Costco Pharmacy

I have been using this pharmacy for over a decade; I have also used other pharmacies during this period. Given the difficulties in staffing experienced during Covid by all pharmacies, I have to say that Costco has been courteous, reliable and good value for money.

We needed a prescription urgently filled and the team hooked us up - even though we came in 10 minutes before close.

Dispensing fees are the lowest around too at $4ish!

Two young ladies working in pharmacy whose name I didn't catch were amazing! I made a mistake, and even it was my own fault they went above and beyond to help me. If your doc's office faxing prescriptions to pharmacy, call and check first if they are filled! (I didn't).

Customer service staff extremely helpful, had some issues with my Gift Certificate for my CIBC master card , they went on above to help me out.

Very happy with costco pharmacy and prices. I always fax in new prescriptions (yes, I still have a fax machine) or phone for renewals...then the pickup is easy.

Always courteous and efficient. Sometimes a longer wait but that is not their fault. Careful to explain options on immunizations.

Wait is a bit longer however if you drop off your prescription and do your shopping, it'll usually be ready by the time you're finished

The pharmacy is easy to work with in all ways but the only exception is how busy they are.

Great price for prescriptions but expect to wait as it will be busy

When it's really busy it kinda sux long waits crowded aisles. When it's not as busy it can be very quick to get through. Staff are always great samples are awesome, great value and that goes far for my family!

Needed emergency anti-seizure medication for our dog and they told us it would be a three day wait because "a lot of people have been calling asking for rush orders". This isn't the first time either... our regular vet as well as our neurologist have faxed over seizure prescriptions only for them to have "never received them".

That being said it does seem like they're struggling with the volume of prescriptions but that's not our fault and I don't think our dog (or anyone) should suffer because of their incompetence... maybe they should think about hiring a more competent manager and get more staff.

If I was writing this review three years ago I would be giving them five stars. I really appreciate all the hard work and great service that they have provided us and I don't want that to be ignored; but, something has changed in the past two years and it hasn't gone unnoticed. Whether its the pharmacy cracking under the pressure of our population growth or poor management, until things get better, we have had to move our dogs time sensitive anticonvulsant prescriptions to a different pharmacy.

Customers are rude

Looking to make friends? Want a new hobby? Have your prescriptions filled at Langford Costco and you will have hours of opportunities to chat with strangers or play an app on your phone while you wait.

Prescription pick-up takes a 45-60 minutes in line. Often I wait only to find out that it wasn't filled yet or that they are out of that drug. I no longer have time for this.

Sorry Costco, you simply cannot keep up with demand, and after trying for the last two years to be patient - I am done with you.
