Posting a review from my birthing experience 2 years ago since I've finally found time from life to sit down ☺
L&D staff were amazing. They were very kind and understanding of the anxieties of being a first time mom. Coached me through labor. Overall a good birthing experience. I had a precipitous delivery and the knowledge of the doctors, nurses and the rest of the staff allowed me and my baby a safe delivery. Postpartum staff were really good too. Had to stay an extra day from hemorrhage but recovered well. Staff checked on you and provided info and support with caring for new baby. Thank you!

Go me! I was lucky enough to break my knee right in front of the emergency entrance in November 🙃
Needless to say I immediately went into emergency hobbling along. The triage nurse/staff were very kind and attentive. Once I was taken to the "emergency ward/beds" I also had kind compassionate and caring nurses. There was a wait for a bed b/c I needed surgery. I ended up on unit 84. The nurses were amazing up there. They are extremely busy yet they find the time to take care of their patients as individuals. Every single staff member involved in my care were really good. They all even managed to smile a lot!
I saw lots of human kindness s compassion and caring people.

Went to emergency with chest pain and dizziness and a ton of other things happening. The efficiency of the staff and doctors was so amazing. They all showed empathy and care! I was seen immediately and felt safe and cared for. Thank you to all the staff there!!

I have a lot of things to say but I don’t know where to start. I considered that this is my second life and I was lucky to admitted to this hospital where there are good Doctors and very active staff. I am very thankful to all of them and also from EMS department. I’m from Edmonton. I was just visiting calgary with my co-workers to try the best crabs buffet but unfortunately I wasn’t feeling well since morning of Thursday. I have a huge pain tolerance so every time i have sore throat I just ignored it. And my blood pressure too high. So during the dinner I already feel strange. I almost had a mild stroke luckily they call the EMS right away. I feel sorry to the ems having trouble to poke my arms. And also to those nurses. For all the doctors checking on me am so thankful for all of you guys. I know it’s hard for you to communicate with me that time but I see the patience just to know all the details about me. Thank you for taking care of me. I cried when I say I don’t have any family and the Doctor told me no worries we’re here for you we will take good care of you. You’re safe with us. I was calmed and relax. The way they handling my situation is really passionate as they really love their job so well. And even today earlier I have two calls from the Doctors asking my situation if how am I doing now. I feel touched. I did not expect that there will be a follow up. This is not my first time been admitted in the hospital. But only this hospital touching my heart because of there cares to all their patients. I saw all of them. When I feel better next morning I observed the surrounding and they are all busy doing their individual chores nobody wasting time. Place are cleaned. God bless you all staff. And again “Thank you” from my family back home saying “SALAMAT”

Compassionate doctors and surgeons.
Clean, quiet, easy to navigate.
So much more.

I have certain medical issues that require a particular department of this hospital.

Whether I arrive by ambulance or not, I am always treated with dignity and respect.

Longer wait times are inevitable in ER depending on your circumstances.

It has been an inspiring experience to watch the healthcare workers of RGH navigate the covid challenges over the last 4 years, with a government giving absolutely minimal support. All depts show up everyday and give their literal blood, sweat, and tears. Good job everyone. Proud of everyone ❤

I was referred to come here because of a strange eye situation that was starting to make me very worried.

The first day I went to the emergency section. Yes, the wait is long. As a 45 year old Canadian, the wait at any hospital in Canada has always been long. But they got me in and had a look at my eyes. I was then told to come back the next day to their eye clinic and see a specialist. They had a more in depth look into it, gave me a few types of medicine and said to follow up the next day.

The next day, a different doctor had a few more suggestions. It seems I have a strange issue and they want to do everything they can to fix me up. As I’ve been lucky and haven’t had to go to the hospital very much in my life, so I just wanted to give a five star shout out to how hard all these nurses, doctors and caretakers that operate a hospital are working.

It seems our hospitals are always shortstaffed, and these people are never paid enough, and yet they all choose these careers taking care of other humans. Every single one of them was nice to me and I literally appreciate every single thing these people do because there is no way these are easy jobs.

I’d give them all 10 stars if I could.

Most Canadian hospitals are garbage with long wait times and rude nurses. But I went in and the lovely nurse at triage (didn't get her name unfortunately) and my nurse Maricel were so sweet and accommodating. Made sure I was comfortable at all times and got me treated super quickly. She even tucked my adult self in like a baby with a warm blanket. Thank you!

Amazing experience.
Nobody wants to be in the ER but the staff here make it an easier time.

