Heartland Cafe & Restaurant

Food was amazing, drink special are a must try and the atmosphere was pleasant. It was so relaxing not being crowded in a small crapped old house. The old church the restaurant is in allows for a more relaxing environment. Enjoyed the food and was able to have a conversation. You must try the tagliatelle pasta, it was amazing.

The dinner was exquisite! The service was impeccable and polite. The flavours were outstanding. I had a wonderful time at the heartland cafe! I haven't been there since I was a kid (probably around 2007).
The menu was delightfully curated, though a little bit limited. I would give the whole experience a 9/10.

A really cute cafe with all the charm! Atmosphere was lovely. Cafe was converted from an old church. The history is written on their menu/placemats. We ordered eggs Benedict and the pork tacos. Highly recommend. Delicious. Will definitely stop here again next time we’re in Okotoks⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Amazing restaurant in downtown Okotoks! This is a must-visit if you are looking for a nicer meal out. The Heartland is in an old church building and has beautiful unique decor. Expect to pay a bit more for your meal but it's worth it for the experience. Delicious cocktails and pasta!

Went to the Valentines Day dinner and everything was excellent. Customer service was great; staff was knowledgeable and nice. Food was great. A bit pricey but definitely worth it.

Such a pleasant surprise as soon as we walked through the Heartland doors -- the vibe is incredible! We were quite impressed with the food which was very flavourful. Our waitress was also really sweet and knowledgeable. We asked if we could take a dessert to-go as we wanted to try it but, unfortunately, didn't have any room in our bellies. The chef said they wouldn't allow that which was understandable. It just showed us that they take great pride in their food preparation and presentation. We'll just need to come back and try it! Highly recommend :)

Heartland Cafe is a local gem that needs to be checked out. Lunches get busy, because it’s such a tremendous place to visit. Ambiance, charm, food, drinks, and wine. It’s all good. My wife and I were out for a quiet last minute dinner tonight, and once again, glad we came here. Highly recommend you make a reservation, and enjoy.

Stepping into this gem of a restaurant always promises an exceptional experience. It's undeniably one of my favorites, and for good reason. The steaks are nothing short of perfection, seared and seasoned to tantalize the palate in every bite. But it's not just the steaks that shine here—every dish on the menu is crafted with the same dedication and finesse. The quality of the ingredients is evident, and the meticulous attention to detail from the kitchen to the table doesn't go unnoticed. Whether it's a special occasion or just a night out for some culinary excellence, this place never fails to impress.

Our server, Allison, was fantastic. Personable, knowledgeable, attentive - she was an absolute delight. The food was superb. Fresh, attention to detail, beautiful presentations, generous portions. Even the fussy teenager with us cleaned her plate and is still talking about the Creme Brulee. The surroundings were old world comfort, welcoming and relaxing. And the butter! The homemade parsley oil was a new experience so very much appreciated. Thank you for the total experience.

Food, atmosphere and service was amazing! We had a group of 10 and the service was great. The background music had great ambiance but allowed us to chat without yelling to each other. Great experience overall. Our waitress, Allison, was super sweet.

Hidden gem! I was there for business and needed a quick lunch and was pleasantly surprised with this restaurant. The decor is unique and the food is delicious. Service is amazing. I ordered the soup of the day and the Thai Salad, the size is quite generous and to top it off I went with a dessert and a a coffee! Would definitely go back!

I’ve lived in Okotoks for years and have never been to Heartland. Well, my mistake because I don’t think I’ve ever had a more delicious meal. I had the Seafood Linguine (one of the specials) and it was spectacular! The Crème Brûlée was amazing. The atmosphere is so cozy and the Christmas decor made it even better.
Thank you for a wonderful evening. Can’t wait to return!

Easily one of our favourite dinner spots. Upscale but affordable. The food is on par with the best we’ve ever had and the service has always been outstanding. Cool little cafe vibes but you wouldn’t think such quality would come from such an unassuming location. Can’t recommend it highly enough.

We had a party of 10 and our server, Allison, was awesome! The food was all very good quality, no one had a bad meal. My lamb was tender and very tasty. This was our second time here and both times we were very pleased. We will be back!

Such a great place for a date night great atmosphere and exceptional people. We have been super busy the last little bit and have missed out going to heartland for almost a year. We went back the other night and the servers still remembered us and we had a good visit! The drinks are excellent. The Pecan Chicken is one of Cassie’s favourite dishes. Matt tried the lamb this time and it was excellent!

We found this place accidentally and fell in love with it. Fantastic atmosphere and even better food :) Definitely one of the Okotoks' must-have hidden gems

We have been to Heartland Cafe many times and had Kitty as our server. She is fantastic and charismatic. The food is pricey but everything we have had is amazing. Great for a date night or a special lunch. Pasta is made in house and is delicious. Love the atmosphere and service.
