I can't recommend this clinic enough! I took my dog to see doctor John for a TPLO surgery after a cruciate rupture. Her recovery has been absolutely amazing - she was back on her feet the day after surgery. The entire process exceeded all expectations, and you can really tell the staff care about the animals they treat. Highly recommend Dr John and the team at Caledon mountain. Thank you for giving our girl her mobility back in her golden years! 🐾

My dog recently had a TPLO surgery 8 weeks ago and I cannot say enough great things about all the lovely people that work here. After looking around at other clinics for this surgery we decided on Caledon Mountain since they are the experts. They thoroughly explained the whole process and surgery and provided a package that covered all subsequent visits and medications needed. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly and really do care about their furry patients. They called the morning after her surgery just to check on her. I highly recommend this clinic. I am forever greatful for them helping my dog bounce back to her old self.

We have taken our dog Lexi to this veterinary for many years. There are a few different drs here and all of them are very good. Even the other staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. Lexi was 13 and getting to the end of her life. She had arthritis and other issues. We started her on pain pills and had to add more until she was comfortable. Dr Rebecca often called to see how Lexi was doing. On the day Lexi took a turn for the worst we drove to the vets and had her euthanized. The staff were amazing and so supportive. I can’t say enough how wonderful they all are. I have also found their prices to be much more reasonable than other places.
I have always recommended them and if we get another pet will definitely go back there. In a world where people take advantage of our love for our pets, it is a breath of fresh air to come to Caledon Mountain veterans hospital! You too will find comfort here

This clinic made a world of a difference for us! We came to CMVH through a referral and reading all the positive words about them.

We have a 14.5 year old teacup yorkie who is anxious at the vet especially anything to do with around his face or front legs.

We had a traumatic experience at his former vet, a series of events that resulted in a several nights stay in oxygen and the only option we were given was he was succumbing to his health issues and we would have to put him down or he would die.

Long story short, that clinic (North Point Veterinary Hospital) is under investigation with the college and our dog was not in this instance succumbing to his condition but was negatively responding to a number of mistakes made in his care.

So given the history we were extremely nervous and cautious going to see Dr. Marcus and allowing the RVT's to work with Kahlua. But we were BLOWN AWAY by the level of care and professionalism, compassion and honesty they display each time we are there.

This trauma happened in March 2023 and it is now August 2023 and our little old guy is still enjoying a good quality of life in part thanks to the professionals at CMVH!

At our old vet, they refused to draw blood without sedation, would only attempt on his front leg, left multiple puncture wounds and surveillance showed severe stress was caused.

When we went to CMHV they allowed us to remain in the room, two amazing techs held him, used a cone to help calm his fear, and knowing professional techniques for working with animals with high anxiety, drew blood with the tiniest needle in the most gentle manner without resistance from his back leg and he hardly noticed, he was not sedated and no force was needed.

It is amazing how animals respond to how they are treated and you could tell right away how much this team knows about how to work with animals and loves their job!

Dr. Marcus is honest, kind and very knowledgeable! He helps us have realistic expectations and always tries his absolute best to troubleshoot without pushing anything unnecessary taking into account Kahlua's age and medical history. We fully trust his recommendations and he takes the time to explain everything.

Our former vet tried to tell us their cardiologist advises against liquid medications which was the easiest method to give considering our dogs picky eating and mouth resistance they suggested chewable medications which were almost $400 a month. But in speaking to the cardiologist they properly and truthfully explained that since pure pill form was not available in a low enough dose for our 5lb yorkie, regardless liquid or chewable was a compound and had equal efficacy. So we were very apprehensive about medications and cost when we got to CMHV, but their system is amazing! The medications are provided in easy dispense bottles, you are given plenty of syringes as needed and they respond promptly to emails or you can make medication requests online, and it only takes a few days. The cost is very affordable and we don't have to feel we are giving our fur baby sub optimal care, they were honest and did not try to sell us very expensive medication options for profit. All his medications are under $60 a month.

Everyone at the clinic from front desk to Doctors at CMHV are wonderful and we feel safe, comfortable and in good hands there! We highly recommend "pawrents" to go to Dr. Marcus!

Thank you for the care you provide and your hard work CMHV!

This place is a hidden gem. All the staff deserve an award for their outstanding commitment to the animals and for great customer service. When my cat fractured his arm from jumping the balcony, they were the only veterinarians who cared to get us in for surgery and charge an amazing price compared to every single vet we called. Not only was the price great and they were able to take us in the very next day but the surgery went awesome and we are now in the 3rd week of recovery. Koodos to Dr.John and all the staff at this hospital.

My sweet little three-legged dog was only a year old when Dr. John performed a corrective osteotomy on the remaining leg on her right side to fix a severe angular limb deformity. I can't believe the difference when I look at her now compared to old photos with her twisted leg when I was wondering if she would ever be able to live a normal life. She recovered so beautifully and I'm so happy to have found a vet that I could trust with her fragile care. I'm forever grateful for the time and skill he put into her case so that she can enjoy many active years ahead. Phoebe, the fastest dog at the dog park says thank you so much!

