Over 10 years ago I had several horrible experiences at my previous Dentist so I stopped going. This combined with living an unhealthy lifestyle caused me not to see a dentist for MANY years. I developed a dental phobia which progressively got worse. Finally after cleaning my life up and with my teeth so bad they were rotting out of my mouth, I had to do something, and this was where Urban Smiles Colwood came into my life. From day 1 my fears were put at ease. Dr. Staples’ careful/gentle approach at methodically tackling my litany of dental issues tooth by tooth has been nothing short of amazing. Her sincere and compassionate attitude combined with high degree of professional skill, and state of the art dental facility keeps me calm, relaxed, and pain free- even during those most difficult appointments. I recommend Urban Smiles Colwood to EVERYONE, but especially those who’ve neglected their teeth and shied away from visiting a Dentist in the past. Urban Smiles Colwood has allowed me to get all my teeth repaired at a pace that works for me. No matter how ashamed I was at the state of my teeth when I first walked in- I’ve ALWAYS been treated with the utmost care and respect and I’m no longer ashamed of my smile. My confidence grows each and every appointment. If she can fix my teeth the way she has then I GUARANTEE there’s NO PROBLEM TOO BIG or too small for Dr. Staples and her team at Urban Smiles Colwood to handle. I’m extremely grateful to have such a wonderful Dentist.

I developed a toothache in my lower molar Thursday and by the evening it was raging. Friday morning at 9 am I began calling dentists. My own dentist was closed for the long weekend and about 10 other dentists I called including the emergency dental clinic were full booked. Luckily for me, Urban Smiles said they could squeeze me in at 11:10 am. Dr.Staples and her team did an emergency root canal right on the spot! They saved my long weekend and possibly me from blood poisoning! I wish I could give them 10 stars! Thank you so much.

Love Dr. Staples and her dentistry team, including Maddie the golden doodle. My kids and I have had excellent care from all the staff and it’s worth it for us to drive from a neighbouring community to continue our care at Urban Smiles. Dr. Staples is inspirational and we look forward to our visits.

I have never had a bad experience with Urban Smiles! All staff are kind and wonderful to work with; I am very anxious with dental procedures and they have helped so much with making me feel comfortable. I will never go anywhere else!

Dr. Staples was very thorough with everything that was going to occur and afterwards, especially being the first time with any major work to my teeth. As well, she and her team made me feel comfortable at all times. Very patient as well. Friendly staff once I walked in the door.

I've had dental trauma and anxiety and have avoided the dentist for 10 years. Dr Staples and her team do an amazing job catering to my needs, offering lots of options like weighted blankets, nitrous oxide and a therapy dog! Highly recommend if you have anxiety.

New to the area and didn’t have a dentist yet. Had an emergency and needed to be seen quickly. Was seen same day and most of my issue was taken care of then! I was brought back in the next day to finish the work.
Everyone was so kind and helpful.
Grateful I found them in my time of need.

An amazing clinic for people like me with dental anxiety. You really feel taken care of. I never have to ask for things like a weighted blanket, they know and they offer it to you. Everyone from the receptionists to hygienists is friendly and remembers you from your last visit. I love that I see consistent people every time. They also made my 4-year-old's cleaning a positive, fun experience. As for Dr Staples, she's thorough, thoughtful, and left no stone unturned in helping me with a complex case of tooth pain. Grateful for this place and these folks!

Dr. Staples and the team were great throughout the process from start to finish of some extensive dental work i recently had completed. I appreciate that I was involved with each step and great care was taken to ensure I was happy with the appearance and feel of the work done. Jordan and Paige and the other assistants in the process helped me feel as comfortable as possible. And a final thank you to Maddy, the office pup who was there to lend additional support. Highly recommend for all your dental needs, especially if you’re looking to get any restorative or cosmetic procedures done.

Dr. Rachel Staples is THE best dentist I’ve ever had. Her professionalism and skill level is beyond anything I have ever experienced in the past. Maybe even more importantly, she is a remarkable, kind person who cares about her patients.

I was unhappy with and somewhat ashamed of the condition of my teeth for years, which resulted in anxiety going to the dentist to take the first step to improve them. It’s like being so out of shape that you feel like you have to work out at home before you can go to a gym…but never do.

When I met Dr. Staples and the team at Urban Smiles, I knew they were the right fit for me, immediately. Not once have I felt judged…only supported and respected.

Over the past two years, they have been working to restore a smile I can be proud of. I trust them whole-heartedly with my dental care, knowing they always make my best interest a priority.

Amazing staff!!! Dr. Staples is an amazing and extremely knowledgeable professional lady. The frontstaff are also so kind and informative. Sabrina, my new dental hygienist, is brilliant. My cleaning whitened my teeth by 20% and that was just a cleaning !!!!!!!! Very lucky to have found these lovely people

I recently found Urban Smiles Colwood. I had really great service and treatment with them. I would not hesitate in recommending them to look after your dental needs. They also have the best decor in their office and play awesome music.

This is an amazing dental practice! The staff is so warm and welcoming and the atmosphere is almost soothing. If you experience anxiety or fear of the dentist this is the place for you! They offer different anxiety reducing options from weighted blankets to a therapy dog (so cute!) to nitrous oxide. After a lot of different dentists, Dr. Staples is the only dentist I will allow to touch my teeth, because she takes my concerns seriously and does a wonderful job!

Rachael Staples is a lifesaver. Injections for tardive dyskinesia when neurologists couldn’t get it done right. Many, many thanks.

It's always a pleasure going to Urban Smiles. I have been with them for years and wouldn't ever change. From the staff at the front desk, the hygienists, and Dr Staples..and of course Maddy the dog who always sits patiently by your side when you have injections ..A+

Overall best dental office I have been to ever not to mention the staff! From front desk to assistants and Dentist!!! I couldn't ask for more and I am not a lover of the dentist. This visit was easy breezy and I look forward to more.
