Holiday Inn Express & Suites Drayton Valley, an IHG Hotel

The staff there are absolutely amazing, always smiling, and are super friendly. I've practically lived here for the past year and have no complaints yet. The rooms are always nice and clean when I arrive, and cleaned again when I come back from work. The only thing I can say here is maybe change the sheets after a week, haha.
The location is good, and Drayton Valley is small, so things aren't too far from each other. The manager there is amazing, I think Kala is her name 🤔. Very professional, easy to talk to, and is helpful in every aspect of making my stay more comfortable. 10/10 if I could.

***EDIT: the staff are amazing, so I went a full star up. Breakfast is horrible but they had fresh cookies (thank you Susan you’re amazing!) and soup, so that pushed it to 4.5/5 rounded up to 5.*** 18 Nov 23

The rooms were good. The breakfast was your basic continental breakfast, I was better off bringing a skillet and cooking my own breakfast in the room.

Some staff seem clueless as they woke me up several times for stupid things, like asking when I’m checking out or trying to come in my room after I explained to them I was on night shift. The hotel wasn’t even full but you could tell they were anxious to get us out of there. And the room wasn’t cleaned once in 10 days of staying there.

Most of the staff seem really friendly, except the really small one, she was not outgoing or friendly at all. And when I grabbed a few ketchup packages and a pepper pack from the breakfast room to put on my breakfast in my room she stared at my hand, and then at me suspiciously like I was stealing.

Did not feel too welcome at this hotel. But the beds, pillows and the fact the tv channels actually work brings this hotel up to a 4 star rating, otherwise it would have been 2.

Close to lots friendly clean and fair prices for what you get good hot shower priceless when you need one..

Blown away by the incredible service and care the staff showed here. It was late in the evening on a cold (-35) blustering Boxing Day and my wife and I had just hit a deer north of town. We managed to limp the car to town but we had the dog with us and all our stuff for a belated Christmas with family. The staff went above and beyond helping us in every way possible. Our room and our stay were great despite the Christmas plans gone sideways. Thanks guys, you saved Christmas for us!

2/3rds of my life are lived in hotels and alot of the time it's a fight to get them to clean rooms anymore. This one is awesome clean rooms good breakfast staff is good with billing.

The hotel looked new, and had a beautiful welcoming lobby. The desk clerks were all friendly and helpful. The King Suite room we booked was spacious, clean and the bed very comfortable. Great Wi-Fi service and cable TV. We did not use the gym or hot tub which were available. The complimentary hot breakfast in the great room was fantastic, the decor elegant and the service efficient and friendly.

Ample parking, quiet location, close to a new IGA and a restaurant across the road, make this hotel an ideal location for oil industry workers, business people and tourists alike. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would use this hotel on future visits to Drayton Valley again.

A great place to stay after driving all day. Hard to knock on a new hotel. Good wifi, room was clean, shower head excellent, breakfast was plentiful. Nice layout & design. Tried the hot tub, but it wasn't hot.

Some of the best hosts ive had the pleasure of coming across. Rooms were cleaned fast every morning before nightshift got in. Hot breakfast with good variety as well. Friendly staff and everall awesome stay

Pretty standard holiday inn express. I got an upgrade and a cheaper rate, so I was happy about that. There is ample parking, not a lot nearby to walk to for food, so I ordered pizza. All in all, it was a good stay

i just wanted to share how great my experience was at the holiday Inn express at Drayton Valley, Alberta. It really all started with the unbelievable service i got from one individual inparticular, that name being Vanessa.
First of all she was very genuine and sincere, secondly her follow up and her care for detail and the small things was fantastic. If i owned a company in that area i would try and hire Vanessa away from the holiday Inn, she would be an incredible asset to any company. The hotel itself was great , they met all my needs and had excellent facilities . A true thumbs up ! Keep up the great work Vanessa.

Well adjusted hotel during this outbreak. They have a small breakfast selection that you can grab on your way out and the staff are all COVID conscious. Would recommend.
