Fantastic place to camp! The spots are quiet and have plenty of trees to help with the hot summer sun. There is a great spot to drift in the river and it was never too busy feeling.

Each spot has a nice fire-pit with a grill top for cooking and a picnic bench. The washrooms are basic but they do have some accessible stalls. However most of the campground (such as the path to the water) is not easily accessible for folks with mobility aids.

Would visit again in a heartbeat!

A favorite of ours. Drop in only which is nice. Hoodoo walks, and the Red Deer River is right there. Boat launch, nice playground. Potable water available. Make sure to bring firewood as it is not available at the campground. An amazing place to go birding as well!

Probobly my favourite camping trip this summer. Toleman itself doesn't have a lot of things to do, but the neighbouring dry island has some water access, and really great hikes.

I loved the peace and quiet of this campground though. The lack of cell service, and such. It's just a great way to disconnect for a bit.

The sites are pretty tidy, and secluded.

Quaint little campground about 45 minutes from Drumheller and 20 minutes from Trochu. The lots are decently large and you don’t have cell coverage which is nice. No actual bathrooms, just dry washrooms as to be expected

2part campground.half on one side of the river and half on the other side. Great sites. Usually very busy in the summertime. Bathrooms are for the most part always clean and stocked. The campground attendant is fantastic! My wife and I make the place a second home for parts of the summer and we spent our honeymoon camping along the river here. It is a very peaceful and relaxing place. Even though there is a private gun range right beside it. It has easy access to the red deer River for floating or fishing and the scenery is amazing. I am glad we found this place. We will continue to visit for years to come. 25 a night for sites. There is no power. But there is sheds that have filtered water for you to fill containers.

We had a great time here climbing around in the hills. There is a variety of sized sites most are small. A few will fit bigger campers. No Firewood so bring your own.
Pit toilets only. Potable water is found in the day use parking lot. Luckily we went exploring or we wouldn't have known it was there. It looks like a little shed. The campground was mostly quiet except for the Gun Range and that is open only during certain hours and only if people are there. Didn't bother us but bothers some people.

Very pretty. We just stopped by on a day trip, so there was no camping involved, but it was well worth the trip! Very green and quiet. I actually proposed here, so yes I would definitely suggest checking it out!

Love it. Old school unserviced campsite. Clean pit toilets. River access. Walking/Hiking opportunities. Lots of campsite choices...open, in trees, 2 (East) or 3,4,5 (West side) camper opportunities. Longer rvs may want to stay on West side or closer to highway on East side. Gets trickier in loop B. Tent sites, van sites. No potable or other water, no sanidump. Bring it and pack it out please.

Dogs on leash.

Clean facilities. Campsites had decent privacy. Close to badlands. Could hear gun club on opposite side of the river. Not busy in shoulder season.

Great campground, big sites, quite private, waterside with fun hikes around. Autumn colours made for quite the scene

Beautiful little campground. We had a river side campsite. Site A10 it was very spacious but had no tree cover. We enjoyed its closeness to the river with our own little paths out to the riverbank. Quiet and full of wildlife from garter snakes to rabbits and bird of all sorts. We fished along the rivers edge and enjoyed the park in the evening. Highly recommend this place

Wonderful campground. Clean and safe and quiet. I recomend the East side as it is larger.

Very beautiful campground hidden in the prairies. Awesome views of the canyons in the badlands of Alberta. Private spots with lots of trees, walking distance to the Red Deer River with a great swim area, awesome for water sports and fishing. Will definitely be coming back

The East side has 40 camp sites, and the West side has 20. East side is far better and has a lot of trees and shade. The West side has only one loop. There is also a shooting range next to the west side. Drinking water is available. Pit toilets are clean and big stalls. Site without hookups is $21 per night. Fire pits and picnic tables in each site. All in great condition. You can easily walk to the hoodoos and do some nice hiking from the campground. Good fishing for Goldeneye and we saw lots of people catching fish in the evening.

This is a great camping area. First come first served, so if you really want a spot arrive early. That being said, there were plenty of sites available. There is a running water tap with drinking water and a large sink. No shower or flush toilets. The sites are well separated and it was quiet. No firewood available on site, bring your own. Good trails for walking and hiking right at the site. Access to the river if you want to chance it.

Awesome place to camp. Would be better if they supplied firewood but that was really the only downfall. Great fishing in the river though ! And the campsites were very nice and quiet. Beautiful scenery !

Beautiful little gem of a campground. All sites are first come first serve, bring a cheque or cash for the self registry, they don't accept credit cards. $21 cad per night. Great spot to fish or enjoy a float in the river. When traveling from the west take the first turn right after the bridge, there is no sign for the east side campground only for the westside before the bridge which is group camping.