This place is amazing, my dog has been misdiagnosis twice at my local vet even though I told them what I suspected the injury was, why, got x-rays, etc. I could see in the x-rays the issue I told them about but went to my vet mainly for pain meds until I could get her here. There are long wait times for a reason. The price is... well... I'm glad I have good pet insurance but the service and expertise is why it costs what it does.

They follow up with me for several days, answer all my questions, and give great suggestions for the issues I have. I try my best and go out of my way to bring my dog here.

We just had our dog Winter at Caledon for TPLO surgery and we can’t say enough good things about this vet. They treated us and Winter so well, answered every question we had, and did a terrific job with her surgery. She is recovering well and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them for anyone facing this injury with their dog.

Our shepherd lab mix had TPLO surgery with Dr Rabs in November and we had a great experience with both Dr Rabs and the whole clinic. I found them very thorough in explaining everything, and made the process very simple, organized and seamless. The techs and office staff were all great during our visits and phone calls asking questions and they ensured to follow up on how our dog was doing a few times after surgery. I felt like our dog was in such good hands the entire time which was a huge comfort for us. He has completed his follow up and is doing very well past recovery. Thank you!

We first started going here 14 years ago when our Kelpie needed knee surgery. Dr. John and the rest of the staff were amazing and our Jersey Girl recovered quickly, a year later her other knee went and again Dr. John and the staff were incredible. Jersey ended up with severe arthritis in an elbow and thanks to the fantastic care she received at Caledon Mountain her last years were as pain free as any senior dog could hope for. We also took one of our cats who had a chronic medical issue for several years and received wonderful care from Dr Rebecca. We now bring our hounds here and they receive the same amazing care from the team of Vets and staff that our late Jersey did.

We drove from out of town to bring our lab here to get a laparoscopic spay. None of our local vets offered a spay laparoscopically and once we researched our options, we couldn't imagine doing it any other way. The procedure went well, our dog recovered quickly and the clinic has always been very responsive via phone or email. I would recommend this clinic and if we lived closer I think they would be our go-to.

My family can't say enough good things about this place from Dr John to the staff. Evo our dog just had a TPLO surgery 2 days ago, and she is doing amazing. We wish they were in Port credit Mississauga Ontario but since they're not it's worth the drive there, they are great veterinarian for your animals. Thanks for everything you have done for Evo. Paul and Ida 😊

Professional and courteous staff. Always smiling. Cannot say enough good things. Dr. Paula was excellent and would recommend her. Very knowledgeable and explains everything. My French bulldog had a swollen gland removed from her neck and Dr. Paula did a magnificent job. Thanks!

The Dr's and staff are exceptional at Caledon mountain vet. They really care about animals a lot and it shows big time. My dog jack broke his leg and after having a negative experience with another vet, I was referred here by a family member. The way I see it, Caledon mountain vet saved his life (jack gives you guys 6 stars by the way). The building and location are great - there is a sort of "old country" vibe to the place and its very quiet and tucked away even though it's off the highway. Bring your animals here, you won't regret it

We cannot thank Dr. John and his dedicated team enough for the outstanding care they provided our little 4 month old pup, Finn. Due to an unfortunate accident, Finn broke all 4 toes in his front paw. Dr. John and his team squeezed Finn into their busy schedule and performed emergency surgery within 24 hours of our call. 2 weeks post op, and the outcome has been incredible! Aside from the pins in place, you would never know little Finn had broken anything! Dr. John and his team are professional, kind and compassionate. They were so reassuring to us worried parents, that Finn would be ok and make a full recovery! This is the only clinic to take your furry family members to receive the absolute BEST in veterinary care! Thank you Dr. John and team! YOU ARE ALL AMAZING!

I highly recommend Caledon Mountain vet hospital. My 7 year old toy poodle Oliver needed TPLO and luxating patella surgery on the same knee and I was very nervous when searching for a surgeon. Dr. John took the time to explain what Oliver’s issues were and gave me the confidence that he was in good hands. I found the cost of the surgery was reasonable. Olivers surgery went well as did his recovery. He is back to his normal self and it is such a relief that he is no longer in pain. Thank you very much for taking great care of my fur baby.

When our wee one needed surgery it was stressful to say the least, luckily every single smile from the moment we walked in the door at Caledon Mountain Veterinary put us more and more at ease. They take great efforts to make the experience less stressful for our smallest family members, to communicate, and to accommodate the whole slew of concerns and questions that were thrown at them. Brilliant, compassionate and wonderful individuals here!

Cannot recommend Caledon Mountain enough! Our dog had a THR performed by Dr.John 10 weeks ago and is doing amazing. The surgery couldn't have gone better. The decision was not easy for us and Dr.John was more than happy to take the time to answer all of our questions after the consultation. The first week of recovery I was a bit of a wreck to say the least, and the staff were great about reassuring any worries I was having. It's obvious that they truly put the animals best interest first and always take an empathetic approach. Dr. John has been incredibly kind throughout the entire process from the initial consultation and throughout her recovery.
