Hops, A Northwest Pub

Hops, with its effortlessly gregarious, fun atmosphere and attentive staff is a New Westminster treasure. In the era of the derivative, pretentious and overpriced bar, Hops remains a real pub and the place to go to have a drink (or two) and a great time. Bravo Hops and keep it up!

I'm new to New West and although there are a few watering holes closer to where I live....I'm going to always walk the extra bit to Hops from now on. The kindest staff, and *drum roll*....
They allow dogs!!!

this place doesn't look like much from the outside but i was impressed! great food, awesome service and great atmosphere. couldn’t get enough of the food. we all sampled each other’s plates. definitely try their pickles!

Cheap drinks, friendly staff, awesome place to meet friends.

A group of my friends and I visited the Hops in New West last night during our bar hopping experience in New West. We had the most amazing experience with Jeffrey. He was so genuine and provided us with blankets when he saw we were chilly, he came by and made us all giggle and enjoy our night. Jeffrey provided the best service!

Very nice atmosphere. Great place to grab a drink before heading home on the skytrain. Jeff the bartender is very friendly and makes you feel good. Also very knowledgeable on drinks and stuff and very informative on the stuff. Very fun times cause of the regulars and the bartenders

Amazing service! The bartender who works on Sunday's is so polite and delivered super fast service. Drinks were made well and the prices are very inexpensive. The pub is small but has a homie feel to it, seemed like there were lots of regulars enjoying the bar top as well.
One downfall is the lack of food items, they do have popcorn if you want a snack though.
It was my first time here and it wont be my last! Highly recommend!

Great staff, cool location, nice regulars I met there that love their sports. One guy busted out his acoustic guitar in the patio area, he sounded like eddy vedder from pearl jam, was amazing!!!

Love this pub. Everyone is so great there. I have always had such a good time there and the staff is like family.

Tasty food with easy and convenient location

Amusingly enough it's the best pub in New West! Extremely convenient location, very polite and professional stuff, good selection (and I mean it!) of beers and decent pub fare. The interior is cozy and patio in the summer is very nice. If you want to go to a pub in New West spare yourself a disappointment and go to this one. I can proudly say that I'm a regular here and really enjoying their daily beer specials - especially IPAs ;)

This is a bias review because this is my neighborhood pub. Even though there are a few other pubs around my area. This has the best service, great selection of craft and regular beers. They always have specials (incluing a movie ticket discount). Their food is pretty good, I love their nachos which are packed with cheese in every bite; also try the wings (specially on Thursday when they're half off!).
They have a lovely heated patio, which not many other pubs in the zone have.

Such a great local pub, with that everybody knows your name kinda feeling! Good specials and always love sitting at the bar. Great after work spot!

Great pub. Closes at 11pm on Sunday. Really enjoy the fireplace for groups

The happy hour is nice. Would be nice to have variety on drink menu (like more fruity drinks). Overall great experience and friendly staff

As a craft beer lover, this is one of my favorite places. They regularly switch out their taps so there is always something new to try. Best service in a New West Pub by far and management that is willing to go above and beyond to ensure their customers leave satisfied!

Best Pub in Lower Mainland. With barely enough room to do a summersault from one end of the house to the other, low lighting, and very subdued music: this is THE place to get away from it all. Slink back in your chair, enjoy a beverage (or six), read the paper or chat with a friend... This the best place to get away from it all! It's better than a day at the spa. 12 out of 10 stars! I truely can not recommend this establishment enough.

Amazing bartender, good and quick drinks. I love the atmosphere, its very hole in the wall type bar. I recommend it to anyone looking for good drinks and a fun environment that feels safe as well.

boyfriend and I checked it out cause our movie was full and had to do the show that's an hour later. we found this on my phone literally a few steps away from where we were searching. wanted something that isn't just pasta or sushi lol glad we tried. was cozy, not too much noise and the food was really good. I had a burger and my bf had fish and chips. we were very pleased. definitely will be our go to place now anytime we go to watch a movie. note this is coming from a girl who never goes to pubs, or bars. this place is a god send! lol