Intake staff were wonderful when I brought my toddler in and the attending doctor was brilliant.
Everyone was compassionate and great with kids.
The wait time in the ER was shockingly quick.
I've never been seen in an ER that quickly.

A scared mama came in with her baby and we were made much more comfortable during our visit.

My first visit to Rockyview as my new GI doctor is scheduled from here. The GI unit staff is fantastic, and it is a bit convoluted from the entry, but when anyone sees your confused look, they stop to ask if you need help. Imagine this is a hospital, not a hotel, a busy place on any given day. 🤔

My name is Ana and I am writing to express my gratitude for 3 people that I dealt at Rockyview Hospital - Diagnostic Imaging today earlier. I was there for a MRI and my experience with the service , in particular Mayla, Angela B-K and Rachelle was amazing. It is good to see how those people are dedicated and love their jobs. They were angels that God put in my way, literally. Mayla, Angela B-K and Rachelle were very friendly, kind , professional and ethic. They deserve a promotion!

It’s an amazing experience. 13years, it’s my first time go to Canada hospital. Never know it will so nice and wonderful experience. Always heard that need wait for very long time. But when I went to the emergency, they immediately put me to the 6th floor single room lying on the bed. The nurses are so friend oh and nice. Talking with me so softly and sweet. The hospital so big and neat. I had my first experience on the wheelchair here. And it’s Christmas season. Everywhere on the wall can feel the Christmas. Even the nurses have little Christmas hat on the hair. So lovely.

Upon discharge, I’d like to give a big shoutout to the Psych ward for the postpartum, mental health care that was provided to me as a first time mom! The Nurses and Doctors taught me a whole genre of skills and all the problems I am going through were heard and validated. Keep up the great work and I hope the plans to make the ward a better environment comes into place! I also would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Bolderston and Nurse Daniel! They both listened and gave me the most appropriate treatment plan to help make me better. Thank you, have a blessed day!

This is the best hospital I’ve ever been to! All staff but one nurse were INCREDIBLE. (Tried to give an Advil for level 10 pain and then treated me as drug seeking when I started to cry…)

I got to ER at 9:30am with excruciating pain from a Kidney Stone misdiagnosed 2 days earlier. By 11:30 I had an IV, blood drawn, urinalysis, pain medication. By 1:30 I’d gotten an CT scan, and by 2:30 I was in surgery. Recovery nurses and doctors were all nothing short of amazing as well, and told me I could stay overnight, IF I WANTED TO! Every other hospital has kicked me out of recovery within 3 hours to go home.
Thank you all so much for being awesome and getting this mama mended up quickly!

MADDIE, a nurse who helped me with my MRI is a true gem!! She was so cute and funny, I immediately felt at ease. I appreciated her kindness. Best nurse ever!!! Thank you!!

Such caring and friendly staff! I had the best support system during labour and delivery with the nurses and the doctors that were by my side the entire the time. The nurses helped me by giving me a massage, showing different breathing techniques and calmed me down when I got scared. Thank-you to all the nurses and doctors, but a special thank-you to nurses May, Madie and Dedra from Labour and Delivery, and nurses Carmen, Nicoletta and Katie from Post Partum. The nurses in post partum taught me so much, and showed me amazing tips and tricks. I am very grateful I got this experience, and would recommend this hospital for birth over and over again! Thank-you Rockyview!!!

It was a awesome experience starting from admitting to day surgery to O.R. My nurse Joan, she was great, she and her eagle eyes she saw my veins for the IV from a far distant, and I said to her how did you see my veins from so far and she smiled. I was well taken care of. Lots of smiles I was so nervous but they make me feel better. Doctor Armstrong C. awesome doctor, the ones that give me the anesthetic was very gentle. Overall from the beginning to the end it was wonderful. Thank you everyone for being so awesome keep up the great work.

Came to the emergency room with severe anaphylaxis, Dr. Chad and the ER nurses made my healthy and safety a top priority and I want to thank them for all they did for me!

My experience at this facility has been over the top . The willingness to help is overwhelming. Every one that works here have have made my road to recovery attainable .I will never forget each DR, NURSES,, SUPPORT STAFF, and their smiles while doing the work they love. I’m overwhelmed every day I get up to start the day!!

The personnel was fantastic, and I can't express my gratitude enough. The attention to detail, the sincere concern shown to us, and the desire of every single member of staff with whom we came into contact to make our lives simpler.

One of the nurses held my wife like a sister or family member even when she was in pain and simply kept telling her that everything would be well. Above anything I have ever encountered, the professionalism and concern are exceptional. We will always be grateful to the employees at Rockyview for everything they done for us since they are nice people. Many thanks
