The Brass Bell Pub

A buddy of mine introduced me to this place a few months back and my wife and I decided to pop in today. Let me tell you were we ever glad we did. The food was amazing as you can tell by the picture, the Caesar, made by Linda, was possibly the best I’ve ever had, and speaking of Linda, she was awesome, friendly and personable. Lastly was the price, I’m still in shock that in today’s economy I can get a great satisfying meal for 12 dollars. We will definitely be coming more often. Good job!!

What an amazing friendly atmosphere! Beautiful small town pub. The servers and cook deserve accolade’s for always being friendly and accommodating. Not to mention it’s by far the most affordable restaurant on the island. Everyone has such infectious energy, It’s a highly recommended establishment!!

Brilliant find! We are from UK and travelling around in an RV. Stumbled upon this friendly gem of a pub! Amazing wings and burger. Staff and locals so friendly! Go to this pub if you are in the area!

The Brass Bell burger is great! Big patty, bacon, mushrooms, cheddar cheese! Nice char on the patty too. The amount of fries or onion rings will satisfy anyone! The waitress was friendly and attentive. I enjoy pubs with a very casual atmosphere. We’ll be back!

Croftons secret little treasure. Sunday night - make sure you get here early because the Yorkshire pudding is truly the best and there will be a wait! Linda is an amazing waitress and we always have an amazing time here.

My friend had been here before and raved about the wonderful handmade burgers and so today on our way back to Victoria we stopped in to see if her great experience would be repeated.
We both had The Brass Bell burgers - mine with half salad/half fries, and hers with today’s soup. Both were excellent, perfectly cooked and presented. The server was hustling at lunch today, doing all the bartending, taking orders, delivering orders, as well as bussing tables after patrons had left. She said the owner was cooking today. What a duo!

It looks like the new owner hasn’t claimed their google listing so we’ll confirm the details and make an update as necessary.

Love going to the Bell and being greeted by Linda and/or Rachel like we are daily regulars (maybe monthly). Food is always good and the beer is cold👍🏻

Had a great time, we felt at home there, had a relaxing time and a nice dinner. Some how the people there made you feel like family.

May I suggest the beef dip, the muscles, the hamburgers and the stuffed mushrooms. All were enjoyable. The Brass Bell offers a tasty menu, a tidy and clean environment and fabulous service. Plan your visit for the meat draw on Sunday’s. I won! Thank-you.

Very quick and friendly service. Tried the one piece fish and chips, and it was an excellent, tasty serving for under $10. Seems the menu has changed since my last visit. Will definitely try eating here again.

I had a very good experience. It's a pub, not fine dining! The wait staff are fast, efficient, and very pleasant. It's a very eclectic crowd which I enjoyed. Mostly locals as It's a small town watering hole. I found them all very warm and welcoming. And they have fabulous pool tables! Just a note, they could use a sign or 2 to tell you how to get into the pub. It's kind of a funky building. You gotta go around back and up some stairs. I don't know how user-friendly it is for serious disabilities, but Hey, it is obviously well known by the locals. That is their primary clientele. So there could be another entrance except around back. For us visitors? Lolol 😁

A great Plc ..Linda the best server ever quick and to the point. All the staff are friendly and and make the best drinks .kitchen is clean food is always fresh. Prices are very good. .JandJ

Had a great burger. the soup was good with loads of chunks of chicken, the club houses were large but only had processed turkey instead of roasted turkey. They put the color light on ice for my dad. I had fun playing keno during lunch. Great prices.

Great neighborhood pub. The staff is friendly and always welcoming. Pub food and games are always appreciated. Karaoke, Music Bingo and pool keep us having fun. Best drink prices in the Cowichan Valley. Nice patio for sunny days and cozy ambiance inside.

Just happened to stop on Tuesday wing night, had the teri-hot Wings. So delicious, the servers were keeping the drinks full, and very personable. You will want to stop if you like pub food!

I have frequented the brass bell many of times, and I continue to go back because the food is exceptional. The staff are also excellent: especially Rachel the owner, she’s sweet, and as our server today she went way above and beyond for myself and my friend Rosebud.
Have to add: the prices are seriously amazing considering the amount of food you get for your dollar as well.

Great food at a reasonable price- got the burger special with fresh tasty salad for $12!! Can’t beat that plus the ocean view is so relaxing - all that plus a soft, cool breeze sitting on the patio - ahhh, we do live in paradise!!

I live 72.8km from here but I make plans to go here regularly on my motorbike. Best wings, best burgers and best prices and it helps support an island family who has had a really tough go. Do yourself and them a favour and stop here.

Great Pub. Had the crab cakes & they melt in your mouth. Food was excellent and pricing is very reasonable
