A piece of heaven in the form of nature. Canadian shield, pristine waters, numerous islands to dot the water. Spring, summer or fall...great for paddling every season.

One of the better managed parks as well. Small beach that gets really crowded on weekends so walk along to find the better hidden beaches and spots.

Bring mosquito spray, the woods won't be kind while launching your boats.

This is the best park I've been! Love it so much!!! We were there in mid August and was awesome! This is the place to do anything you want doing outdoors - swimming, diving and watch fish, paddle boarding, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, hiking, etc... everything!!! Love it!!!

We visited this park for the first time and it is now one of my favourite parks. We lucked out on a site in the Bayside campground down right close to the main beach. We kayaked out on to the lake, and saw so many turtles, an ospreys nest, swans and an otter. It's a beautiful, huge lake and you can just paddle for what seems like forever, I can't wait to go back. The kids loved it so much, there was a big rock in the middle of our sites and all the kids congregated there and had a blast. Great park!

Such a beautiful provincial park. Their is nice dog beach. All trails we hiked were nice. I liked the fact that park rangers were ok with us having a fire going late into the evening. We got an awesome show of two barn owls talking once in life time opportunity. It sounded like monkeys making noise. No internet service at campsite not an issue for us. Campsite dont have much privacy so most people parked there car in front of campsite very close to water many people out paddle boards . Such a beautiful park. I definitely want to come back again.

Beautiful park for a paddle or swim. Did a day trip and had a blast. Fishing was brutal but still enjoyed going around all the islands and then having a shore lunch.

Very serene. It was a picture perfect view of the Charleston Lake. So inviting and very relaxing. Not hard to hike. The trees are beautiful the grounds are soft feels like there's cushions due to the fallen pine leaves. Lots of shares while hiking. The camp sites are beautiful ang big areas. I love the built in gazebos in the middle of sites. Love to camp here again.

Beautiful campground at this provincial park! Lots of space and trees. A couple clean beachs to swim at (one dog beach). In person learning experiences from stories of the area and first nations. Kids loved cycling around everyday. There are lots of hiking trails.
You can bring your own boat at no extra cost. Showers/laundry/ toilets at every campground.

It was our first backcountry camping - can really recommend for the beginners. Very beautiful trails. A lot of mosquitoes, especially closer to the evening.

Great park with several trails, beautiful views, and dog park. Saw turtles, several deer, and an owl. Tent sites looked a little small, but trailer sites were a decent size.

We had a great time backcountry camping. The only issue was hunting for a suitable tree for a bear hang.

Lovely couple of beaches, with a small area near the second beach that is designated as dog friendly, multiple trails, including a long 10km loop trail. One trail includes unique rock formations that were briefly inhabited by people circa 500-900AD. Negative is lots of campers and the parking lots being almost always full. But the lake scenery is breathtaking. Beautiful park.

This is another great Ontario Provincial park with plenty to do and see for anyone who likes the outdoors. There are multiple hiking trails of various difficulty levels and distances from a sort accessible trail to a more difficult 10k loop trail. Plenty of water for canoeing, kayaking, and paddleboarding and lots of rentals available if you don’t have your own. Most of the campsites are nice and there are a few that have their own water access which is super helpful if you’re bringing a canoe or kayak. There’s a small discovery Center with a small park store selling souvenirs. We saw some cool wildlife with various warblers, turkeys, snakes and a few garbage panda raccoons. There’s a good dumping station with two lanes that seems able to handle a reasonable flow of trailers. This is s favourite park and we’ll be back!

Beautiful park with a fantastic lake for kayaking, canoeing and any water sport you can think of. The trails are great with lots to see. The bathrooms and showers at the comfort stations are cleaned multiple times throughout the day as I witnessed this. We will be putting this park at or near the top of our list.

The park is well maintained. The trails are beautiful. The beaches are better than alot of Canadian beaches, just lots of algae past the barrier.
My favorite place to go camping.
