Grey Eagle Resort and Casino

A great casino and even greater buffet! I have not stayed at or played much in the casino so I will only review the buffet portion. I went during Prime Rib Night and the food was great! The selection wasn't massive, but there was a good amount of tasty meat, pasta, sweets, and other desserts that night. I enjoyed nearly everything on offer, and the staff were quick to remove finished plates from our table and the tables themselves were clean when we arrived as well. Pricing was reasonable too and I enjoyed the experience. I recommend checking this buffet out when you're in the area!

We spent 4 nights at the Grey Eagle and I cannot remember the last time I had such consistently amazing service.
Every person in every place was phenomenal.
Our check in and check out were smooth. The ladies were polite and helpful.
We ordered room service one night and the call was answered quickly, food was delivered hot, the people again were lovely.
We ate at the restaurant, the Blaze bar, had breakfast where the buffet is served, and had drinks at the Stage lounge. Every single server was fantastic! Everyone was polite, kind, engaged, kept drinks full, cracked jokes (when appropriate) and was all around awesome.
The bands were awesome the two nights we got to enjoy them.
Our room was clean and spacious, house keeping did a lovely job!
We stayed when it was 40 below and they even had staff out helping people to boost their vehicles.
I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again!
Not sure who the managers are but I hope you are so proud of all of your staff!!

Been going to the Grey Eagle for a number of years. Have had a couple bumps here as will happen sometimes to expected. Great food, good prices and attentive if not friendly staff. With as long as I've been going a couple staff have become like family. Highly recommend. (For transparancy, I have never had the fortune to stay in one of the Resort rooms overnight so i have left that stat blank until.that experience changes).

Shout out to the staff at Little Chief Restaurant for looking after us for my grandson birthday 👏If you’re looking for a quiet place for birthdays and small group, check out the Little Chief❤👌They did an amazing job especially our waitress Sadie and thank you Shane Spence. The food was so good, I was impressed with the new menu and the presentation of the food. Mom had her favourite Salmon and the beef short ribs was so good. Martin has the rib eye steak and bone marrow and meat was so soft👍. The bison burger had a picture of a buffalo on it👏I would recommend the food, so delicious 😊First Nation Cuisine at it’s finest 🥰

The room was nice and clean. My check in was fast. My friend loved her stay. She had a really nice night.

The only bad thing about the room was that the mini fridge didn't work, it was warm. The cabinet where it was placed was also very dirty inside. Also the carpet was very dirty. It looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in a long time.

Also, the ice bucket was way to small.

Modern facilities hotel, the room was spacious, comfortable, and clean. The restaurant is very pleasant, and in the casino, there is a buffet with themed food in the evening according to the day and season of the year.

One of the best hotels I’ve been to across Calgary. The staff are so kind and helpful and the rooms are clean and comfortable. It feels freshly renovated and overall it has been a pleasant stay. We were displaced by a fire and the hotel was accommodating of our pets and family. Would recommend to anyone staying in the southwest side of town

Heard about the amazing buffet here. Came on the prime rib night. Not only was the medium rare prime rib cooked to perfection, they also had a medium well option for those who like it that way. Food was great, service was excellent, great price point for wine as well. Atmosphere was wonderful, not overly crowed. Even the gravy was wonderful. Will definitely come back when visiting Calgary again.

Tonight was my first Thursday and I'm t felt almost as jumping as a Friday night at Grey Eagle 🦅 I absolutely love this place and everything about it. The food is my number One. And this is the type of place that really has an overall positive culture and the staff here.dont have it easy but do their best to accommodate your visit and make you feel right at home. I think I come here more than the others simply because I love the way it feels like a trip out of the city even though its pinly a 25 minute drive from Downtown. Thursday and Friday I have been there for Band/Artist Performance nights. The space. The lights, the down to everything else.is movie worthy

A bit late in posting but we booked two nights late summer 2023. The bed in our room was very uncomfortable so we decided to check out after one night. Spoke with the manager to let him know so they could switch out mattress for next customer. He went above and beyond to keep us there another night as planned by upgrading us. He was beyond helpful and accommodating! I highly recommend this hotel and am looking forward to my next trip to Calgary and will most definitely stay here again! Restaurant in hotel was great. Staff was amazing in the restaurant. I would steer clear of the Casino buffet. My partner was violently ill after consuming (I did not partake thankfully). He informed the manager of the restaurant and a report was filed. The casino itself was fun, typical. Again, highly recommend the hotel!

I have honestly never stayed in the rooms. My husband and I go on a date night once a month to this casino. We attend the buffet. The place is clean, staff are friendly and the chairs are available for compliments and questions. There is so much food that even a picky eater would find something they like. They have a full array of entree items, a full salad bar, and an amazing dessert bar! The waiters are fast at refilling your drinks and are friendly. The dinner buffet is a must for anyone going to the casino. As to our date night tradition we each have $20 to spend in the casino. There is a non smoking and smoking side in this casino so be aware of that. They have live music to sit and enjoy or play slots while enjoying the music. Would recommend this place for a nice fun date night. When I have experienced more of the casino and resort I will update this review to include the other features of this resort.

Beautiful place to stay!
Stayed here for husband's Christmas party. It was beautiful.
I can totally understand the rules they have in place and costs for things.. which are way pricey. Paying for convenience, I suppose, as it's a bit isolated.
Staff were a bit more on the professional side, which is great and very professional. Just doesn't leave room for personality!
Loved the event center! The guitars are a sweet touch!
I can't wait to stay again!

Great hotel! Check in was quick and easy, we were able to book the hotel same-day as walk ins and still got a reasonable rate. The rooms were clean and spacious. The bathroom was a bit on the smaller side, but still very clean. The shower floor area looked a bit older, but everything else looked recently renovated or new. Definitely try Little Chief restaurant if you are staying here, the food was delicious there!

My partner and I come to Grey Eagle almost weekly and we get food/drinks from the stage bar. 10/10 food, and service. Courtney is one of the best servers I’ve personally ever had.

Went there for a work conference. The conference was in the hotel so we stayed there. Room was great, clean and spacious. The Indigenous art was amazing! Staff were friendly including security and person at the door. During the conference, we had some issues with the audio but IT come to help right away and got the issue fixed. The food in the casino was okay (I'm sure the restaurant food could have been better). We had left over treats at the conference and staff was happy to box it for us. Definitely hope to go again and explore more!

Service was fast, food was great,friendly staff. Very clean and beautiful. Price was great for the food you got. I recommend to this to all my Facebook friends and family.

I only wish that I could just afford to stay here forever. I enjoyed my food, time and service provided, by all the native staff. I only wish there was more native feeling In the place.

My family had an amazing dinner here… Seafood Buffet Night is on every Thursday night at this Grey Eagle Resort & Casino! The spread of fresh seafood and cooked food will definitely whet one’s appetite. Lobster claws, crab legs, scallops, prawns, clams, mussels, fried squid, salmon carpaccio just to name some of the food available. They even have steak and different varieties of cooked food for you to choose. The salad bar was loaded with so many types of fresh vegetables and you can mix and match with nuts, seeds, fruits and salad dressings. Desserts were delicious and one must definitely try the chocolate fondue fountain! Remember to go early because the queue will be long. Reasonable price for good quality food!

We have stayed at Grey Eagle numerous times for different events. Atmosphere and service have always been professional and enjoyable. This is a very well managed property. Last night we attended the NYE GALA with TROOPER, played the slots and enjoyed our comfy bed. We got up this morning and had a lovely breakfast and then enjoyed a few more shots before heading for home. Grey Eagle has never disappointed us.
