Great service and great food. You need to take reservations for busy time. It’s much go place in sun peaks. Make sure you say hi to Niki. She is awesome!

Consistently, one of the best places to go for a casual dinner at Sun Peaks. They have great staff and reasonable prices. There are lots of schnitzel choices and plenty of good appetizers. The hunter schnitzel, tequila prawns, and the mussels are great. We will definitely be bac for more.

I wish I could give even more stars. We were given Powder Hounds as a recommendation from staff at The Grand, and I'm so glad we listened. Our drinks were great - double Ceasar that was perfectly spiced, and the Phillips Electric Unicorn. We shared the caprese salad, which was nice and light. Which was great because our mains were huge! The daily special was surf n turf, my husband's steak was perfectly medium rare, and the bernaise sauce was buttery and delicious. I had the cordon bleu schnitzel, and it was to die for, perfectly crispy, and the Dijon sauce was such a great compliment. Veggies for both were perfectly charred and crunchy, and the spatzle was wonderful. Our server (Nicky, I believe) was such an awesome human! We had a lovely chat with her, she was so friendly and kind. And considering how much we ate, the price was insanely good. We will absolutely be back to try something else!

It was my first time visiting sun peaks and the locals suggested. I check out this place. In my opinion, it was the best restaurant in the village. The service was fantastic and the food was great. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. And I want to give a special. Thanks to Jerry for making my stay an exceptional one.

We love this place and come here every time we come to Sun Peaks. Famous for their German style food, the Schnitzel is always very good and authentic and the beef stroganoff is excellent.

It’s a bit loud and always pretty busy but highly recommend.

Quick note: it’s best to try to go in early or call in to make a reservation as they get very packed very quick.

Absolutely amazing. Autumn was our server and she took such good care of us regardless of how busy it was. The food was exceptional. Can’t wait to come back. 100/10. The food was cheaply priced especially considering how amazing it was

Best prawns and mussel ever I had in British Columbia. Sauce is amazing. Staff very friendly. Love this place and will bring whole family here. Pet friendly as well.

We were wandering the village on an Appies and Drinks pub crawl, and this place derailed our plans in the best way possible. We started with the Tequila Prawns. Eight Prawns sautéed in a Tequila & Chipotle cream served in a corn tortilla bowl with Garlic bread. Get extra garlic bread and don't waste a drop of the sauce. Also ordered the calamari, was very good. THEN we decided to split the Hunter Schnitzle. Holy God this was good. The sauce was thick and packed with mushrooms. Came with spätzle and red cabbage. I would go back for this dish alone. To top it off our server was fantastic. She was charismatic and so so fun.

This place was a cool atmosphere but and the food was great! Definitely one of the better restaurants in Sun Peaks! For sure give it a go! Make sure to have a reservation!

All staff were great and the food was just as good. Autumn is a blessing to have met. Best value meals in Sun Peaks.

The four golf brothers had an amazing supper here! Our waitress Autumn did a great job, very helpful.

Fantastic dining experience! The staff were lovely and knowledgeable about the menu and the dishes themselves. The lemon chicken was amazing and they made a great Bailey's coffee.

Review of Powder Hounds in Sun Peaks Resort in BC

What do you do when you’re in BC’s natural sports paradise and hunger hits? Well, you follow the locals, of course!

This is about the great outdoors where good appetites can be whipped up in no time. Powder Hounds is set in a picturesque alpine village that caters to outdoor sports aficionados - sports including skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking, golfing and hiking. Whatever your pleasure in the mountains, Powder Hounds can provide a satisfying and authentic eating experience (including a warm and cozy experience in the winter).

Each of food, atmosphere and staff were a standout for us. Our schnitzels were perfectly crispy on the outside and flavorful on the inside. Our Caesar salads (with the addition of plump prawns) were the best we’ve ever eaten. The grand finale of lemon cheesecake with berry coulis was artfully served while covered in an impressive “snow drift” of whipping cream (which happened to mirror the overnight, fresh dump of powder snow outside).

Powder Hounds has an excellent selection of BC wines and popular beers. An unexpected little surprise for us was the B52 coffee that rivals the famous “Rüdesheimerkaffee” made in Germany.

Powder Hounds can be recommended for anyone – from die-hard sports enthusiasts to families (and there is a children’s menu), from locals to lovers. In fact, the friendly and attentive staff will find you an out-of-the-way table if you prefer a quiet red wine by candlelight.

Had a wonderful experience. Despite what others said about the waiting time our food was out in 30 mins which allowed us time to enjoy a cocktail. We were taken care of as soon as we arrived. All schnitzels and lemon chicken awesome. Large portions. Salads large. Place was full on a Tues night. Several large groups. A reservation is needed. Server Nikki was outstanding and she had a large area of occupied tables.

As usual, this place has fantastic food, a good wine selection, and great service. I always make this a priority when visiting!

Great atmosphere and the server was very kind. It took a while but the hamburger was really good. The fries were fine. The water tasted a little strange tho.

Great place! Super cozy and stylish was an excellent drink menu and friendly service plus a fun vibe. German food isn’t really my thing and we didn’t eat here
