Brewed Awakenings

We love to support independent coffee shops like this one that serve locally roasted coffee that is ethically sourced. Stopped in while staying nearby and tried an americano and an iced coffee. They have comfortable seating inside and a few places to sit outside on nice days. We’d certainly go again when we’re next in town.

Have been here a few times now (the carrot cake is a must have). Team is lovely, place is cozy, food is fresh and delicious! I’ll be going a few more times…

Great local coffee and bake shop, the desserts are wonderful and the soup with a tea biscuit are a favourite option. Very filling and flavourful, I've never been disappointed. The baked goods here are all so good, but I'd recommend the peanut butter squares- they're addictive! This is my go to shop when picking up desserts or treats for friends. The number of gluten free options are wonderful as well.

Excellent coffee and great food in a peaceful atmosphere and at an affordable price. Highly recommend. Sandwiches are on bread from Grahame’s Bakery and the cream of mushroom soup was phenomenal (it would curl the hairs on a Hobbit’s toes).

On a road trip, and stopped by this place, had walnut green, very good taste and unique. Great ambience in and out of the Brewed Awakenings. Friendly Barista~

Delicious gluten-free baked goods! Lots of options. The ginger cookie was so soft and really yummy. Also the decaf coffee is great!

Excellent homemade sandwiches and cookies or pastries. Sugar free varieties, amazing soups and the best coffee of any kind. Extremely friendly and professional staff. Also a great place to sit, enjoy the view of 43 or have something to read from free selections. Nice comfy couch as well!

Amazing experience always. The delicious coffee, freshly baked pastries and the homemade soups are all fantastic. The service is also top notch. The dark chocolate raspberry scone is worth driving from Ottawa for.

A lovely little cafe with excellent coffee and perfect pastries (with gluten free options). I ordered delivery and even though my phone had terrible reception, the staff was patient, polite and got my large order correct.
I highly recommend this local treasure to anyone.

I came to Brewed Awakenings for the first time last week. While enjoying my delicious Rideau Roast (my fave) coffee and biscotti, I went to add them on Instagram. Unfortunately I learned that the owner had recently passed away.

I want to acknowledge not only the delicious food but also the amazing staff. Despite this devastating time, they were friendly, helpful and provided exceptional service. Had I not read it on Instagram, I would have had no idea. The owner would be proud.

This spot has now become my work spot twice a week while my daughter is starting her half days at daycare up the road. I look forward to my Latte and delicious biscotti everytime I come. 😋

A quick detour off the 416. Great selection of hot drinks, yummy, generously-sized baked goods and well-priced sandwiches and paninis. Clean and bright with welcoming and friendly staff. At home hospitality that knocks the socks off En Route stops, Timmy's and Starbucks. Will happily make this stop again.

I’m almost ashamed to say I wouldn’t have stopped if Starbucks wasn’t closed. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. There was a great selection of sandwiches and treats too. I asked the barista for her recommendation for a cold drink and she suggested an iced latte. The drink was a little sweet for my liking, but otherwise fantastic. They even had coffee frozen in cubes instead of regular ice so my drink isn’t diluted as it melts!

I recently moved to Kemptville in October and finally tried Brewed Awakenings. This coffee shop has a perfect atmosphere and friendly staff, the coffee was wonderful and they have many great selections of beverages and baked goods! I can’t wait to go back and try some more of their menu. My new go to for coffee!

You can’t go wrong with stopping in at Brewed Awakenings. Great coffee (you can also buy whole bean and ground coffee here), great paninis and soups, and the baked goods are too good... can never leave with just one treat. They also do bags of cookies and other goodies.

I always love it here! Fresh goodies, fair trade coffee, amazing staff! And their soups and mains are delicious!!! Great comfort food on a cold day! Would recommend to anyone :)

We stopped here on our way to Ottawa and had a great experience. The service was super friendly and the coffee and egg sandwiches were delicious. We definitely recommend stopping at this local spot!

Brewed Awakenings is an absolutely wonderful little gem in the town of Kemptville. The large selection of items does not detract from the quality in the slightest. Stopped in with my mom for a treat. Our coffee and latte were exceptional and the scone and shortbread were fresh and tasted great. They also have a nice selection of items for breakfast and lunch including wraps, bagels, sandwiches and soups. Indoor and outdoor seating make it ideal place for a solo trip or with friends. Free WiFi is provided and the speed is great and consistent. If you're a local and haven't yet, or are traveling through I would definitely recommend stopping in, you won't be disappointed!
