Maple Mountain Parking

Maple Mountain mtb trails are just one of many stellar riding locations in the area. The local riding club does amazing work and the trails are fun and challenging for all riding levels.

Starting point for many nice hike and especially downhill bike lanes

A truly awesome mountain that is a hikers and mountain bikers dream. The mountain bike trails on Maple Mountain are becoming renowned across BC and even the Pacific Northwest as a must do ride. Trails like Upper and Lower Maple Syrup as well as Tony's Arbutus trail challenge even the most seasoned all mountain and enduro riders.

The climbing trail is a treat snaking over 8k to the summit of the mountain. It provides trail users a means to hike to the top or for riders to access the downhill trail options. Enjoy the bridges and well thought out routes that encompass the beauty of the mountain and forest.

From the summit views across to Cowichan Bay and the south Gulf Islands are enjoyed and off of Tony's Arbutus trail look north to Cowichan, Chemainus and the islands of Salt Spring, Penalakut and Thetis.

Good amount of parking available right next to the entrance to Maple Mountain. Maple Mountain is a beautiful mountain, and the trails are great for biking, running, or hiking. There are so many trails to explore. Unbeknownst to a lot of people, there is a lake at the top of the mountain which is really nice. Lots of excellent views exist all over the mountain! I recommend checking it out!

First time stopping at this trail. Just did a small walk but it was great for our short legged buddy

Fantastic mountain biking spot. Top section of new Phlohem trail is fantastic, big berm flow trail. Climb up the mountain is worth all the downhill trail riding. Mix of XC and technical downhill here. Ample parking, washrooms.

I went up when they were still clearing the wind damage from Decembers in may I had to take a cross cross wacky path to get to the top, a few km longer but great views all the way up

Imfamous trail for mountain biking, horse back riding n hiking. Thoroughly enjoy trail up mountain and to Crofton Lake

One of the best if not the best mountain bike climbs in bc, by following the Xylem trail.

Great hiking and a few, but good mountain bike trails (mainly Blue in my estimation) that are well maintained by locals. Popular, as the car park fills quickly at times.

Love this mountain! Great trails with more being added. Restroom at the bottom now. Good for running, hiking, and biking. Numerous access points as well

Undulating climbing non-gravel Trail. Easy if you're ok with some incline. Signage is not clear once on the trail system. Outdoor pit toilet in parking lot. Well used trails.

Rode Richards trail on the other side of the road. It was a nice change from climbing the mountain.

This is an awesome place for a great Mountain Bike ride. One of the better climbing trails on the Island.

It was about a 3 hour hike to the power station at the top and back down again. Good workout and beautiful view.
