Cheyenne and Dwayne for sharing good memories with us. Strongwater campgrounds make us feel like we are home:) We'll see you again next year!

Really fun campsite with a relaxed atmosphere. Cheyenne and Dwayne make you feel at home as soon as you arrive and are very friendly and accommodating hosts. Their many critters add to the fun vibe and are not bothersome to campers. I’ve stayed in both a campsite and a cabin here and would recommend either. The cabins are very rustic and cozy but still feel very clean and well maintained. The smells remind me of being at summer camp! The campsite is well laid out with nice clean bathrooms and hot showers with good pressure. Great location for hiking the Skookumchuk narrows or exploring the lakes around Egmont. You can take the campsite canoe out on Waugh Lake and paddle out to a swimming hole and relax or explore the shores. Highly recommend the Inlet restaurant for breakfast as it has delicious food and a stunning view. There is also a pub close by and the Egmont general store is well-stocked for camping food and supplies. Staff everywhere are friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be back!

Absolutely THE spot to stay when visiting Egmont to fully immerse yourself in this wild locale. You will truly feel like you're "on Egmont time here". The proximity to the wonderful general store, government dock and our amazing thrift shop is perfect, as well as mere steps from the trailhead for the hike to the Skookumchuck Rapids and the Skookumchuck Bakery and Cafe, and the Egmont Heritage center which is worth a visit to get a well rounded understanding of the areas rich and potent history.
The accommodations at Strongwater are meticulously clean and incredibly comfortable while maintaining the rugged feeling of being in the backcountry while steps from all amenities. The property boats wonderful flora and fauna and if interacting with majestic farm birds, pigs, and miniature horses is your cup of tea - look no further. They've got it all! 10/10 would recommend to anyone coming to the area!

My stay at Strongwater was an unexpected delight. I intended to stay here for one night to get ready for a kayaking expedition but changed my trip around and extended my stay on the property due to the warm welcoming from the hosts, Cheyenne and Dwayne. My experience with them was wonderful. They are honest and genuine and extremely understanding. I believe that what you bring is what you get and we got off on a great foot. I was in for for meeting new friends and we enjoyed hours of conversation, home cooked meals and great introductions to their farm animals. I must also add that this is a MUST for those visiting the Skookumchuck rapids as their property is just a 2 minute walk down the road. I will be back as soon as I can! :-)
