What an incredible space. This was our first time here and it's now a new favorite. Even though it's a 30 minute drive we will visit regularly once it opens.

Line up for food at the smaller building and grab a seat until your number is called. Drinks and ice cream are under the Cabana. Parking is on the grass across the street.

The food was great and the servers were typical small-town-awesome.

Keep an eye on your roaming settings because you're close enough to connect to us cell service.

One of the best views in Niagara! A beautiful spot to stop on a nice day and have some seafood. I thought the prices were fair and the service was good. I would highly recommend the fish tacos. Will be back next summer 🌞

Beautiful spot! They offer gluten free chicken strips with fresh cut fries. So I always get that since I have celiac disease. Staff is friendly. Atmosphere is beautiful. There is also a little bar. Right on the lake. Beautiful drive! Fish and chips, burgers, poutines etc as options. A go to for myself and my family when we want to go out and enjoy the food and the water.

What a great place to go and share infront of the water views for days ! Wonderful staff, with amazing service they really took the time to service us the best way possible. Even opened up the ice cream area after being closed. That attention to detail really goes along way !! Great food from their Hippos restaurant ( fish & chips is delicious.) Great place to sit, eat, relax & enjoy - a Caribbean feel in Ontario! Thank you to the great staff

I was looking to take a friend from out of town for a perch dinner.....happened to be on a Tuesday, when it is hard to find. Hippos came through on a recommendation, and it did not miss.
Great spot right out on the water with a real chill vibe. Order and take your number, grab a seat and visit the bar on the other side of the patio.
One had the complete perch dinner $21 and the other the fish tacos for $12?....all in all a great experience and a great place to catch some sun and views and relax over some good food and a beer.

Great little lakeside patio bar and eatery! What a find! Excellent fish tacos and fries... with a view. Beer on tap etc etc. Will return.

Excellent food. Fabulous service. The drive here is lovely and the atmosphere is beautiful 😍 Love it here. Today was the last day for the year but we will be back next year for sure. Sometimes the lines are long here but they move really fast and it's worth it!

The food was fantastic. Fresh cut fries, burger customized to your liking. Great view of Lake Erie. The burger was huge! Great background music. Friendly staff! Highly suggest!

First time. Stopped on the way through for a drink. Great spot on the shoreline. Staff was super friendly and fun. Patio set up has an Islands beachfront feel to it. Will come back to try some of the food offerings.

We have been a couple times and the food is very good and reasonable . The service is good but if busy be patient because it is really popular. The best is you can just sit and relax with a drink while waiting and what a view of Lake Erie . It is worth it.

Great food. The fish & Chips are a must try. Also the 1.50 ice cream hit the stop... almost every day we were on vacation. Beautiful views, friendly staff... the beer was nice on a hot day!

The salad with apple and blue cheese is absolutely so refreshing. The perch tacos yummy the view is the lake so you get it all great food great staff great view

The best view in lowbanks is one thing, but add smashing good and drink and you got a home run! Definitely recommended!!!! Try the perch or miss out!!!

I mean if you're stopping for food on lake Erie, you have to get perch right? I did and it was delicious. Bring the motorcycle!

The perfect weather to sit outside and enjoy fish and chips, perfectly done. Great service and don't forget to order a cold beer. The bartender is friendly and can make you any drink you want. Definitely going back♥♥♥

My grandparents used to take me here when I was a kid and now my boyfriend and I take my Gramma here whenever we can. 😊
We've taken her to gourmet 5 star restaurants where dinner has come to $400 but she's never happier than when we take her here!

We are local to the area and love Hippos. It can feel like you are down in Key West on a sunny day. The fish tacos are my favourite. It can be busy on the weekends so we try and go during the week. Fries are great too. When we get visitors we always take them there!

Hippos is without a doubt one of the Best summer stops on your drive along Lake Erie. The food is excellent, not greasy, portions are a good size and the staff go to great lengths to get the order right. My wife and I visit on a weekly basis and we find the meals are consistent in size and quality.

The owner, Steve is professional and relaxed while his staff are well versed in their daily tasks. Everyone pulls together when the place is busy. Considering the on-going rule changes regarding Covid restrictions, the owner and staff have been accommodating and caring for everyone's safety.

The cost of a meal and drink are reasonable considering the price of food and supplies has increased substantially over the past year.

Hippo's continues to be a landmark restaurant in the hamlet of Lowbanks that you should consider a "must visit" on your next journey along the shores of Lake Erie.
