We have been members of SVGCC for over 20 years. This year has the best conditions ever . The membership voted two years ago to borrow 2.5+ million for upgrades to the course and clubhouse to raise it above the rest! As of July 1st , 2018 the course is open on all 18 holes. The greens & fairways are in excellent shape! The bunkers are still under development but will prove to be a factor on approach shots! Even a bit of wildlife on the course! After the round, check out The Valley Lounge! Great food! Great atmosphere! Where friends meet!

Best conditions I can recall playing at Sturgeon ever. Course in absolutely great shape. Fairways like carpets and greens running fast and true. And new restaurant patio was really nice. Really impressed with the entire experience. I’ll be back !

The food is great, scenery beautiful and staff are friendly and professional. A great place to have lunch or supper and a visit with friends.

Invited to play by member Doug G. After playing our round, I would have to say, aside from several t-box/holes under repair, the course is in terrific shape. Give it another month and it will be perfect. The course layout will speak to the weekend duffer or the more serious golfer. It can be forgiving or challenging depending where you tee-up. They are fixing up their patio, on completion it will be quite lovely. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Whilst I didn't eat this time, the plates of food I saw when grabbing a beer looked great. When I golf there next (Doug will I get an invite back, lol), I will take the time to grab a bite. I will also add, having participated in numerous charity golf tournaments, they sure have a nice facility layout to accommodate events.

I really enjoyed my round here yesterday. The course itself was in great shape, despite it being so late in the year. The biggest reason it was so enjoyable though was the service and the people working there. I can't wait to go back.

Private Country Club. Nice facility if you have big bucks. The course is very nice, not too difficult and always in great condition. The clubhouse and service are excellent but then it should be for the price. Harald approves.

We golfed on a cold rainy day but this course is very well kept and worth it.

I was given 3 gold lessons from my girlfriend for my birthday, this year. My lessons were with Jacob Cartier at sturgeon valley golf course. I don’t think I could have been happier with who I had as my instructor. Jacob is extremely down to earth, Very personable, and an overall genuine person to be around. Very charismatic and his good humour made the experience that much better. Jacob takes one look at what you’re doing and can instantly pin point every single dynamic of your game that you need to change. Even though there were many flaws in what I was doing, and I was provided what felt like a dozen steps to correct it, he made it feel natural and easy to work on until I built those consistent habits. I cannot wait to get out on the course more before the season is over and I sure hope to be back in contact with him next year for more lessons . Highly recommend Jacob. You will in no way be disappointed!

Course is in great shape. Good pro shop. Restaurant serves really great food. Lots of it at a fair price, not cheap but not over priced either. Everything I have tried, except the Sezchaun Beef dish which was over done and far too salty, has been excellent. Suprised that one dish was so far off their usual high quality and taste. I go back here fairly often. It is less expensive than the city courses and a much nicer atmosphere.

Jessica was a good sport and hit our 2nd shot to the hole on the 4th. Nice Saturday afternoon tourney with ABC. The staff was fun to interact with. Thanls for the experience and good attempt on hole 4 Jessica!

Just finished 2 years of major course and clubhouse renovations , an excellent course now even better with updated holes ,new greens and sand traps . Course is in excellent shape

Awesome course. It's always in great shape, the price is very fair. One of my favorite courses and I play it on a regular basis.
