Traveling Solo I was recommended to this restaurant
The first thing the front of house was really welcoming and let me choose table or Bar. I chose bar, my coat was taken for me and ice water in front of me as soon as I sat down
The service was attentive and respectful
The martini was excellent
The menu was carefully explained
The wine was sampled before purchase
The delivery of food was as I asked when I was ready even though the restaurant was really busy

I was made to feel welcomed

As for my meal it was everything I wanted, beautiful vegetables, excellent jus, tender meat. Generous portions and more than I could eat
The dessert was delightful a cloud of pastry, pear and chocolate.

My husband and I went for my birthday dinner last night, and although this place wasn’t our first choice, we loved it!
I was looking for a quiet atmosphere
and the place did not disappoint us. The food was great, delicious dessert, the service was amazing and our server was really nice!
We absolutely recommend this restaurant!

Sit at the bar for a royal treatment. Hobnob with diplomats. Get the Braised Cheeks. Not a single bad dish at this establishment. Good wine and desert selection too.

We had lunch here before our flight back to the states and it was PERFECT!! We were treated wonderfully by the lovely staff and the food/drinks were excellent. Thank you for sending us out of Montreal with the most delicious memories!!!

Service was pleasant: somewhere between European-laid-back and American-quick-turnover.

Husband got the set and I got a French onion soup with a main course, and that was just about the perfect portion between the two of us.

Really recommend the French onion soup, but I also just happen to really like this dish.

My family of 4 really enjoyed this restaurant (girls 14 and 11). We had the fish and chips, steak au poivre, Margherita pizza, and Freres burger, all served with fries and salad (except the pizza). We also had the calamari appetizer and really enjoyed that, as well. Excellent service, and delicious food! Highly recommend!

As i remember…. I used to go to Frères de la Côte for Mussels and fries with my sister, and was surprised it had moved to a different location… 8 years ago according to my waitress!

It used to have a wide variety of flavors for mussels, but this time, there were only two. The Marinière was my choice, and I wasn’t disappointed. They were as delicious as I remembered.
Staff was also super friendly, despite being a busy evening.

We stopped in on a whim to see if there was room for 2 at the bar and we were welcomed right in. We ordered off the special menu and that was a real treat. I started with the French onion soup. Excellent!! The burger rustique was probably the best burger I'd ever had. The bacon on it tasted like it was candied with maple syrup. Nice touch! It came with fries and a salad. The bartender was amazing. He made sure you we were content at all times and explained all the meals in detail. Oh...I can't forget the dessert! Poor man's pudding!! Wow... insanely good. It comes with ice cream. My husband had filet mignon cooked at a medium temperature. He was happy as a king. Great experience all around😋

Friendly, efficient service meets good food. Smallish menu that still manages to span a wide range from classics like steak frites to more contemporary poke bowls. I had the horse steak and it was sublime. Kid-friendly menu and staff.

Exemplary place for warm and chilled beverages. Tasty food options, too. We will return.

We had a reservation and we were seated immediately when we arrived. The service was so thorough and our waitress came by numerous times to check in on us. The food also came quickly. The bolognese was absolutely amazing. 10/10 would recommend. The duck fettuccine with mushroom was also amazing.

The food was so delicious and worth coming back for. The service was excellent. The portions are smaller relative to Ontario restaurants but that's why French and Quebecoise are slimmer than their Anglophone counterparts.

French onion soup with beef, poutine, horse steak and poor man's pudding. Will be back!

Lovely French bistro in Old Quebec. Service was good and food was fabulous. I had a caesar salad and Margherita pizza. Yummy. Highly recommend. The bistro also has a large bar.

I like their pizza and carrot soup. We are happy that in busy dinner time they still found table for 4 of us.

A must try! On the way to my seat, a man watched my group walk by and stopped me and said I must try the ribs. I'm not generally a rib guy, but he got it in my head. Consider this me stopping you to tell you try the ribs!

We had a good time even though the restaurant was packed and we had to wait a few minutes on the bar before a table was free. The food was delicious.

Surprisingly good. The restaurant is located in a touristy area of the city, but the fish and chips defied my expectations of a tourist trap.
