We came here for a weekend getaway this past weekend and had a wonderful time. We brought our two small dogs, and it was very pet friendly. The bathrooms were clean and had hot water. (One suggestion: think about changing the shower heads? They are jet streams and hurt a little lol) but nothing we couldn't deal with. The campsites were very spacious, the park staff were friendly and very attentive.

The beach was closed, though, while we were there the entire time. People still swam, but we weren't sure why it was closed? Great spots to fish if you want to fish. Also, great views are all around. We were able to watch the fireworks they had in Canada, and it was beautiful.

One real suggestion: maybe getting a camp store?

Overall, it was a GREAT camping spot and would highly recommend to anyone.

This was my first time visiting this park and I tried to string the trails together to get one continuous loop. It ended up being roughly 2 miles and change from the parking lot by the beach out and back. Each trail intersection was clearly marked in the woods but I still checked the photocopied trail map they gave me at the entrance station to make sure I was turning in the right direction. I walked clockwise around the trails. However, I think the counter-clockwise direction might be more challenging with steeper uphills, but that's just a guess.

The terrain varied quite a bit from roots to rock to mud to deep sawdust and there were a few steep up-and-down sections. I definitely recommend using hiking or trail running shoes.

There wasn't anyone else out walking so it was a glorious time to be in the woods. There was a little bit of car/truck noise but it was still pretty quiet most of the time. Also, in mid-June, the mosquitoes and black flies were out in force in the wetter areas so don't forget to bring the bug spray!

Beautiful shoreline access to St. Lawrence River! I had never been here before but was driving by with my son and dog so we stopped. The waterfront campsites appear to be great for kayaking. There is also a boat launch located in the waterfront campsite area. The swimming area closed for the season 8/20 but it didn't look that great.. lots of lily pads and sea grass growing on the sides.

I thought it was really cool they have a laundry room though! I posted a separate picture with the hours and cost of the laundry that was posted on a bulletin board.

Spent 4th of July here this year. Wasn't crowded. Everything was clean and we really enjoyed it. Bring binoculars to take in the views across the river. And go walking on the rock formations at the point.

Bathrooms are in desperate need of an update. They arent the cleanest. I do however love bringing the family here. The river views are amazing.

One of the most beautiful and well maintained parks we have camped. We travel full time so we have seen many. Site 36 is wonderfully separate from the others if you don't need power. Beautiful view and very spacious.

This state park is a gem. Stunning scenery. Very clean and well maintained. Amazing water front tent and rv sites. Bike riding, fishing, walking trails, life guard swimming beach or jump off the rocks in front of your campsite. You won't be disappointed.

Visiting from Northern Virginia and was looking for a beach we could enjoy for the day. Came across this park close to where we were staying. Clean, not crowded and just what I was looking for. A few ducks kept us company. Lifeguard was on duty.

We just returned from a Canadian long weekend at Jacques Cartier and I must say, this park is far better than any provincial park we've been to. Not a blade of grass out of place right from the front gate. Sites were beautiful grass and meticulously maintained. The park staff were professional and extremely friendly. Firewood and ice readily available, and daily site garbage pick-up by park staff. No park wardens watching your every move like Canadian provincial parks. If you have children, the beach and playground area are great! We'll done ✔ 😌. We will be a repeat customer for years to come!

Peaceful, watching the ducks swimming around. This was at site 54. Made my life easier didn't have to back the trailer in. Still learning. Park staff friendly and helpful.

Nice site. Great location. Amenities clean and well maintained. Good respect of the quiet hours. Park services were cut down recently! If you need ice and/or wood plan ahead as it maybe tough to get from the park and you would need to drive to a nearby gas station.

Beautiful little gem of a park. Located right on the majestic St. Lawrence River with breath taking views. There is a huge outdoor picnicing area. Large fields for the kids to play in, a big playground area, pavilion, and beach area. Only downfall is the Canadian Geese...pooping everywhere!

Really enjoyed this campground. They have some nice waterfront sites with electric. They are close together, yet far enough apart to have a little privacy. We stayed in site 115 one night and 50 the next. 115 was really nice near the end of the loop and very easy to get in and out. The pic is of 50, which was nice too. The area with 50 requires a bit of grass driving which can be tricky if wet. The sites in that area may be a bit tricky for trailers or larger vehicles too. For those, stay in the end of the loop or interior sites.

What a beautiful state park! The grounds are immaculate. The lawn is so well maintained - you think that you are on a golf course! It looks beautiful. You get wonderful views of the St. Lawrence River - we saw one freighter go by. We will definitely visit this Park again. P.S. I went to Jacques Cartier to kayak on the St. Lawrence River - what an experience - calm at times, then you hit little 'whirlpools', windy at times. The islands on the Canadian side have signs - listing the name of the island - so it makes it easy and fun to follow along on a paddling map. Awesome!
