West River Camping

We spent Labour Day weekend here and it was fabulous.

Very clean and quiet! The sites are fairly large and most have some trees between them, allowing for a feeling of privacy.

The grounds are well kept and I appreciated the solar, sensor lights along the road when I was walking the dogs at night.

We rented the hot tub and it was a great experience as well.

It is close to Alma and Fundy for those amenities.

On Sunday night they had a musician play and that was a lot of fun too.

We plan to come back and stay again.

Very beautiful and welcoming campground. Peaceful place. And close to Alma, and Cape enrage. Cabins are clean and comfortable and beautiful. It's a gated campground, so that's a great plus. And there's a quiet after 11pm rule which is very good because other places don't have half of what they offer at this campground.

Always a pleasure staying here! Staff are super helpful and accommodating. We had rented the wood fire hot tubs and had trouble getting it hot. The staff were quick to help lend a hand. The cabins have everything that you could really need for amenities including coffee and water which was a nice touch! Definitely the best place to stay in near Alma and affordable! Will definitely be back soon! :)

Our friend recommended this campground as we were visiting the Bay of Fundy area... what a great suggestion! We stayed for 3 nights ( camper) and enjoyed every moment. Large clean sites complete with fire pits, personal touches all over. Well situated close to Fundy National Park and other attractions. Nice bathrooms and showers. We’ll definitely be back

My boyfriend and I stayed at West River Camping last weekend and I have to say it is one of the NICEST campgrounds I have ever stayed at (& I’ve stayed at my fair share over the years). This was our first time visiting Fundy area, and the campground is in the perfect location. It’s a short drive to Alma where there is a general store, gift shops and many restaurants. It is also super close to Hopewell Rocks. We were tent camping this time around, but may have to check out the “Jacob Boy” boat rental next year ;) If you’re going to the Fundy area, I definitely recommend booking this campground. The owners are very friendly, accommodating and attentive to their campground. It is so well kept and still so new- definitely a gem in the area! :)

We stayed for 3 nights last week and it was fantastic. Owners are friendly and helpful. Park is very clean and the hot tub was pretty sweet! Best stay we had on our honeymoon! Dogs are welcome they just need to be on a leash. The play ground looked like fun although we don't have kids so we didn't use it. There is a beach 5 min down the road which was pretty empty while we were there. Plus it's 10 min to the Fundy Park with miles of trails to explore. Will be back!

We stayed in a lower dome and had the most relaxing time. The staff was wonderful and helpful. We had a feeling of complete seclusion despite being close to the road, office, and another site. Good for any weather. Highly recommend, better than any hotel!

Great stay in a quiet little campground. We stayed in the Lower Dome. It has a great private campsite feel to it, and the wood fired hot tub made the experience special. Very small issue - the shower head in the in unit shower couldn’t be pointed down so it was difficult to use a bit (but there are other showers of course). The public washrooms were clean and in good working order although just a tad chill in the morning (stayed in September). The little garden at the entrance had some very entertaining gnomes in it. All in all this was a great experience, and an amazing way to stay in the Fundy area. Spent our days hiking and paddling in Fundy NP just down the road and our evenings at the campfire. Just loved it!

Great and very unique campground with a lot of thoughtful details, such as solar powered motion sensor lights. We had our teardrop camper but there were cabins scattered throughout as well. Very friendly owners who even hired a talented local musician to play on one of the nights we were there. We would recommend this campground!

We stayed in the raised dome for 2 nights. Our stay was excellent! Such a relaxing and charming stay. The area in and around the dome is very clean. The wood fired hottub is easy to use, heated to temperature quickly and is very private. The dome does not have AC but honestly does not need it. The owners were incredible -- I stopped in to ask where the closest store is as Id forgotten butter, she gave me some from their own kitchen!! Just about a 10 minute drive to fundy national park, where there are lots of fun activities for people of all ages. Overall the stay was lovely and we will certainly be back. I cannot overstate how much we recommend these domes to any couple looking for a refreshing get away.

Very nice camping! It's more suitable for families with kids. Pets are allowed too. Clean bathrooms, amazing nature, enjoyed our stay and definitely would come back again!

Beautiful campground not too far from Hopewell rocks. Spotless sites, bathroom, showers. We left sooner than expected because of Fiona and the owner were very agreeable. Our in-laws upgraded to a cabin for the night. We definitely recommend staying there.

Fantastic site, the website description is exactly true! The staff is friendly, the other campers were quiet and respectful and the location is perfect for relaxing after a long walk on the beach at the Bay of Fundy. I will be back!

Our 2 night stay was amazing!!! The 12 foot up in air private dome was absolutely amazing!! The woodfire hot tubs were especially unique..
We loved that we were in a corner with total privacy...

From the moment you enter the property, it’s obvious the folks at West River Camping have put a ton of thought into ‘guest experience’. The clean, cheery, and peaceful campground is a sign of what to expect when you walk into the raised dome. They really have thought of everything…from the easy-to-handle firewood bundles to the convenient (and well-stocked) cook/BBQ station to the mint patties on your pillow! The dome was a perfect weekend destination, just minutes from Kelly’s Bake Shop sticky buns, Holy Whale beer, Collins Lobster Shop seafood, and of course, Fundy National Park. And let’s not forget the super relaxing wood-fired hot tub! Thanks for a fantastic getaway – we will definitely be back. 🌲🦞 🌊 🍻 😍

My wife and I were travelling through the area where I had booked a campsite close to the washrooms and shower house. When we arrive it was mentioned to me that the new “glamming” tent was available. I took the opportunity and was very impressed with the setup. It was private with an outdoor kitchenette and shower. Next to site was a wood fired hot USB which I booked for and evening. It was a great experience and would love to return.

Campground was very well laid out and was super clean. Sites were big and nice grass areas at the back sites. Great playground for kids. Very nice cabins to rent.

Wonderful campground with very friendly staff! We loved staying in their beautiful travel trailer. Our favourite part was the beautiful views of the stars at night. We will return again for sure.

Booked this place last minute. What a little treasure trove! We just booked a tent/RV site number 18. Wifi was fast, bathrooms were clean and site/shared areas were spotless. This is a perfect location to explore the bay of fundy. The wood fired hot tubs and unique sleeping accommodations looked amazing. We’d love to try this out next time.
