J&A Chinese Restaurant

Have been buying take out from J&A for years. Love it! They are a small restaurant so they do get overwhelmed with orders and sometimes long waits and wrong orders happen. The overall experience is worth the little inconveniences. Most of the people who are giving poor ratings sound like they shouldn't be allowed outside or play with others. Okotoks is the most entitled little city I've ever lived in. Lol.

Amazing food. Heard about them from a friend and thought would try and must say I am picky but this food is so good. The quantity of food you get is great too. Will order again!

The food & service was great. The food portions are very generous. The atmosphere is lacking somewhat. There are some great aquariums, more could be done to enhance the dining experience in terms of atmosphere.

Friendly, didn’t wait long for food at all! Fresh, no msg, not ultra salty, flavoured just right. The ginger beef was perfect and not overdone, the noodles and rice were so fresh! The dough for the chicken balls were great too! The portions were huge! We got two single combos and four egg rolls and shared it between four people. Overall 6/5!

I’m not usually one to leave a review. But wow!!! We had heard mixed reviews on ALL of the Chinese food places in Okotoks and took a chance on J & A. Could. Not. Be. More. Happy.
It was fresh. Flavourful. Tasty. Hot. And delivered in a very timely manner. Had a great little family dinner. Thank you. We will be back :)

Fantastic food and great value for money. All the items we ordered were hot, fresh and big portions. Try the pepper beef - delicious! We'll be back.

Had family visiting from Toronto recently and they were extremely impressed with the quality and flavour of takeout dishes we ordered, especially the fried rice and ribs.

AMAAAAZZZIIINNNGGGG LUNCH TODAY! Flavourful chow mein, with perfectly cooked noodles! Crispy& delicious chicken balls. And SUPER TENDER ginger beef cooked in a beautiful sauce! 10/10 will eat here again. 5 well deserved stars from me! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Moved to Okotoks last week and was craving Chinese for dinner. Chose J&A based on their Google reviews and was blown away. By far the best Chinese food w have had in years and we have been to plenty of different restaurants back home! This is definitely going to become our go-to Chinese restaurant. The ginger beef was amazing and the chicken balls were fantastic.

Always delicious, fresh food. It is VERY popular and they seem to only cook one or two orders at a time so you will have to wait a bit. Plan ahead and call in the afternoon to book your dinner pick up time slot.

Ordered combo for 1. It was the best Chinese food I've had. Huge portions.

I have only gotten take out for J & A but it was delicious and the service was fantastic. They were very polite and helpful while ordering on the phone and the food was hot when we picked it up. They had quite a few vegetarian options which is not easy to find at other Chinese restaurants in the area.
Their Egg Foo Yung was the best I’ve ever had.

I wish that they would use more environmentally friendly take out containers though. In 2019, we shouldn’t still be using styrofoam!

Small mom and pop restaurant, food was very good, portions were sizeable, I dined in and had a great experience. Great work to the staff! Very pleasant!

Amazing food,great flavor and cooked correctly. I normally cant eat Chinese food do to MSG overload and I get killer migraines, but J&A I had to issues. Definitely me and my wife will order again.

Possibly the best Chinese food in southern Alberta. We love the place and have never had a complaint.
