As a participant in the Princess Margaret Run to Conquer Cancer, I had the privilege of experiencing the Varsity Centre at the University of Toronto. This venue proved to be an excellent choice for the event, providing a well-maintained field and track that met the needs of both runners and supporting booths.

One of the standout features of the Varsity Centre was its ability to accommodate all of the runners and booths present at the event. The spacious field offered ample room for participants to gather, warm up, and prepare for the run. The track itself was well-maintained, providing a smooth surface for runners to navigate as they pushed themselves towards their fundraising goals.

Clean and accessible washrooms are always appreciated during a busy event, and the Varsity Centre delivered on this front. The washroom facilities were well-maintained and kept clean throughout the event, reflecting the organizers' attention to detail and ensuring the comfort of all participants.

The location of the Varsity Centre is conveniently situated beside the subway, allowing for easy accessibility for participants and visitors alike. It's highly recommended to take the TTC (Toronto Transit Commission) when visiting the venue, as it eliminates the hassle of finding parking and provides a convenient and eco-friendly transportation option.

For those in need of a caffeine boost or a quick bite to eat, there are Starbucks and Tim Hortons nearby, offering a range of beverage and snack options. This adds to the convenience of the location, providing participants and spectators with the opportunity to refuel before or after the event.

Additionally, the Varsity Centre offers a nice view of the iconic CN Tower. This picturesque backdrop adds to the overall ambiance of the venue and creates a memorable setting for the event.

Overall, the Varsity Centre at the University of Toronto is a well-maintained field and track that serves as an ideal location for events such as the Princess Margaret Run to Conquer Cancer. Its ability to accommodate large numbers of participants and booths, along with clean washroom facilities, ensures a comfortable and enjoyable experience. With its proximity to the subway, nearby coffee shops, and a view of the CN Tower, it provides both convenience and aesthetics.

Huge soccer play area and running track. Looks good from outside. This seems to be a special privilege for the university of Toronto students. It was locked so couldn't get inside. Has a huge seating area as well.

I think University of Toronto students privileges. They have great facility, big football/soccer/running field. I can't get inside, so I don't know about the internal system. But it looks great from outside.

It would be nice if the lights were a little better for night games, but this is a nice stadium.

My first race in Canada was here and 9 years later I had the pleasure to run with my son on this track. Feels like a home track to this foreigner and newcomer to Toronto, Canada.

This facility is outstanding. The turf is a multi-use turf with lines for both Soccer and Football. Change rooms are clean and very roomy. Facility has full wheelchair access and plenty of onsite parking. During winter time this pitch has a bubble to provide 12 month a year accessibility to the field. There are numerous bathrooms with wheelchair access and they are very clean. The field also has a full lighting system allowing for evening use of the field. Great job U of T this is a "top shelf" facility.

I come here regularly for their fun skate sessions and I've noticed that the temperature of their rink is significantly higher than those of community center rinks. I don't find it bothersome but some people might. If you come for a skating event, expect really really long lineups for rentals, especially if the event is near the beginning of the year. Admission is free if you're a UofT student and rentals are ~$4. The rentals are mostly really old and crappy from what I've seen and heard. But overall, a really quiet and empty place to skate :)

I practice here every morning, in season, and I don't really have any complaints. The turf isnt too soft so you're not getting covered in black rubber pieces. It also has a great view of the CN Tower. The parking is minimal and expensive but if you take transit, there's no issue. Staff are friendly and there's a lot of open time for the public to use it too.

The outdoor track has just been redone and is really ideal to do good performances. It's location with a view of the CN tower is really amazing. I hope the do more track and field competitions in this stadium in the future.
