Elevated Experience Camping | Willey West Campground

What a great place for all ages. We loved watching the little ones running and tumbling down the grassy hill of the playground. Imaginations run wild on the Sasquatch trail through the woods. And then there are the fairies and the dragon! Games and peddle cars to rent for the whole day. Sunday pancake breakfast is a feast for all.
So close to Edmonton and Drayton Valley that you can get there after work on Friday and have a full evening of relaxation to begin your weekend. Guests can stay in the cozy cabins if they don’t have their own RV.
And then there is the river! Can you believe how warm the river water is to play in? Or you can sit in the Adirondack chairs on shore and watch the fun.
I am especially impressed that the campground operates as a sheltered workshop providing work experience for individuals.

We had our first family experience at Willey West last summer and I cannot say enough great things about it. Before we even got to the park entrance, one employee greeted us and made our kids feel so special. During the weekend she stopped by multiple times to make sure we were enjoying our stay. It’s super clean! Lots of room in the camp sites. Great kids playground! Beautiful scenery! Pet friendly, when we checked in the gave us a tag for our pups collar with our campground number on it , incase she was misplaced!! Definitely a must stop in your camping season.

We absolutely love camping here! I’ve been coming to this site ever since I was a kid / still thoroughly enjoy it now as an adult.

The staff members are always so kind & courteous, they truly go above & beyond for all of the campers here. There’s lots to explore around the area as well - including a variety of forested trails, the river, different activities for kids, etc.

Can’t wait to come back again next year already! Thank you so much for providing such an excellent camping experience. We’re big fans of it all around to say the least!

Loved this place alot. The camping lots are fairly decently sized if you're tenting and about average if you have a trailer. Very nice fire pits with a big field and playgrounds. Outhouses are average but the shower unit is clean and nice, bring coins.
There are powered options available for people wanting power, Pizza and Fire wood delivery as well from the main office. Friendly staff and yummy snacks. Great view of the valley and a nice boat lunch to sit around by the water.
I will be back here to camp in the future.

We stayed from July 22-25 and it was a fantastic trip! Nice, private sites with lots of trees. Everyone was super friendly and helpful and my dog Milo got so many treats from the staff. The young lady working the ice cream parlour on Sunday, July 23 was so wonderful. I believe she was in training and was really doing her absolute best, so shout out to her. They also gave my husband a birthday gift which was so nice and unexpected! Love the firewood and ice delivery right to the site. My only complaint is about the outhouses next to the river, which could have been better maintained, but also: they’re outhouses lol. We were so sad to leave but we’ll definitely be back next year. Thanks again!

My hubby and I stayed from August 5th - 7th. The sites are beautiful, and you have your own space and the campground is super clean and well taken care of. The staff is super friendly, helpful, great on delivery times, and will point you to where the best river spots are! Very kid friendly with a playground, pedal bike rentals, game rentals, and mini golf and more. They also have great access to the river for boating and swimming spots. Everyone that works here is very nice and tries to make it the best experience for you. Camping neighbour's are super nice. I will be coming back for more trips in the future!!!!

We always have a great time here. There is so much to do from pedal cart rentals, ice cream, mini golf, walking trails, swimming … and the list goes on. They had lots of extra activities to do for Canada Day when we were there as well.

Feeling like taking a break from the grill? Try one of their fresh made pizzas delivered right to your site. And make use of their multiple book-trade stations throughout the campground. The staff are always friendly and ready to help.

The whole family look forward to our next trip.

So we have been coming here for the last four years at least 3 weeks over the summer. This campsite has everything for all ages.
If you want to rent a electric bike to games and there is lots to do for everyone.
Fishing in the river , swimming in the river from shallow boat launch area, This camp site has awesome trails that go into the little park next door,
Over the years we have brought many friends and other campers who have returned year after year. The staff here are very friendly and helpful.
We always enjoy the pizza that is delivered to your site.
The facility's are good, Nice park for kids and open area for games etc.

This place is exactly what is in their name ELEVATED!! We always book this gem! Sites are perfect there isn’t what I call a bad site all nicely treed, very clean, lots to keep children busy, very dog friendly, owner pleasant and extremely helpful and top it off free coffee brought to the site one morning and left on picnic table!! Then have great variety of ice cream that we go for nightly after supper !!

We stayed here for 3 nights & it was awesome. Very treed & private site. The complimentary coffee was an amazing treat on Saturday morning. The ice cream and candy shop was neat & definitely helped during the heat wave. The campground is very easy to find and not far from Edmonton at all. Very kid friendly & it was a great experience. We will definitely be back.

Had an absolute blast. The area is so nice! The staff are amazing! The campsites are very well kept and affordable! And the multiple amenities are just fantastic! Absolutely recommend this place to anyone who wants to Glamp, campers with a trailer or tent! For those who have kids, or enjoy outdoor games with friends - this is definitely the place for you!
No swimming, but a lot of great river fishing areas-and a few good hiking trails! There's also a huge park for kids which I found super nice!

This place is one of our favourite camp sites! It is a go to, with the fam jam, and times with just us and the dogs! Absolutely beautiful location, with the most amazing staff! 2024, here we come!

Awesome place! The campground has been on our yearly steady rotation for camping for the last three years. It's a family favourite as there is something for everybody to do. Nice trails, big playground, large private sites, fishing and our favourite, the sand volleyball pit. Service has been great, add it gets better every year. We'll definitely be back next year!

Campsite is great! Clean, cozy and quiet.
The management are also great.
When booking for camping, you can not choose who will be your neighbor during your stay. What happen was, there are people didn't train their dogs well and they let them bark a lot of times. They tied their dogs on vacant site and didn't care to keep it down. We don't complain to management often but we value our time to relax and unwind. We had no choice but to talk to management. When I complained to the management, they immediately went to the site and saw for themselves. They took action and dealt with the situation immediately! I liked what they've done and we had quiet days relaxing in the site. I will keep coming back.
Also, I love what they are doing during Sundays and Monday of long weekends, the $5 pancakes with sausages and coffee. Makes our life easier on the last day to prepare for going home. Kudos to the management!

Great campground, lots of amenities. We love coming here yearly with our dogs. Washrooms both flushable and outhouses are clean. Staff are polite and helpful. Great trails, especially then nature trail looking for gnomes, for walking and biking and love the river close by. My kids enjoy the games and go carts to rent, and activities put on throughout the year. Definitely will be back and highly recommend!

This is our second annual long weekend in August camping experience! We luv this campground as there are many amenities and perks! The playground is accessible for kids of all ages! The ice cream parlour was a big hit and we luved walking the trails to find sasquatch! Staff are always friendly and working hard at ensuring we have a positive and memorable stay! Had my first ever solo camping trip back in August and even though I was rained out the first night, mostly because I couldnt get my tarp up right to get my tent up and it got too late and had to sleep in my car but it didn't sully they rest of the experience. The site was huge! even with my large tent and suv. I went to get wood and ice cream and the girls working the buildings were great and very polite, and having the wood delivered to my site was even more awesome. I can't wait to bring the family back cuz the kids will love the huge playground I saw when I drove in. With family or solo I will definitely be back again.

This is my favorite campground! Me and my family go every summer as often as we can! It offers a lot of great amenities and is fun of all ages!!

Of all the campgrounds we’ve stayed at, this is one of the nicest.
It’s old enough that the sites are nicely treed with lots of privacy, and all are a good size.
The walking paths are beautiful.
EEC does a fantastic job running it.
Great service, and amazing amenities.
The bikes are a great rental (not just for the kids, the parents also love them), the store is well stocked, great ice cream too.
We go at least every summer and we’d love to get out there more.
