This restaurant is an incredible hidden gem. Stumbled upon it one night looking for something new. Every dish I have tried here has been an epic explosion of simple and complex flavours! Incredible! I have been to many many restaurants in Calgary and this one is my new favourite. Staff are welcoming, friendly, helpful and so on point with service. I’m impressed through and through. Compliments to the chef! If you want well thought out dishes, ranging in seafood, meat and vegetarian delights then you HAVE TO come here. Carpaccio is the best in town! We’ve had oysters, gnocchi, lamb, filet mignon, pork belly prawns. My one and only observation which doesn’t compare to the food quality is that the restaurant itself could use some updating but I’m a happy happy customer and really don’t care with THAT quality of food! Upstairs is a quieter choice for intimate meals. Amazing all around! Please keep up the incredible selection and flavours

We decided to have an impromptu treat last night and were craving oysters. We’ve heard nothing but great things about Emarcadero’s and we’re SOOO happy we decided to try it.

Our server was phenomenal, and had great insights on the menu.

The oysters were incredible, and their house made relish was top tier. Definitely recommend trying this place out!

We started off the night with the oyster platter, which was an amazing way to try each oyster they have.
We then ordered our favorites!
The vegetable bowl was a nice, mild curry dish.
I do warn you that it does smell fishy inside but my sniffer is a little more sensitive these days. We asked to be seated outside and enjoyed the patio.
The service was great! Our food was out in a timely manner.
If you’re looking for a good oyster- this is the place!

Lovely spot. It's a quiet atmosphere which I prefer, easy place to have a conversation with a friend. Great service, the fella running the show as well as all the staff is attentive and nice. I of course go there for the array of oysters served, however they also have a complete menu and what I've had from that is really well made and presented.

Amazing variety of fresh oysters. Prompt service on point. Definitely going to visit, next time in the city. Recommending all my friends around. Don't forget to ask about the special price for the oyster of the day.

Loved it! Great food fair price! Went on a Monday with my Hubby for some oysters and a couple appetizers. Greg the server was fanatic very knowledgeable very attentive . Highly recommend will for sure be back!

I was craving a good seafood pasta and was pleasantly surprised by this place! Had raw oyster off the shell for the first time and really enjoyed it, probably the best seafood pasta I've had in Calgary and husband puts it in his top 20 meals ever. Must try!

Greg has always been, and continues to be an amazing server. Always pleasant, even though there was no birthday singing his efficiency and professional conduct adds to the wonderful experience that we have been able to enjoy every single time we have had the opportunity to enjoy a meal here.

This is our second time eating here for the fresh oysters. Coming from the West Coast, I was skeptical of eating oysters because generally they don’t taste fresh in Calgary. This place knocked it out of the park where even my husband approves of it. There’s no happy hour but rather $1.50 daily feature oyster. Today’s feature was the world famous wild oyster from Mapelbeque Bay, BC. It was smaller compared to the feature oyster I tried last time—don’t remember the name but I recall it was a small but mighty oyster ending in “petite”—the texture had more of a chew when you bit into it, no sand, and the salty mineral finish was clean. This oyster paired really well with the Korean bbq sauce that they give you.

The interior of the restaurant is outdated, the space could be better used as majority is booths. I noticed that the bar takes up most of the space in the main area and the servers have to go around to bring the food in. Tonight was only one server and they were delivering 10/10 service. We didn’t notice any lag in quality of service.

This is our favourite place to go for oysters in the city. They have a different oyster on special every time we visit and love to try the different variety.

The bacon wrapped scallops are ok but not as good as the carpaccio.

The carpaccio here is probably one of the best in the city and if you come here and don’t get it, then you lose!

It is a incredibly nice and charming place! Not to mention that this place has been around for many years and hosting some of our most famous professional athletes. Great food, compliment along with great services, if you are around 17th Ave, please do visit. Love the fresh raw oysters.

I like this place it's really good! the prices are very reasonable for what you get. I order the oysters and they are always fresh. I had the lunch seafood risotto and it was soooo good. Only $20 too. I've been here multiple times and I haven't eaten anything I didn't like :)

Food was incredible, great prices for the large portions you receive. Everyone was super friendly and we will definitely be back!

The Jambalaya was amazing. I loved the scallops as well. Our new go-to place for oysters! Service was amazing but i felt that the sprite given me was old/stale. Server was kind enough to put that in the house.

Very cozy restaurant , perfect for dinner dates or small birthdays. I say small because he service wasn’t the best the day we went but the quality of the food makes up for it. Probably one of my favourite beef carpaccio in the city. You can never go wrong with the oysters here. Everything we ordered met my expectations except for the Caesar salad which says had anchovies but couldn’t taste any.

Embacardero is one of the best places to come for oysters and rest assured their quality and taste never disappoint. We ordered the Seafood clam chowder to start and it was very tasty, just the right amount of portion and also gave us a sense of comfort. We also got 10 oysters that were on special and was very delicious. For our main we had the surf and turf and also the seafood gnocchi. Both of the orders never disappointed us.

Came in on a Monday night, near closing.

Area can be tricky to find parking on the street.

Oysters were good (fairly good selections), depending on which you select. Friendly staff and venue has a bar where you can enjoy watch sports on TV.

Very fresh & juicy oysters!

Happy hour very worthwhile!
