The server was extremely accommodating for our menu change requests. We liked the quiet and cave like atmosphere of the inside dining room. And the food was excellent. We had the salmon filet and the pâté chinois.

We had the pulled pork poutine, a hamburger, and French onion soup with a Caeser salad. It was all delicious. Not fast food, but we enjoyed our wait time with people watching.

I really enjoyed my time at Le Repaire! Our server, who goes by Jack was a wonderful host to us and we absolutely adored the food. The right portions. The right flavors and the staff kept the wine coming. We even stayed after close and our hosts were extremely gracious even though we know we were keeping them. The food is likely what you can find around Old Quebec, but the atmosphere and for our first meal in the area, it certainly impressed all at out table.

Fun little place on the steps down in the old city. Proprietor and server were friendly and engaging. Food was excellent. (Good luck on Wednesday meeting!) Outside patio made for fun people watching. Definite recommend.

$$.

Food: 5/5. Food was phenomenal! We had the Tuna Tataki, Calamari, Escargots, Duck Confit Poutine, and the Imperial Duck Rolls. The menu is definitely not student friendly, but nonetheless worth the try. The duck was extremely savoury and cooked perfectly. Honestly never had duck before, but this was probably the best place if any to have really good duck. The escargots were adorned with simple flavours to accompany it, some garlic butter and herbs was all you needed to melt in your mouth. The tuna tataki was delicious. There's only a few places that I've enjoyed tuna tataki, and this place did it extremely well. We also tried a beer that a server recommended. "Boréal Rousse". I'm not much of a beer drinker but the flavours in that beer were outstanding. It was a really good amber ale.

Ambience: 5/5. Music was great, classy jazz tunes in the background, not too loud so it makes for a beautiful place to have a few drinks and converse. On top of that, we had a beautiful view of the small town if you sit by the patio. The overall look of the restaurant is small, contemporary, but elegant.

Service: 5/5. The service goes hand in hand with the ambience and vibe we felt being there. We were politely greeted by a hostess, and we were visited by a few servers always making sure we were doing okay, even cracked a few jokes and made some connections. It was a lot of fun. Food came hot and fresh when it was ready, drinks came right away. The server also made really great recommendations from the menu, everything that was recommended was delicious. Thank you so much for the great experience!

Great place with good options on the menu. We went as a family of four with two kids and had options for everyone one. My wife had the filet mignon and it was incredible with warmed Brie on top. I had the wild game pie and it was delicious with a flaky and tasty crust. The kids enjoyed their meals of poutine , French onion soup and pizza. The house lager was a smooth refreshing beer.
The owner is very involved and has a great staff.

Food was excellent and servers (including the manager) were friendly and attentive. We had a fixed price menu, 2 apps, 2 entres, a bottle of wine, and 2 desserts with coffee came to $124. We were allowed to eat with our dog at the table outside.

Stopped in just for a drink and a rest after a lot of walking. Immediately brought water seeing we were in need. Beer was very cold on a hot day.
Even though we were not eating, staff was attentive and professional. Excellent view of the street below.

Definitely did not run into the same problems as some of the other reviews. Service was prompt and friendly. I would recommend the beer flight (especially whatever the third one is) and the duck poutine.

Really cool location at the stars. Great food and service - also dog friendly terrace! Travelling with dogs can be challenging, but not here. Try the duck sallad!

Excellent food in a classic Quebec City atmosphere. In the heart of the Petit Champlain walking district with many cute shops.
