Price can’t be beat ($3-5 per drop-in) and it’s spacious, clean, and has good vibes. Hours are limited, but I prefer going here for the price and equipment, opposed to a place open 24/7.

Monday to Thursday: 5:30 am to 8 pm
Friday: 5:30 am to 6 pm
Weekends and holidays: 8 am to 4 pm

I love working out alone here. Thanks to the nice staff!

The university's rec centre is good. It's never over crowded and there's good ventilation throughout the center. The shower rooms are nice and clean. There's table-tennis, badminton and basketball court inside the rec center. There's even a seperate section for weights. Highly recommended for university students to take full advantage of these resources!

It’s a nice place to play basketball. The price is pretty reasonable. And free parking everyday! Before you go there do yourself a favour. Check the schedule for the gym.

What are you looking for in a gym? Have you asked yourself? What is your philosophy of use? Reflect and ask yourself what you are looking for. This University Based Gym on the Campus of Royal Roads University is a small medium gym with free-weights, cable machines, treadmills, stair climbers, stair-masters, personal trainer access, squash courts, 1/2 basketball courts with access of badminton, pickle ball, separate aerobics room, hosts events like boot-camp, yoga, spin classes (sign up required), they also offer bike rentals to explore the historic campus, this gym has access to showers and fresh towels, squat racks and bench press. Times vary, however, I've never had to wait for a bench for types of workouts. Staff here are very nice, friendly, it's service with a smile. You may borrow locks as well.

Really pleased with this facility. They have all the equipment one might need, fair prices, it’s located in a beautiful campus, and it never gets crazy busy where I need to wait 30 mins for an equipment.

Great location hidden away in the RRU forest. Old and rustic building but all the equipment you need is there. No line-ups or waiting. Awesome friendly staff and I love that sometimes there is a dog helping with greeting the customers. Reminds me a little of the gym in Dodgeball.

Excellent staff who really care and will take the time to chat about everything from your fitness goals to how your day is going. A hidden gem, highly recommend!
