Eastern path is steeper and could use some more maintenance but worth the view for sure.

Copley Ridge “Lantzville lookout loop” hike. Wonderful views from the lookout. Go on a clear day for the best experience.

Its NOT the Lantzville loop. ITS CALLED COPLEY RIDGE RECREATION AREA. Only newbies and wannabes call it lantzville loop. Some of us have been hiking it for 5 generations... it was George Copley's land...(my great grandfather) The town of lantzville commemorated and dedicated as such back in the 80's. I was at the ceremony. So, please, stop disrespecting the pioneers and founders of the area. Stop referring to as anything other than Copley Ridge.

This is a great quick-hit hike that gets the heart rate going, and has some pretty great views from the top. Well marked and clear trail, and very accessible. There are three steep sections that really get the blood pumping, and you'll hit the first climb after a short walk in from the road.

This isn't something to tackle if you're looking for a walk in the park; it's steep and pretty intense - but it's short. I'm pretty out-of-shape, and I am usually at the summit within 40-45 minutes (with a dog who likes to sniff pretty much every tree in the area).

Generally, this isn't a super-packed trail; I'll usually run into one or two people, but it's not uncommon to see ~5 groups or solo hikers.

Note for people with dogs: this isn't an off-leash park. The trails are tight and twisty, and there really isn't a lot of space to get off the trail for those of us with highly reactive, anxious dogs that walk ON LEASH (yes, yes, your dog is wonderfully well-behaved, and exceedingly friendly. I'm not worried about YOUR dog). Or for those weirdos that just don't like dogs. Be considerate.
