Beautiful place, very well maintained, super friendly people. So many varieties of trees and plants, all dressed up for Christmas. A yearly tradition for our family to visit here during the holidays.

A botanical oasis in the middle of the Alberta prairie, this is a ‘must stop’ for plant and garden lovers. There are many varieties of trees, shrubs and flowers, as well as the historic Dr. Hays Heritage House. There were even grapes growing here, which was surprising to see in Central Alberta! There are also excellent public washrooms in a heated and clean building. Although admission is not charged, please consider donating!

Festival of lights was great! A stop in the middle to warm up and have a hot chocolate and hotdog! A fire outside to enjoy and all for a donation!

We loved the Christmas lights. Lots of work and imagination went into this display. Easy parking and no crowds.

Beautiful little park to stroll through. Done up beautifully in the winter...theme 12 days of Christmas. Often serve hotdogs and hot chocolate. Bonfire. Very lovely!

The lights display at Christmas time is truly heartwarming. A must see. Take a stroll through the park, following the story, filled with holiday spirit. Unlike any other. Well done by a generous group of volunteers. Hot chocolate and a warm friendly welcome topped off the pleasant experience. A real gem!

It is amazing what a small group of volunteers has accomplished over the years. This is a regular stop for my family. We find it very peaceful to stop by on a sunny Sunday afternoon with a picnic lunch. Or walk around at Christmas time drinking hot chocolate and enjoying the lights. Our daughter has had a few of her birthday tea parties in this wonderful setting.

A very lovely spring and summer garden experience, with striking floral displays and calming pathway under spreading trees. It has the potential to be absolutely extraordinary with just a little bit more time and money invested, but one cannot fault the experience for admission by donation.

always enjoy the forest of lights! it has become a tradition with good friends. Hot chocolate with a hot dog first, then go walk around and check out the display of 12 days of Christmas and have a hoot singing each each year. Then warm up by the fire with some more hot chocolate. See you again next year 🎅🤶

Cool place to visit in Trochu. Took my family for my Mother in law's birthday and she thoroughly enjoyed it. Looked like they were getting ready for a wedding which would be a cool location for that.

Hidden treasure!!! Beautiful garden with clean, new washrooms. Also has a restaurant which sadly was closed when I visited but the locals give it rave reviews. Well worth the stop. You will not be disappointed!
Update - Sept 2019 - the restaurant has moved to Main St but the garden is still fabulous !!
