The Broken Paddle Coffee House

Excellent coffee & baked goods. We ordered lattes and mom loved the cookie. Next day I was lucky enough to arrive while banana muffins were still hot.

This is one of my favourite little gem spots in Metchosin. She makes delicious everything! From her breakfast sandwiches to samosas and all the baked goods. A hearty warning on the banana bread though, it’s absolutely highly addictive. I am someone who believes I make the best banana bread and well the lovely owner sure makes me question if I do. I do warn it will become your next addiction, but it would be a right one to have 😋😋
Also one of my favourites staples here in a chocolate chia latte- just to note I’ve never actually liked chia and this little hot drink has my hailing in its delicious glory🙌🫶🙌
Last but not least, the outside is dog friendly, always the right crowd of people in here and there is always stunning new local art on display which is another one of my favourite reasons for stopping in whenever I get the chance😁 10/10✨👌👌

If you are lucky enough to come to this place while it's open you will be treated with amazing coffee, food, people, and atmosphere. The hours are few and far between but the quality is unmatched, I love this place. A Metchosin staple.

The Broken Paddle was my treat for a job well done on a bike ride on the galloping goose. I had a latte & a super healthy, delicious energy ball (entirely healthy raw ingredients, I was told). I didn't want to leave my bike out front so the server kindly showed me to the little patio area out back. What a sweet little calm garden! There are enough bistro tables for several groups to gather but I had the place to myself that day.
I think that The Broken Paddle is definitely a destination stop especially if you're out on a bike ride on the Goose.

What a great place. We arrived as the owner was closing up and she welcomed us in. Fantastic coffee and Chai lattee, delicious scones and amazing service. We look forward to visiting again

Delicious pumpkin spice latte with homemade syrup and a really great egg muffin. Lovely vibe and has toys for toddlers to play with! Will definitely be back

So lucky to have this amazing little café in our community. The food is always incredible and everything is sourced locally if possible. Shannon takes genuine pride in what she puts in your cup or on your plate, and the conversation is always great. The only down side is it encourages me not to cook breakfast at home because you just can’t knock off those Broken Eggers!

Great coffee, tasty baked goods, and delightful conversation. Everything I have eaten from here has been great, you can't go wrong! I particularly recommend the outrigger breakfast sandwich.

Lovely coffee shop, had a great latte and the server even told me about a fantastic trail nearby so I could walk my dog!

My favourite place to buy coffee! I loved the "Dirty Chai" and their Americano. :-) Always a pleasure going here, relaxed place to have a nice beverage, or delicious meal/snack. Amazing owner and staff.

The Broken Paddle is a beautiful little gem in the heart of Metchosin. The goodies are made with love and the coffee is always fantastic. The owner has created something very special there. Don't miss out on the little backyard hangout when the weather's nice!

One of the best Oat Lattes I've had at a reasonable price. Nice, quiet, cozy shop. The Barista was nice (not loud & jacked on caffeine trying too hard like most places)

This is a most go to spot in Metchosin. The people will put a smile on your day, the coffee is exceptional, the food is great and the snacks are perfect. If they happen to have the home made banana bread do not miss out.
