Morrisey's Public House

A cosy Irish pub. You can walk through the Sun Peaks Grand Hotel, however it is a bit of a walk. The choice of drinks is good. The food is pub grub (A little bit of England in the Rockies). My Mum had the burger and fries. The only thing that let it down was that my Mum noticed that her fries had been reheated. However, like true North American service, this was rectified with a reduction in the bill. I had the Fish and chips (4,500 miles across the North Atlantic for fish and chips!), the portion was very generous and I enjoyed it.

Was in on NYE and the place was buzzing. What a great atmosphere. As busy as it was the staff were so attentive and the manager, even personally came to our table to check we were all ok and having fun. Well done Morrissey's. Would highly recommend!!

Excellent food choices on their menu. Taste is great too. I tried Pavlova for the first time here and absolutely fell in love. Definitely recommend this place if you are in Sunpeaks!

Just went for drinks here. The staff were very friendly and they had great patio seats with fire pits (making it a great spot for social distancing).

Loved the atmosphere in the midst of this beautiful alpine spot. I had the mexican fries, my husband the tacos. Both were very good . We saved room for the dessert. Can't remember the name but it was the meringue topped with whipped cream and fruit. So good we ordered two. Normally we share dessert.

We stopped into Morrisey's for a beer and snack. Food and atmosphere great but what really made the visit memorable was the waitress. What initially impressed me was that she actually seemed to enjoy my "dad jokes". During our stay she really seemed to get to know us so I asked her name..... Rebecca....so in conclusion we eat out all the time but will never forget this one lady who waited on us.

Our server Steven was super friendly and overall made our experience so great! He recommended the skittles shot which tasted so good! Overall he's a super strong server and can really read a tables vibe well! If u ever come to Morriseys defs ask for him if u wanna have a great experience!

Havnt eaten here this season yet....but Scotty is great and can't say enough good things about Laura on the bar. She absolutely kills it, what a gem! Great banter and works super hard!

Loved the menu, the staff was prompt, cheerful and very friendly. There is a nice selection of beers and other beverages to be had here. The environment is welcoming and comfortable.

Sweet bar, probably one of the more chilled places in town. Good for a few buddies having a couple beers. The servers are quick, bar guys good as well, plus the food is tasty, plenty good choices. Good fun on a Sunday as well, fun DJ in the back room. Also games in the back room, gotta love shuffle board

One of the best nights I’ve ever had social wise, and I was with my parents! Upbeat and engaging trio of Irish bands took the stage, a local Irish feller did a jig in middle of the overflow crowd who couldn’t get a seat, and a profession Aussie rugby player (self-proclaimed) shared company and then he pretended he was McGregor and I was Diaz. Overall a great vibe where it felt like everybody in the joint was a local. They bring the true feel of what I picture a Pub back in Ireland would feel like.

As mentioned, my time at Morrisey’s beats out any establishment and time I’ve had before or since.

As for the the service, it was typical fight to the front to order drink/food. But organized orderly. They had a small selection of wine, but of course made up for that in other areas. Looked like a greasy food menu, but we had previously ate.... wish it had been here.

Morrisey’s has set a standard I have been unable to repeat.

Great service by Rachel, fantastic food and a lovely setting. We really enjoyed it.

Cozy bar with friendly staff and good food.

Not sure why it's always so easy to get in for Apres when everywhere else on the hill is full because the food here is the best at Sun Peaks and the tap list is great. You should try it, or maybe you shouldn't. I like always being able to get in here!

We had a very nice evening celebrating our Wedding Anniversary..Thank you to John 'Our Server' for adhering to our wishes of taking our time as we did not want to be rushed..Meals were lovely but a note to mr chef..less salt in the lamb please!! or can we have a low sodium menu? prob not possible...Hubs fish and chips were gorgeous...and i would recommend you be very careful with portion sizes within the Sun Peaks area..MORRISEYS I will guarantee you will be FULL and get VALUE for money..has a homely atmosphere...and Guinness on tap!!!...some of the restaurants sell designer food at exgortinate prices (so u get very little food) and of course its your choice if you want the so called designer food...afters was baileys infised apple crumble with cream...had a very nice evening..Menu is small but varied enough to cater for most peoples tastes..thanks Morriseys!!! xx Julie and Paul Archer
