Food Basics

I was just shopping here (6pm Jan 12) and went to the male cashier with the pony tail and blonde hair (I didn’t get his name but he’s working all the time!). He was serving a young boy ahead of me who couldn’t get his parents card to work for their groceries and he proceeded to pay for his bill without any hesitation. Just thought I’d mention so he can get some recognition, a lot of people would have just ended the transaction and told the kid to leave! Very very nice of him!!

I was very impressed with the amount of great deals and quality selection, especially in the vegetarian options. Also my cashier, Brayden, was so helpful and friendly that I had a very enjoyable shopping experience.

Everybody loves Food Basics. The staff is knowledgeable of their products. Staff is outside and helping guests receive a carrier on wheels and also they can check their own groceries.

Found everything we needed and at good prices. The store was clean and well stocked. All the items on sale was fully stocked as well. And no line ups when checking out. Was a good day♥

Clean store with some great grocery deals and decent produce, I prefer shopping here to Sobeys honestly. The international foods section could use a lot of expansion though, it was kind of sad lol

Called the store looking for boxes. The person answering the phone redirected me to the manager. His name is Brandon and he went over and above to gather up the boxes that I required. It was very appreciated and I just wanted to mention that today this is rare. So way to go Brandon. Thanks again. Great job. It's my go to store

Excelent place, all clean and order

The store is always kept clean and tidy. The staff are friendly and they always have a great selection. Shelves are never bare, kept stocked well. The sales are great and they beat out pricing if I compare my same grocery list to Walmart.

So very glad to see that you now finally have self check-out! Good to see you are keeping up with the city stores! I will be shopping here a lot more often now. No more standing in long lines...LOVE IT! THANK YOU!

The staff at the Food Basics in Simcoe,Ontario are the best!! Always greeted with a smile and they are always so nice when I'm shopping. Daniella on cash is an absolute sweetheart.

Store has amazing selection of fresh products at great prices. I used to shop at more expensive stores like fortinos but recently I can find an incredible stock of vegan and vegetarian simulated meats and cheeses as well as ethnic and specialty foods and there's no need to drive anywhere else or spend more.

The store is clean and well stocked. The produce and fruits are fresh and well priced, with a good selection. Unlike the Food Basics in Caledonia this location does not sell the ready cooked chicken.

Staff are awesome with the customers. They are very friendly and do their best to meet expectations.

Amazingly clean and friendly staff. Always have the best produce, the manger is my personal favourite. Always jokes around with the costumers. 13/10 would recommend

Fast efficient service when you need to run in for a couple of items and need to get out.

Even though the availability of product is lower than we are used to, all staff was very pleasant and accommodating.

A good store. This store is open after most other Dunville stores are closed so I appreciate the convenience. The usual selection and prices for a Food Basics. Friendly, helpful staff.
