Zack's Lounge

Loved it! The food was delicious, the server was attentive, and they made sure to check back with me about the dish I ordered so it would be okay for my gluten sensitivity. The pulled pork sandwich was delicious.

Stopped on our way through cuz we were starving and this place came up as being open and had good reviews. Shared some wings and the pulled pork sandwich, both were delicious. They make the pulled pork and the sauce for the wings in-house and I would definitely recommend both. What made the experience a 10 out of 10 was the service. Our server was super personable, told us about the food and made recommendations, quick with the food, and even loaned us a phone charger! He was the kinda guy you would want as your bartender if you were sitting at the bar alone, someone you felt like was an old friend. Will 100% go back when we are looking for food in Ladysmith again!

Came here based on a recommendation from a woman at Ladysmith Community Marina. I could not have been more pleased. I had the Chicken Club sandwich with a salad and it was by far the best chicken sandwich I've ever had. My husband was equally pleased with his chicken burger (Zack's Burger). Without a doubt, the next time we're in the area, we will be back to enjoy Cole's hospitality. I give it 5 stars, something I seldom do. On a side note, my blood sugars were taking a dive and Cole immediately gave me some Coke to ward off a bad reaction, no charge.

Based on a recommendation and the food was fantastic! Front staff were so kind and able to put a rush order in for us so we could catch a ferry! Super chill and lovely! Kitchen staff were great! Great experience and plan on going back!😊

We went to Zack's for the first time today and... I think I have a new favourite pub. Food was great. Service was good. Tunes and ultimate atmosphere was welcoming and homey. 100 % recommend to others. It is definetly a highlight of Ladysmith.

What a great find. We were meeting friends from out of town and we choose Zacks. Atmosphere, service from owner (not named Zack), drink selection and food was outstanding. Our vegan friend was accommodated with a yummy home made burger. The fries are mouth watering as is their fried chicken and wings. Everything was perfect including the prices. Highly recommend. My only request would be a salad with a vegan protein other than the vegetarian halloumi choice.

Had a great experience visiting zack's. Had went there in the evening after a swim in the lake. We ordered the pork lettuce wrap and wings as appiez. Both of them tasted amazing. The beer and the food was amazing. The patio has heaters as well, to keep you warm and cozy. Worth the money and time spent. Great service and friendly staff!

We have come to Zack’s a number of times. After giving up our local haunt as it changed hands and was never the same, we started looking for a new one. We have been to Zack’s many times and now feel we have finally found our new local favorite. Cole is awesome and wonderfully personal yet not intrusive. The food is consistently great, the service exemplary and the prices are not outlandish.

My partner often defers to the homemade burger and says it is the best he’s ever had. AND the fries are not just your normal salted potato out of the deep fryer. These are specially and uniquely seasoned to make them stand out among the usual fare.

We have now sampled many items on the menu and have found them all to be top notch. For me, food must be wholesome, not laden with the most convenient chemical laden stuff. The service needs to be consistent, friendly but not intrusive and on point. Please don’t come to my table and ask me how my meal is when I have just taken a bite. You won’t find this at Zack’s.

As we have now eaten there more than 1/2 dozen times, I can honestly say they care about their food, how it is prepared and how it is presented as well as their customers. It is a hard place to reach especially now during Covid and so much additional expense being placed on our local restaurants to keep everyone safe.

Thank you for being our new regular favorite local place to eat.

Large patio on the strip, crispy fries and a burger patty with a spice blend they wouldn't share (shhhh! Chef's secret blend).

I had the Namesake burger (Zacks Burger) with the beef patty and obviously I upgraded to the house fries. Trust me, you want the upgrade, unless you have a business meeting afterwards! The garlic aioli is intense! Perfectly suited to the crispy but not overcooked fries topped with freshly grated Parmesan, the aioli just makes them irresistible. If you start with the fries, set a reminder to save room for the burger.

The burger is perfect. A well seasoned patty layered with all the right fixings. Crispy bacon, ripe tomatoes, red onion, thick cheddar slice and of course butter lettuce! There's a slight kick from either the house sauce or the burger patty which is welcomed and helps marry the rest of the flavors. Let's not forget the brioche bun, grilled to a crisp edge, and not dense or overpowering. The perfect delivery system!

Don't drive by without at least taking some house fries to go!

Great little spot, came from Duncan to check it out. Amazing food, I had the chicken club with parmesan fries. Very friendly vibe, cozy atmosphere.

Food and drinks are legendary. Premium liquors for regular price. These guys rock. Best fried chicken I have had.... plus it's GF

We came for dinner and sat out on their deck out the front.

Zari was excellent. Was fast, informative, and answered all our questions. The food was great with good portions and prices, and left us feeling satisfied and not greasy or bloated.

We have had a number of great times at Zacks. They are all so friendly with great service and the food is always delicious! I hope they will expand in the near future so more people can enjoy this restaurant.

What a treat to discover this chic gem in beautiful Ladysmith.
Everything that made it to our table was worthy of praise, but I have to mention the extraordinary brussel sprouts. Now, I know that brussel sprouts aren't on everyone's 'must try' list, but you definitely MUST TRY. They will make a sprout lover of you.
Not only memorable eats, and the beers tapped perfectly, but Cole treated us like we were part of the family. (If only my Mom had cooked like that.)

Stopped here for a pre-dinner drink. Lovely old (in a really good way) hole in the wall. Great friendly service. Will be back to enjoy a meal next time.

What an outstanding dining experience! I was greeted with a big hello and was made to feel welcome immediately. Ms. A. offered engaging and efficient service.
The lounge is cozy with a choice of booth, tables, or a seat at the bar. I chose to sit at the bar and met Mr. C. who is one of the owners and was one of the bartenders for the evening. He was friendly,
very interesting, and a great service provider.
But it's the food! Their fried chicken is the best I have ever tasted-- a crunchy delight with a hint of Korean fusion. Excellent. I experienced this chicken in a sandwich called, "The Absolute Unit." Truly a taste explosion on a fresh Ciabatta.
I can understand why this lounge has so many repeat customers.
Zack's Lounge is gem in the beautifully, inviting town of Ladysmith.
