My friend and I indulged in their cappuccino and caramel latte, both satisfying choices. However, for those with a sweet tooth, a flavor shot of caramel in the cappuccino would be a delightful addition. The carrot cake stole the show with its delicious cream cheese frosting, complementing the coffee perfectly. The presence of a fireplace adds a cozy touch, ideal for focused working.
While the parking spots nearby are limited, the culinary delights offered, including the mouthwatering margherita pizza, make Alforno Bakery and Cafe a worthwhile destination. The harmonious blend of ambiance, service, and culinary offerings ensures a memorable experience, leaving patrons eager to return.

Cute lil cafe tucked away in a quiet corner. Easy to bird/neuron here. Seating may be very limited at popular times, but otherwise very lax. Only had the coffee and vegan cake here. Couple of vegan options for veganese and dairy-free people. Great spot for dates or zoning into work.

I have very mixed feelings about this place. I’m still giving them a five star, because the experience might be right for other kind of clientele and overall the place is well managed.

But for me personally I drove by the place and it’s a big white building, corner unit you cannot miss it. Lots of street parking available so easy access being within downtown but stepping inside the atmosphere just wasn’t ideal. The place was overly loud. We only had two options for dine in both were not ideal tables. (personal preference)

But mainly talking about the food and pricing. Found it way overly priced for very small sized portions. The food/ drinks themselves were ok, but just the portion and the price I would rather pick 10 other spots, then have this on my go to list…

The best cafe in the neighbourhood . The almond croissant is to die for, although the vanilla iced latte was not upto the mark but the breakfast sandwiches are big and heavy. All the breakfast items are very filling. The dessert section is a total treat to the tummy! Worth every single dollar ! The ambience is quaint and posh. The service is great too!

Always great, foam on the vanilla latte was close to perfect but very good, parfait was an absolute banger would highly recommend that, nutella croissant was a bit dry but not bad and the bennys were perfect actually, the bread was super soft too. I was sitting right by the fire place also which was amazing

Excellent coffee, food and service. Will definitely be back. Visiting from Scotland 🏴?????? was the perfect spot to get out of the cold for a while.

Everything was good. We arrived at 10:30 am Saturday and had to wait for 5 minutes. When we left, the line was long.

Cozy environment for a cold evening. Spicy pumpkin role and cappuccino. ( nicely designed!) friendly staff and welcoming area.

Staff are kind and their lattes are best in the west. Atmosphere is great unless it’s lunch of course it gets busy.

Clean, crisp, sleek and bougie cafe/restaurant hybrid. Most definitely a place where the people who work there take pride in everything little thing. If you like a classic Canadian breakfast, I’d personally recommend the Mafia

Very clean place, lots of options, the pizzas are great, well cooked and tasty. Flat white is delicious and the cake options are massive. You can have breakfast, lunch and dinner in one stop here and of course deserts.

I have been working near Alforno for a little over 6 months now. I tend to go in a couple times a day to get a snack or something to drink. And I must say for being a small cafe / bakery this place is amazing the staff is awesome they great every costumer with a smile and a good morning/good afternoon. They make you feel welcome and at home!! The food is amazing!!! And the price considering todays market is pretty good to. If you’re ever in the area and looking for a place to eat or a coffee with a friend or college then you definitely need to stop by. You won’t be disappointed I promise.

Lovely cafe with great food and coffee. I enjoyed the vegan chai pudding.

Matcha was delicious, raspberry cheesecake was fine as well. Interior and atmosphere is pleasant and relaxing . Self service is not really convenient though, you have to leave your place and take your stuff with you when you want to order something else.

This is a great place for dine in, takeaway, or for ordering through Too Good To Go. They have a wonderful brunch menu, great coffee, and nice sandwiches. The staff are always really friendly and welcoming.

In the summer, they have a nice patio, as well as some bench seating out front. They also have some merchandise for sale.

We were here yesterday and ordered an omelette, a hot chocolate, mocha, and a cheesecake.
The cheesecake was SO good. It is a smaller portion so we’d order two of these next time we go in.
The omelette with cheese topping was good but it was mostly the sourdough that made it so much better. The sourdough at this place is amazing.
Unfortunately the hot chocolate was cold but mocha was good.
The service we got here was top notch. We got seated fast and the servers here are so friendly and welcoming. We’d definitely go again when we are in Calgary next time.

Amazing bakery, large space and great ambience. Fairly expensive compared to other cafes.

Great place for weekend brunch of lunch. Sandwiches are second to none! Go early if you want the best selection. By 1 pm, most choices are gone. Great coffee too!

I went in today to take some photos (because it’s one of the most aesthetic spots in Calgary), and even though the staff let me know I would have to contact prior and get permission to take photos they all were so positive and friendly! I’ll definitely be back and recommending this place to all my friends!

The wonderful coffee shop with a cozy atmosphere and an interesting interior. There are delicious hot drinks, pastries and desserts are fantastic.
100% worth a visit if you haven't been there yet ;)
