Everyone here was so friendly. Right from Nikki, the receptionist, who asked Covid details, to Kelly, the veterinary technician, who called me while I was outside (Covid protocol), and took a very thorough history after reading 8 years of my dog's previous records (I had recently moved and this was my first visit to Apsley, but the previous vet transferred her files over). Then Kelly came outside, and managed to coax my very separation anxiety dog away from me to take her inside. (Covid protocol kept me from being allowed in with her). Kelly has the type of energy that dogs love.

Then after Mica's exam, Jodi, the veterinarian, called me and spent a very long time on the phone with me going over all details of the exam (it was her yearly check up). She was thorough and very patient with me, especially with my hearing impairment. She was so kind and generous with her time. I could tell Mica must have loved her.

The service is less expensive than my previous vets in Brampton, and they were upfront right from Kelly's phone call with me at the beginning as to what the cost would be.

I highly recommend this vet service to anybody in the general area. I see why my previous vet recommended it. I will continue to go there, despite being slightly closer to a couple of other vets.

I just want to mention some additional people at Apsley Vet who went above and beyond for my dog and myself at her last check up in April of 2023.

Dr. Hannah was kind, compassionate, knowledgeable, and extremely reassuring with some excellent advice and news about helping control Mica's pain level. She patiently answered all of my questions and was thorough in her examination. Dr. Hannah also personally called me at home with the results of Mica's blood work, and reviewed these with me.

Jeff, the vet tech that met us outside and brought us in was thorough also, in his history taking and in relaying the history as well as my concerns to Dr. Hannah. There was another vet tech that came in to take Mica's blood. I’m sorry, I didn’t catch her name, but she was so calm, kind, and compassionate while doing the blood draw.

And finally but certainly not least, there was Kristen, the receptionist. She was so patient with me, both at the clinic and when I had to call in a couple of times after I got home with some questions about my pet insurance.

Thank you to the whole team. You are doing such a wonderful job of looking out for my dog's health.

Was up in Bancroft at a cottage. Brought my old Great Dane in as he unfortunately had a bad fall and had to be put down. It was heartbreaking and I’m tearing up writing this. The staff there though were nothing but great, they brought out a blanket, pillows and put it under a tree on their property. He was put to sleep there in the sunshine while the birds were chirping. They assured us we were making the right decision even though it didn’t make it any easier. Thank you to the staff for being so caring. Love ya Henry ❤

Apsley vet has always had my pets well-being as their number 1 priority. They explain everything and always follow up with us. They are very thorough and caring.

Incredibly helpful and compassionate vet service. We were vacationing in the area and our dog broke his dew claw. We tried to get seen at Faraday in Bancroft but were brushed off, so we call Apsley, and they got us in within a couple hours. The techs and vet staff were super friendly and helpful when we arrived despite it being last minute and our pup not actually needing much medical attention.

Apsley vet was absolutely amazing. They gave my dog the very best care and kept me at easy while she was being treated. Very kind staff that felt the pain that her and I were in. The saw us promptly and I left feeling at ease.

My recent visit with Dr Megan was truly a wonderful experience. Megan was very professional but very caring and kind and honest.

Despite not being a previous client, we immediately got an appointment and treatment for our dog to remove some painful porcupine quills. The final invoice was affordable (and below the initial estimate). The staff were very professional, they followed up and also shared the info with our regular vet. Service was great and very much appreciated.

We had to take our Great Dane to see the vet. I loved the fact that we stay in the parking lot until our room is ready. No waiting in the waiting room just straight to the exam room. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They took us to our exam room where the assistant updated our file and asked what brought us to yhe Vets today. We explained our concerns and he went to get the vet. In a few minutes the Vet came in. Introduced herself talked to us and to our dog to set her at ease. The doctor came and discussed our concerns and took our dog to another room where she was examined and fixed our problem. This doctor was very pleasant, professional and explained everything to us without making us feel foolish.
We felt very fortunate to have such a welcoming visit from ALL of the people that work at Apsley Veterinary service. They are really special people.

So thankful they were able to see our dog Nova. We showed up at 8 am because our dog was not well while visiting the cottage. We were seen right away and made me feel so much better. Highly recommend!!

Update 2022: Just had my dog's annual review. I cannot speak highly enough about this vet office. Everyone there is just great. We recently lost one of our dogs last year and they were so very compassionate about it. I really appreciate them all!

Update Oct 2023: Just as great as always. I have a large dog and a cat and both are extremely well looked after by the staff. This is by far the cleanest facilities and friendliest staff I have ever had the pleasure to work with. I literally trust them with my pets' lives! Thanks guys!

Great place very nice staff. It is not what it used to be original owner sold out to retire and ya not the same put it that way.

Apsley Vet have looked after our beagle since we moved to the area 6 years ago. We find the staff very friendly and accommodating especially in an emergency. All the vets are extremely knowledgeable. Dr Mellio is fantastic very compassionate and extremely committed to find the source of the problem. We are extremely pleased to have them as our vets.

Recently I took my extremely reactive 2 year old dog in for his first visit. The staff where very understanding and treated us both with kindness. They provided me with information on why he reacted the way he does and ways to alleviate his fear/stress, thank you !!!

I honestly do not think you could've made the experience better -- initial phone contact went perfectly, we got our dog in to see the vet within 2 hours, the appointment was thorough and helpful, and aftercare instructions were clear and produced the positive outcome we were hoping for. From start to finish, our experience we 100% excellent. Thank you.

Moved to the area and was seen for the first time at AVS. Was skeptical as I had and still have an outstanding relation with our previous vet. Was very satisfied with our appointment there and they made me and my two cats feel very welcome and comfortable. Relived my cats are finally up to date with vaccines and had a good checkup with Dr. Maegan Melillo. I look forward to the ongoing relation with AVS.
