Millennium Library (Winnipeg Public Library main branch)

This library is a fantastic spot for studying. It’s super quiet, providing an ideal environment for focused work. One standout feature is the abundance of parking options, making it convenient for visitors.

Quick tip: If you’re using the underground parking, hold off on paying until you’re leaving. I learned the hard way and paid $2 for no reason 😅.

Unlike some other libraries with larger tables, here you’ll find plenty of spots for single seating. It’s perfect if you prefer your own space. Plus, there’s a nearby food court, adding extra convenience to your study breaks. Overall, a solid choice for a productive and comfortable study session.

This place is a wonderful site for books, if you either love to read or perhaps would like to use them for research. It is a good public outing for family too. They have an area for children. Even by yourself is still fun. Maybe just to get out of the house on weekend.

Michelle was very helpful and kind. Set me up with a library card and made sure I understood all the services I had access to now, where my nearest library was and how to use online services as well. She was patient when I had questions and made gong back to the library after so many years a great experience!

Superb library that offers so many services, resources, and free programming. Great building too with lots of places to sit and read, study, or relax (including outdoors too).

Only downside is that I am not confident my bicycle would still be locked to the bike rack if I cycled to/from the library. Maybe? But I am not willing to take the chance. :(

Millennium library definitely lives up to its name, Modern, comfortable ergonomic furniture and clean. Has a quiet room I enjoy for maximum concentration and no distractions. There are also tutoring rooms, fountains, clean washrooms, magazines, all you can read books etc.... And staff is always helpful and friendly.

The Millennium Library is amazing looking on the inside and out. Very convenient as it's in downtown Winnipeg. It's a nice experience to sit down read a couple books and find some books you would like to check out.

Security is slightly inconvenient, but unfortunately they are necessary and they do a wonderful job.

Beautiful place! Very easy to get a library card and the building is very nice. A lot of chill areas to read and study.

Spacious..easy to locate..the library has a lot of materials,ranging from law to political science yo health and comic books...its has four foors and it was easy to get my library card(5mins)..the library workers are polite and they are all helpful..its a serene and lovely place to read...its located in the heart of Winnipeg (Downtown ) and it is one of the largest in Canada ...

New to the city, I went to
The library and I fall in love with it. It is a great place with thousands of books. There are missing some new ones and some important authors of today, but it is great. I also play chess here with a chess club.

It's been a time and a half since I was last here but the library looks (and smells) the same. Some of the books on the shelves are a little older but it's always fun to see the more obscure manga they have, not to mention how much effort is put into each display!

This library has so much space to work or read in - the staff are very friendly and helpful. In the summer the park behind it is lovely! There's a huge amount of material available here, and they'll transfer things in from the other branches for you.
The new 3D printer looks really cool but I haven't tried it yet. There are lots of events at this location for children and adults.
