The teller kept chatting with a customer about personal matters and as a result ihas to wait for over 20 minutes. The teller would not even acknowledge my presence. This has been the worst experience I've had at a bank. Also, why was there only one teller available? Are things really that slow at this bank?

While my mother was sick in the hospital, I was required to responsibility of her finances. However, the staff was rude, disrespectful and didn't accept an official Ontario Power of Attorney. They said property did not include finances, and that we required a different PoA for finances (which is completely wrong). Instead, they had their own PoA form. In this case, we were denied access to an account that the owner was physically unable to access, and they illegally provided access to the account to a beneficiary without the owner passing away. Just stick to the bigger banks, and avoid this headache.
