The Oxbow Natural Wine Bar & Restaurant

This was a 10 out of 10. Great atmosphere and service. Loved the use of the old building. Food was well presented and amazing flavours. Family style dining. Next time, we need to try one of everything. Vegan options are available.

The food was subpar. The flavours, the textures, and the aroma all intertwined together to create this delicious meal. The chicken was great. It was flavourful, juicy, soft, light and very flavourful. The cabbage was also flavourful and juicy.

As for the customer service, it was also great. The server took the time to explain the food and the wine menu which helped me a lot since they had many wine collections that I was not fully knowledgeable about.

Delicious! The food here is meant to be shared and so we did between 5 people. We enjoyed every bit of the food. From the contrasting flavours to the very timing. I found myself satisfied with every passing dish. Pair your meal with 1/2 off wine on Sundays. Staff are friendly, knowledgeable, accountable and overall, just amazing. Huge shout outs to making Mother’s Day wonderful. Definitely coming back when the patio opens this summer

Lovely, dog-friendly patio with an excellent selection of vegan dishes. Food was flavourful and the meal was paced appropriately. Service was great. Decent selection of alcoholic beverages, however would have enjoyed seeing some mocktails on the menu as well. Overall, 10/10.

Oxbow Natural Wine Bar & Restaurant was great! Recommended to reserve prior to eating here as it does get busy.

My friend and I went here on a Friday night.

Pros:
The servers were delightfully polite and cared for our allergies and gluten-friendly dietary restrictions. The overall vibe of the restaurant was nice.

I ordered the chicken diavolo (which was hot, fresh and juicy after each bite!)

The Arancini was shared and we substituted the risotto for a gluten-free one and it was still amazing!

My friend ordered the tuna tataki and escargots.

We tried the nonalcoholic homemade tonic & soda (allspice, cucumber, lemon) - which we were not too fond of, but we finished it!

We spent about $40-$45 each and it was worth it.

Cons:
No cons so far.

Except parking is a bit hard to find as it is street parking, but luckily we found a great spot right in front of the restaurant.

10/10 would definitely recommend!

Last time I was at Oxbow was probably over a year and a half ago, if not longer. Made a reservation here to come to celebrate my fifth wedding anniversary with my husband and it was so wonderful. I always love the ambiance of the place, the service is A plus and the food was so good. Only call it is I feel the burrata was missing a flaky sea salt or something, but it was still delightful. Loved my white cross mocktail. We also had the arancini, the potatas bravas, the schnitzel, and the carrots. Definitely was a lot of food but we were happy to take it home for leftovers the next day. Can't wait to go back and check out their patio this summer!

Loved it. Shared dishes. Tasty food. Sunday was 50% off bottles of wine. First time. It is on our list to go back.

Service is always wonderful.
Food is thoughtfully curated & atmosphere is cozy & intimate.
Thursday night is half off oysters & Sundays they have wine specials.
Went repeatedly the last few months and it’s been consistently great every time.
Must haves: potatas bravas, tuna tataki, carrots, rotolo & burrata - but everything is so delicious.

Heads up for their hours- as they do close their kitchen an hour before closing time! (Made that mistake of going for late night snack a couple times)

I had the pleasure of dining in this new restaurant shortly after it opened. Great menu with lots of unique options. The atmosphere is warm, comfortable and modern. There's a sommelier on staff, and their servers were polite and helpful.

The show-stopper for me was the bread pudding at the end of the meal—hands down the best I've ever tasted. Just wonderful.

They've really breathed new life into this sleepy neighborhood!

So many good things to say! Our waiter was so nice and polite and knew the menu inside and out down to the ingredients and recipes of the sauces. The schnitzel was as good as in Austria, the pretzel and the triple cooked fries were stand outs for sure. Loved the natural wine selection and enjoyed a half price bottle on sunday evening wine night 🌙. Highly recommend!

Best food in Winnipeg! Kind and knowledgeable staff, with a great selection of natural wines. A gem tucked in South Osbourne. Need to visit 3 or 4 times to work your way through the menu.

I have been wanting to try this place for a long while and finally was able to. Father’s Day and my daughter’s birthday together and this was the perfect place to celebrate. The server Misha was spectacular and made our night very nice. She was knowledgeable about the menu and then curated the order of the food coming out to make the meal progression perfect! We were on the patio and it was very nice. We did peek inside and I would say you can’t go wrong in either place. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly and helpful. The food taste sensations were amazing and the prices very reasonable. Ended with a cappuccino that was perfectly crafted. Thanks to the team there for a wonderful evening!

Great spot. Fantastic wine list and the food is top notch. We had the pork belly and it was just delicious. A definite must if you love the food scene in Winning!

Went here for date night Saturday night! The vibe was really nice. Every dish that we got was incredible! The pretzel, pickerel cheeks, gnocchi, pork schnitzel, and the tomatoes! The waitress provided very good service and she was very friendly.

Oxbow has such a great atmosphere and amazing food and wine parings! I especially like the “off-the-beaten- track” wines to enjoy! A great spot for date night or a fun night with friends!

Great atmosphere. Small yet varied, delicious menu. Server very knowledgeable about menu and dietary needs. As well as wine. Aside from our main server 2 other people interacted with our table, which to me means that staff in the restaurant are interested in the needs of the diners and are a team. Was a welcome experience as this was our first dinner out since October 2020!

Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Food is superb and tastes fantastic. Tons of attention to detail in plating. Cannot beat the price for prix fixe menu.
