Vertical Cafe

The Vertical Cafe was my go-to for a quick breakfast before hitting the slopes. The banana bread and brownie were both delicious, and any extras were kept in my backpack for the day as snacks. Super fresh and full of flavour rather than anything bland. Staff was always friendly too. Be warned, ski resort pricing in effect, but not something I’m surprised by, and not really anyone’s fault.

A small but bustling cafe and restaurant. Most of their ingredients are sourced from local farmers and producers. Great light meals and coffee! Can be quite bus but the line moves quickly. Indoor seating is limited though there is an outdoor seating area as well. 10% off coffee if you bring your own mug!

Stopped in twice during our stay at Sun Peaks and enjoyed it each time. We had the seasonal specialty drinks (Pumpkin Spice Chai Latte, Pumpkin Spice Eggnog Latte) as well as a slice of the pumpkin loaf. Our drinks were amazing, not too sweet and the coffee flavour still shone through the other tastes. The Pumpkin loaf was delicious, really soft and moist inside, with great pumpkin flavour. We will definitely be back on our next visit to Sun Peaks.

I had the breaky burrito and it was simply delicious 😋 probably the best breakfast of the whole trip!
Also very friendly service and atmosphere. I'm so sorry that I didn't figure out how to tip with the credit card gadget, It would have been more than deserved.

This little cafe right at Sun peak village. It has variety of sandwiches , bakery and little sitting area inside and outside. We normally manage to find spot to sit. Most skiers go directly to lodge which is big line up. Great quality as well

We’ve been going to this little cafe for many years already and it’s always a pleasure. The food is really good, we loooove the energy balls and the crunchy chocolate desert, but the soups and sandwiches are also really good. Staff and owners are really kind, so much that we made friends out of them! Really love this cozy place, definitely a must of Sun Peaks!

Just had the best mountainside latte and breakfast sandwich ever.

Husband and wife team were so nice and friendly this morning. Totally recommend the Vincente sandwich.

Will be back later for Nanaimo bars and more sweets.

Just returned for lunch and the Hero Sandwich and Nanaimo bars were incredible.

Really yummy and fresh smoothies, wraps, sandwiches, baked goods, and breakfasts. I loved the variety of plant-based options! Great for both vegans and omnivores. The people were super friendly too! :)

If this store existed in Vancouver, I’d be a regular customer.

We discovered this place the first full day we arrived at Sun Peaks and made it our daily stop for breakfast and lunch. Fabulous breakfast sandwiches with homemade chipotle and their soups were delicious. Coffee was excellent as well and the owners and staff were delightful to talk with and learn more about the history of the area. All 10 of us, ages 7-70 give this place top rating.

We had a delicious breakfast here. Food is fresh，rich nutrition and brings us full of energy. Highly recommend Breaky Burrito and Messy Jessie Bagel Warm and lovely place with super friendly staffs.

Great food, atmosphere and variety. They are very accommodating for allergies and have a great selection of gluten & dairy free options.

BEST chai latte EVER!! A definite must try if you love chai lattes! Awesome and friendly staff!! Food is also great. Gnar bar is definitely gnarly!! Best Cafe in my opinion!! Can't wait for my next visit!!!

The best place to eat at Sun Peaks. A chai latte I will miss when I go home, and fresh soup and baked goods that leave the other restaurants here far behind. Wonderful food & great vibe.

We had a delicious meal this morning for brunch! Vertical Club was fresh, delicious, and filling - and the Vincente breakfast bagel was really flavourful and the bagel was both crispy and soft! We had a flat white and a London fog to drink - both drinks were super tasty and hot! Staff were quick and very friendly - they have a great outdoor patio area, and one staff came out to chat to us a bit about the food and share all of the local places that they source their food from!! You can definitely taste the local freshness. Will be back for sure & would highly recommend!

Cute place tucked away just by the base of the mountain that serves food sourced from local farmers. It’s got room inside and heated seats on the patio. The staff are very friendly and you might hear a couple singing to the music they play as they make your breakfast. Good spot for a quick breakfast with a wholesome fun feel.

On Friday we had a delicious Americano. The coffee is roasted locally and had a distinctly smoky flavour that I really enjoyed. On Saturday we ordered some wraps for our ride up the #Sunburstchair to go hiking. The wraps were grilled and we waited a while to eat them. They were still delicious. A very good coffee and wrap.

We went to Sun Peaks for the first time in July 2023, we are vegan. We found that Vertical Cafe was amazing with great Vegan options, we loved the burritos! They were short staffed the last day we were there but the owner came and talked to us, a very enthusiastic guy, a pleasure to chat with. The food was amazing if you don't go there, then you are truly losing out on some fabulous food!

Went here every morning while we visited Sun Peaks. Everything we tried was delicious. We had lattes, Nanaimo bars, banana bread, and some of the salad bowls. Staff was super friendly and welcoming as well. Highly recommend.

The best at accommodating allergies! Such delicious food and amazing service. Such a Sunpeaks gem.
