Lambda Oriental Foods Supermarket

Smaller size Asian grocery store, but have a variety of products from Southeast Asian. I usually will be able to find food that I can't find at the larger grocery store here. They also have a Chinese restaurant at the front of the store if you're hungry.

Also have meat and fish section with plenty of choices. Overall I recommend Lambda if you live near the city centre and are looking for a good Asian grocery store.

The bakery is great, they are so nice

Little Asian store by center street with a restaurant built in. Good options from east Asia. I recommend fro grocery shopping here for specific veggies.

The market is great for purchasing Asian foods at great prices. The restaurant however is my favourite Chinese restaurant in YyC. I have been there six or seven times and it has been good every time. There's a reason why most of the people in the restaurant are Asian they know the food is good! Service is usually quick and efficient also.

Both the parking lot and the meat shop were busy during our afternoon visit. But we're happy to find something special here.

Lots of authenticate Asia foods and supermarkets and buns. Worth the visit for real. Reminds me of all of my child hood. Now my kids love it.

If you don't know what you're looking for, staff and butchers alike are very helpful. This place isn't for the faint of hearts. What you will find is one of the more authentic shops / supermarket in the city. If a good indicator of an Asian store is a none Asian is hard to find in the spot - then you got a place to be! This is the place to be.

Hong Kong feel

We actually went to Sun's BBQ which was great but did shop at the grocery thereafter. It's a reasonably stocked Asian grocery that has a lot of products you can't get in a conventional grocery store. I did notice that they've changed the brand of Kim Chi that they stocked, I'm sure that the new one will be just fine but the brand they used to carry can still be purchased at CostCo and really why not go to a Korean grocery for Kim Chi instead of a general Asian grocery.

We always buy meat from the meat store located to the right of the store. (Inside) They have freshly frozen thin sliced beef we buy to use in our salad rolls, hot pot, and stir fry. They also have thinly sliced pork as well. One tray can feed about 4 people. Reliable meat store.

RBC told me there was an atm available after hours. Couldn't find it, store seems cool though

I will go out of my way to buy pork and curry buns at this location. If you purchase enough, they will give a discount, but you have to purchase a lot. However, as the buns are delicious, you will be back next week, and the week after, and the week after that. A truly authentic supermarket. Makes me want to learn Mandarin for an even more authentic experience.

The parking lot is always cramped, with hard-to-find spots, but that is part of the rush of shopping at this location. Great work!

Always a great place for a great Chinese food

Very fresh products and a wide selection of Asian snacks. Good deals on food and they give you a 10% discount on your next purchase if you spend a certain amount of money (I think like $50 spent but I'm not sure)

Damn good hot lunch pastries. Great price. The regular pastries I'm sure are good as well but I come for the hot ones. They also have sour Hi-Chews which are hard to find, and are awesome. Much better then the regular Hi-Chews imo.

Went to get some stuff I had while in Japan and some other stuff I was suggested, had no problem finding what I was looking for. It was a little busy but it was also a Sunday at 1pm so that's to be expected pretty much anywhere in my opinion. Nice clean place, I'll be going back for sure!

Best BBQ Duck and their lunch pastries are delicious.

Best place for Chinese BBQ Meat!

This place is amazing! I couldn't believe how low the prices are. I went to purchase ingredients I couldn't find at Safeway for a Thai meal I was making; they had everything I needed and more! I will come here for groceries more often.
