Great place to go with your family for a picnic and maybe swimming in the water. Grab a chair and just sit in the water. Lots benches in the wood and near the water. They have non-flush washrooms and lots of parking. Grounds to play sports for kids and adults.

What a great escape, and so close to the city.

There is lots of parking here, multiple pit toilets and picnic tables. There are fire pits up top at the parking lot and more picnic tables along the river bank.

There is a hike, Alder Loop that leaves from the parking lot, and from that you can access a connector hike - Banded Peak connector, that will take you all the way to Banded Peak school. These are easy hikes, the trails are mostly wide and easy to walk. They are all well marked. If you are just going for the hike there is a parking lot along the hiway to park in.

Beautiful park to enjoy some nature in. I saw an American Three-toed Woodpecker, Gray Jay's, Deer and a lot of American Red Squirrels roaming the forest! There are a handful of benches near the creek to chill at and a bunch of picnic tables near the parking lot as well.

A beautiful park just outside of Calgary . It has 2 good size parking lots from the entrance we took. Washrooms on site as well. Various Picnic benches by the lot and by the river. Great for families or the romantic couple we were. This was taken Sept 22 2019 at 530pm ish.

Beautiful little park with picnic tables and fire pits! The river is the real attraction here though as there is a branch off where the littles can play in the water and climb on the rocks! It’s a great place and we will be back!

A nice getaway just outside the city. There are two short hiking paths just off the park. One along the river and one into the mountains. Both are worth checking out. You can come here for a picnic or to host an outdoor birthday party or gathering. It's quite close to Bragg Creek, with shops and restaurants. I enjoyed the Sunday afternoon walk with the family, before heading to Bragg Creek for an ice cream

We, a family with two little kids, visited this beautiful provincial park yesterday. It was a wonderful hike, even though the trails were partly quite icy. Big plus: The trails were very well marked and maintained. Totally recommendable!

We did the Banded Peak Connector bench trail (6.12 km). It is rated moderate. It was a really nice hike. It is mostly in the trees so lots of shade on a warm day. There is a lot of different vegetation, including multiple varieties, and fascinating looking mushrooms. The distance is not a problem, but be warned there is quite a steep elevation change both coming and going (start and end of trail). The mid section is not as severe. Dogs are allowed on leash.

A beautiful day use area to just relax and take a walk or have a fire and picnic! It tends to be busy but people come and go a lot!!! Also being Lysol for the washrooms if using.

Beautiful place. Always managed to get a picnic table there. There are some near the river too. We carried our own portable barbeque. Ample parking, not too crowded. I visit once every summer
